The services was lacking, but the food was good.

I went to J&A with a friend for a beer and snacks, during the evening. I had to waive for the waiter every time I need something even tough I left the green sign on. I ordered the chicken fingers, which was about the size of chicken breasts and taste a lot like vinegar. Regardless, thanks to the nice ambience and beer, I had a good time, but I’ll definitely choose another place next time.

My mom has cancer - so she wiped down the table with a wipe when we sat down (given Covid concerns). The wipe was black - which was concerning. Waitress was friendly.

The food was horrible drinks were horrible. I just ate the what i could because they called last call will not be going back

Love the ambiance; it is just bustling. Awesome service! Food was great; we all loved it. Myself I had the Garlic herb shrimp pasta; it was delicious 🌟 Also the vanilla icecream was very yummy 😊 Am picky about my coffee and it too was good! We ladies will definitely be back if we are going to another show. And if we're on the road my husband and I will look for a Jack Astor's 👍We mostly eat at home as we are older and have to watch the calories 😛 Like that they are listed. Keep up the good work 🤗 🌟

Service was great and food was enjoyable. Tried the Fishbowl drinks and loved them!

Service was prompt and courteous and food was yummy. I had the steak and it was perfectly prepared and my sister had the chicken fingers which are always good.

Note: my sister is in an electric wheelchair and she could not be accommodated inside the restaurant because the lift was not working properly. We sat on the patio which was fine because the weather was nice but my advice would to check with the restaurant beforehand to make sure they can accommodate an electric wheelchair inside.

Very busy Venue, as there was yet another convention at the MTCC..
Our Table wasn't quite ready (Upon arrival) and we opted for The Bar instead....Good choice; as we got excellent Service and the Food order was perfect.

Will definitely be back.

Tuna Mango salad was delicious and service was fast and friendly which was perfect for lunch and having to get back to work on time!

Especially enjoyed the little 'riddles' that our wait staff wrote on each of our bills....quiet unique and fun!

First time at JA's and while the food was okay, the noise level was off the charts. I could barely hear the person next to me. Will be looking for other places for a team lunch.

The music wasn't too loud. We had a barside table and the service was impeccable! So attentive and friendly.

We left after 10 minutes. It was soooo unbelievably loud that we couldn't even carry a conversation.

Always consistent and dependable. Great and imaginative food, service is attentive but not bothersome and lots of energy in the place. One of my favorites in the downtown core and there are plenty of other choices available.

Great food and drinks. The washroom wasn’t accessible due to it being downstairs. Nice and close to the train station and the arena.

What I like most is that we were not rushed out... great place to meet up with friends and spend the afternoon!

Had a great relaxing lunch with a friend. Waitress was able to find a drink we wanted that wasn't on the menu. Bartender was quick to find ingredients and make it perfectly.
Waitress and all the staff made us feel at home. Did not rush us at all. We took our time eating and enjoying the afternoon.

I eat at Jack's a lot for lunch and have not grown tired of their chicken fingers! Side salad is always meh and Jack Astor fries are not worth the calories. Service on this visit was particularly excellent. My co-worker ordered the club sandwich and it is served on a ciabatta bun or similar and he was missing the excellence and simplicity of white toast.

A good place to dine and have a drink, pretty good selection of beers ans wine.

Good food love the chicken fingers and the sesame chicken bowl at Jack's. We were early so not too noisy yet....sometimes hard to converse when the music is loud. All in all...love Jack's.

I took my girlfriend here for a night out, the server was very friendly the food was good my only real issue here were the drinks. We both ordered fish bowls and They were extremely weak, I’m almost certain the drinks were watered down excluding that i enjoyed my experience and would go back strictly for the food.

We ate here on the Thursday evening and the food was that good we went back on the Friday for lunch before we flew back to the UK. Great location, friendly helpful staff and lively atmosphere.

Bad service. Waited 15 mins for sauce for my wings. So I gave up and ate them dry.

Food and drinks were good and host was very accommodating but the server was defiantly rushing us to finish our drinks and leave. Recommended we get the fish bowl drinks then when we had finished eating and had half left to drink she came over every 5 minutes to see if she could take anything else from the table then didn’t offer any dessert just brought the bill and said no rush then 5 minutes later came back and asked if we were sure she couldn’t bring us a machine to pay.

They turned up the music too loud in bar area we couldnt hear each other. Had to move to dining area. A little quieter.

This location used to be very fast, and the food was very good. On the last visit, we found our service slow and the food to be mediocre at best. Will consider other options next time.

Our experience was negatively impacted by a table of 15+ 20-somethings who were VERY loud.
Many looked barely legal drinking age and a few had too much and were yelling instead of talking.
