J Restaurant|Bar is a midtown Hartford gem with the cities largest outdoor patio, offering salads, pizza, pasta, and daily specials, alongside craft beer, wine, and full-service bar.

The changing seasons can't stop us from dining outdoors! Ring in the holiday season in one of our heated, roofless tents; heated gazebos; or in our heated boxcar- you'll feel like you're dining in Paris! Or grab your blanket and sit out by one of our Christmas trees, street lamps, and fire pits. At J, the cold never bothered us anyway!

Would highly recommend but they are closing fo good tomorrow and putting up a parking lot in its place. Very sad hopefully they will open inanew place. Keeping my eyes open that.

We love J’s!! It’s always our “ go. -to” choice for celebrations with family and friends. Jordan and his staff are so welcoming and always go above and beyond 👍 We are definitely sad to hear about their closing next week and hope to see them reopen in another area venue! Thank you for all the great meals and good times through the years! ❤️❤️🙏🏻

Restaurant location is closing, and staff is overtasked (probably slower kitchen and wait staff due to finding next job sooner rather than later). Expensive meal/experience for lacking attention and slow delivery of food and drinks to table.

We were seeing a show at the Bushnell and not familiar with Hartford restaurants took a chance on J Restaurant. It was fantastic! Great food and great service! Definitely recommend.

Really great service. It may sound silly, but I watched one of the staff clear and wipe down an outside table and he actually cleaned it, not just a quick wipe. He got into the open metal pattern to get residue out. You don't often see that attention to detail. This staff is obviously well trained. Our server, Gabby, was engaged and pleasant. Food was delicious. I'm hoping they move to a new location . I'd love to eat here everytime we come into town for a show at the Bushnell.
