Had the seafood risotto. Very tasty. Unfortunately the cannoli’s shell were very hard. Try the tiramisu instead.

I visited Jacopo for an intimate birthday dinner with my new fiancée and was extremely disappointed by the experience. I made this reservation well in advance, expecting a patio view for the special evening, but instead, we were seated in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen. Even worse, a walk-in group with no reservation was seated before us, after the hostess said, “I’ll make space.” It felt dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I informed the server that I have a tree nut allergy and specifically requested the pine nuts be removed from the carpaccio. The server came back and told me “pine nuts aren’t tree nuts.” As someone with a serious allergy, this was incredibly unsettling. Thankfully, a manager stepped in shortly after and assured us he would have the dish remade properly, which I appreciated, but that kind of misinformation from serving staff can be dangerous. Having just dined at Maggie Oakes next door the night before (for our engagement dinner), the contrast in service was stark. The staff there were attentive, kind, and even brought complimentary items to celebrate our engagement. Jacopo unfortunately didn’t offer even basic courtesy or care, especially for an occasion as meaningful as this. I wouldn’t return, and I don’t recommend it, especially for special events or anyone with dietary restrictions.

Nourriture excellente, mais service un peu lent. Groupe de 6 personnes, les entrées sont arrivées normalement, mais il a fallu attendre près de 1h pour les repas principaux par la suite. Le restaurant était bondé, mais c’était prévisible avec la terrasse pleine.

The restaurant was presented on OpenTable as someplace smaller and intimate focusing on fresh seasonal ingredients, and a good choice for a special occasion. This was inaccurate. It was large, noisy, and crowded, and nothing on the menu seemed seasonal or even freshly made. The service was extremely slow - we received (and finished) our appetizers before we even got our drinks, which our server had to prepare himself. Our server was very kind and made great efforts to try and make up for the issues with the meal and service, but we wouldn’t go back.

Great meal and excellent service. Our meals were served hot and timely! Reasonably priced for old Montreal. Would definitely go again! Recommend!

Très très bonne table…. À refaire avec grand plaisir. Dommage que la meule de parmesan n’est pas exposée sur la terrasse mais on reviendra prochaine fois pour s’installer à l’intérieur. On a moins bien aimé le cadre à l’étage, ça faisait cantine ou café moins cosi que le restaurant en bas.
