    They had a DJ and the music was too loud. My eggs were undercooked and my husband’s were overcooked. Service was excellent.

    We arrived 23 minutes early for our Easter brunch reservation and all of the booths were open plus several tables, so being pregnant bc my back hurts I asked if we could have a booth and the hostess said “oh I’m sorry we’re totally booked for the day and those booths are already reserved for larger parties of 6”. Well, when we left 1 hour later at 12:22pm only two of the booths had people sitting in them and one had three people we were a party of three so that part felt a little bit discriminatory and I don’t really understand why we weren’t sat in a Booth… Overall, the food was really good. The chicken tenders and the chicken and waffle could’ve used a little bit of seasoning cause it didn’t taste like any salt was on there, but that was easy to fix.  the only other thing that kind of took some time as we decided to get two slices of their cake to go and I think our waiter forgot about us cause it took about 10 minutes to get the cake even though it’s sitting in the front and the restaurant was not packed -as mentioned there were 4 of the 6 booths open.  I would probably come back here again because you can’t make a reservation, which is great after church on the weekend and you don’t have to wait but if the business owner is reading this, I would talk to the host hostess because it seems like she was discriminating.

Our team works hard to honor all reservation requests, and in this case, our hostess was doing her best to ensure that the booths—many of which had been specifically reserved for larger parties—were available when those guests arrived.     We arrived to have brunch, and we were set in a room by ourselves, where it was freezing cold. We requested to move, and they did accommodate, which was very nice. When our food arrived, the eggs were cold and they got our daughters breakfast tacos wrong.

    My friends and I had lunch. Our server was attentive but never removed dirty dishes from our table. Also we like to chat and stay a while, the restaurant was not busy, and as we were about to leave a manager type lady rudely asked us if she could have all the dirty dishes from our table. We said sure and we said, we were just chatting and catching up because we hadn’t seen Escher in a while, she acted dismissive and unfriendly like we were not welcome anymore. We did not appreciate her attitude and we won’t be back. Food was ok and over priced.

    We were looking forward to trying this new spot, and while the food itself was fine, the experience overall left us disappointed. First, the prices listed on OpenTable are significantly inaccurate—everything on the menu was about 20–25% more expensive in person. That kind of discrepancy feels misleading and sets the wrong tone right away. Our friend arrived early and ordered a cocktail while waiting. She went to pay the tab and she got notified via her credit card provider of a charge of $50 on her phone. (One cocktail). She asked the bartender about it but he then told her her card declined and she would need to pay again ($20 more) Not sure what happened there. We will see if that error $50 charge drops from the the credit card, but it was a red flag. As for the food: some dishes were solid, but we returned a side of corn because it was noticeably sour. The staff took it back without issue, but there was no effort to replace it or remove it from the bill. My wife and her friend ordered what they thought was a basic side of fries—turns out that one side is $16. Each. In the end, the food wasn’t bad, but between the sketchy pricing, the cocktail issue, and the lack of customer care, we won’t be back. There are too many great places in the city that get it right.

    Bar staff were good and our waitress was fine. Looking at other ‘teenage’ staff messing and laughing made it feel a bit more like a Chili’s. One guy working there had his pants half way down exposing his underwear. For these prices, I expect better.
