I came for brunch. The food was excellent, the Bloody Mary was fantastic, the service was poor. I had a reservation and was seated promptly. I then sat there for almost 15 minutes, I was actually getting up to leave, when the waitress finally came over to greet me. She never introduced herself, I still don't know her name. She never brought me water, I had to ask the bar server when he brought the Bloody Mary. She never offered a refill of my coffee, I had to ask the hostess. She never check back once the food expediter delivered my meal. She drop off the check, but never came back, so I finally had to flag someone else down. The food was excellent.
Overpriced. Server was fine but not great. Food mediocre
I have eaten here many times, and the meeter greeter is almost always the least friendly, but this Tuesday 2/18/20 the young woman didn’t say hello to us, and never spoke to us after we rejected her worst table offer and she gave us another table in an empty place! She would never work for me or my wife!
Good Afternoon- Thank you for taking the time to write us this note about your experience with us. We truly make it a priority to greet each of guests with a welcoming tone. It appears as though we missed the mark this time around. We'd love to invite you back in the near future!
Although our server was very friendly, she would often disappear. We saw our drinks siting and waiting at the bar... and then she blamed the bartender for the slow service when she was finally able to bring them to us.
But the food was every delicious and the atmosphere is great!
Hi MargitL- Thank you so much for leaving us a note about your time with us at Jackrabbit. We are so happy to hear you enjoyed your food and drink! Our apologies on a slow start to service, but we hope to welcome you back soon!
Excellent experience from start to finish
Went for brunch on a Sunday. Not particularly busy.Poor service for no apparent reason. Waited for too long to get a menu, have my order taken, then food came while still waiting for the coffee. Food was tasty, but not enough to make up for the service.
Hi Rkay- We appreciate the time you took to write us about your experience. Please accept our apologies for the delay and missteps in service you experienced. We hope to welcome you back in the near future!
I had wanted to eat here for a very long time. I'm happy I finally tried it but I did find it to be very expensive with limited selection. I had the Duck special for Valentine's Day and it was OK I wasn't super amazed. The restaurant itself is nice and I loved the Gin, Beet and Passion fruit drink, really good
Hi MohBear- Thank you for leaving us this note. We appreciate you joining us for the special occasion. The Mill Ends is a crowd favorite here, be sure to stop back soon during our Happy Hour to try more of our specialty cocktails!
The service and food was fabulous, we shared a steak and vegetables, but delicious cocktails and dessert
Hi StaceyC- We are delighted to hear about your experience with us, we can't wait to welcome you back!
The pig's head is tasty, but be warned it is extra fatty. The skin is nice and crunchy. Good cocktails.
Food and ambiance was great, service...incredibly slow. Painfully slow. The server was told that one of our business guests had to leave in an hour...drinks were brought, apps were brought then an hour and 15 minutes later the main was brought. Our business guest had to leave without eating his meal
We ate here once before, excellent. This time, not as good. Flat Iron steak was tough. Oysters and tuna were delicious.
Hi there- Thank you sharing about your most recent experience. We'd like to extend our apologies for the tough steak. We hope to welcome you back in the near future and show you what we are all about!
Very yummy food , eggs benni with salmon and pancakes were really good
Thanks for your kind note! The egg benni is a show stopper!
The Jackrabbit burger was delicious! The duck leg was fine, but the lentil combo underneath was yum!
Hello- Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback. So happy to hear you enjoyed, the burger is divine!
Good service and nice space but prices don’t match the quality of food. $35 for a flank steak with not a ton of flavor and very small sides. Other meals at my table looked equally unimpressive. Also very loud, not the best for s business meal.
Hi there- Thank you so much for leaving us this note about your experience. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the space, and thank you for the honest feedback about your meal. We will use this as a guide to improve our offerings. We hope to welcome you back in the not too distant future!
Great food and ambiance.
Food and drinks quite good (had the Coin Toss drink; interesting); pastas and dessert (bread pudding) were very good. Somewhat pricey.
Hi ChristopherC- Thank you taking time out of your day to share with us some of your Jackrabbit favorites. We hope to welcome you back soon!
Great smart attentive service!!! What we had - chicken- was excellent. But menu felt somewhat limited. Also get Martini glasses folks - I know it’s trivial but always dislike having makeup glass ware...
Thank you for the kind note! We hope to see you again soon!
I'm never sure about restaurants located inside of hotels, but Jackrabbit came through with flying colors. The menu has some very interesting things and everything we ordered was just superb. The oysters were local and very fresh and served with three different toppings. Appetizers of "3 Little Pigs" and Kale and Hazelnut Salad were both excellent. Pasta entrees of the Rigatoni Bolognese and Papardelle Pork Ragu used house-made pasta and were fabulous. We topped off the meal with a wonderful Apple Crisp with ice cream in a small cast iron skillet. Even though we brought a bottle of wine, their wine list is very comprehensive and covers amazing wines from all over the world.
Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!!!
Hi AllanG- Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words about your experience with us at Jackrabbit. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your time thoroughly. We hope to welcome you back soon!
Excellent service and food. Thank you for making my husbands birthday special.
Thank you for celebrating your special occasion with us! Happy Birthday!
Amazing food! Our waiter was also outstanding, I wish I could remember his name. There were five of us dining and he was kind, attentive and welcoming. Our water glasses were never empty. Thank you so much for an amazing evening!
Thank you so much for dropping the kind note! We hope to see you back soon!
Everything was fantastic! There were 6 of us and we all left feeling the same way. We can’t wait to go back and try more food!
Hi MegJ- Thank you for dropping us a note about your wonderful time with us here at Jackrabbit! We can't wait to welcome you back!
10 people for out-of-town family brunch. Was perfect!
Hi there- Thank you so much for your kind comments. We can't wait to welcome you back soon!
It was good but not great. Mainly because the server was in a foul mood. The risotto tasted like cold flavorless soup and was overcooked. It really didn't really have anything special. The ambiance was a little too noisy for our liking. They brought out our main dishes while the appetizers were still on the table.
Hi DaveY- While we wish all our guests to have an outstanding experience with us, it sounds as though we missed the mark this time. Our apologies, we thank you for your feedback and will use it to better ourselves moving forward. We appreciate your time to leave us this note. We hope to welcome you back soon!
We heard great thing about this restaurant and decided to try it out for our selves. We sat down and our waitress approached with an attitude right away. No smile. She was short and acted annoyed when we had questions out the menu.
I ordered the market fish and it was raw in the center so they had to send it back to the kitchen. My husband ate his dinner while I waited for my to be recooked. The waitress brought our wine, and was a very small pores. My husband was never offered another glass, but I was after I sent my raw fish back to the kitchen. I thought she offered me another glass of wine on the house since my husband wasn’t asked but we were charged for both the undercooked protein and the second glass of wine.
It’s been my experience has been when the food is a mistake, or undercooked the restaurant tries to make it right by taking off the meal or at least a drink from the bill.
The waitress brought the bill and we felt like she was pushing us to get out, she kept coming back to take the signed receipt from us, but I was still trying enjoy 2nd glass of wine. Finally she stood over us and waited at the table while my husband singed the receipt and handed it to her. It was so rude and unprofessional.
We both left still hungry and went to get something else to eat after we left somewhere else. Our dinner was $120 plus tip and we will never go back. Such a huge disappointment.
Hi there- We want to extend our apologies for the less than satisfactory experience you had with us at Jackrabbit. Our goal is to have each and everyone of our guests leave feeling happy and full. It sounds like we missed the mark this time around. We appreciate your feedback and will use this to improve ourselves in the future. We value your time and thank you for the note.
You'd expect a restaurant called Jackrabbit to have speedy service. We waited 30+ minutes before our cocktails arrived, and another 20 before for our salad. The food was OK, but not worth the high prices.
Hi Molly, It's never easy to hear that our guests have had a less than excellent time with us. Our apologies on the delay in service, and we will use your feedback to move forward stronger.
Good food in a good atmosphere.
Hi Dan, thank you for leaving us a kind note! Stop back soon for more delicious bites and libations.
The only downside was that they had a hard time seating our party of 6 without cramming us into a booth suited for 5.
The food was very good in most cases, especially the duck leg, and appetizers. I’d definitely go back.
We are delighted to hear you enjoyed the food, the duck leg is a favorite around here for sure! On your next visit mention to host if you have a preferred choice in seating, and we will do our very best to accommodate those wishes.

We were seating in one of the private rooms which was amazing! The food was okay for what you pay, but the ambiance was nice.
Hi Molly- Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us about your experience at Jackrabbit. We appreciate your feedback, and are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us!
New Year’s Eve
Delicious entrees — the king salmon and risotto were exquisite: well-seasoned, fresh, and of good texture. The accompaniments were ok, as the mixed vegetables - a medley of root vegetables - had too much sage butter, while the mixed greens (chard and kale) were a solid, if not spectacular, choice.
Our culinary team sure does know how to delight the taste buds- so glad you enjoyed your time with us!
Went out for our first night in Portland. Service had a slow start, but after everything was lovely.
The service, food, drinks, atmosphere were all amazing, and my wife and I will definitely be coming back.
We look forward to welcoming you backs soon!
We were seated right away as there were only a few tables being served, but sat at a high top near the bar area even though there were regular tables available during our entire dinner. I ordered a beer that kicked, but was brought out the kicked beer (which makes it smell and taste very yeasty) and then subsequently a small water glass of beer from the new tapped keg. We ordered the oyster and charcuterie plate. The oysters weren’t shucked very well, but the charcuterie board was great. Our main dishes were either under seasoned or straight-up lukewarm. Paying $24 for a small bowl of lukewarm pasta was not worth the money. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing and we won’t be going back.
Hi RobertL- We take all feedback seriously, and thank you for sharing with us about your experience. We will use this to further improve our guest experience. Our team strives to exceed all expectations so please do not hesitate to request a specific table next time you stop in!
everyones food was great and the $50.00 burger was amazing!!

Came to Jackrabbit for Christmas dinner and it was so delicious! Would definitely recommend this spot! Food was very flavorful
Went for Christmas dinner where a special menu was in place as well as their regular menu. Appetizers were amazing. Sadly, no one wanted to "share" any of the shared entrees, but that did allow us to sample a number of the different offerings. The porchetta was tasty, as was the bacon pork chop. We also sampled two of the pastas as well as the chicken & polenta dish. Everything was delicious. I would have liked a bit more spicing in the pumpkin risotta, but it was nice all the same. Our server was delightful, attentive and fun. All in all, a wonderful way to end our Christmas Day celebration!
We saw the Christmas Day menu and thought we would give it a try. When we got there we got the brunch menu. The food wasn’t bad but we were expecting standing rib roast, not a hamburger. When we got home we checked the website to see if there was a start time for dinner that we missed. No, no time listed. Hopefully they fix that for any future special menus.
