I’m visiting your restaurant since many years at Big Beaver Rd. Service, food and quality isn’t so good anymore and in addition you took the pork tenderloin from the menu.

Our waiter was outstanding and so was the food.

Food wasn’t that good.

Very bad vegetarian options. Only laughably a veggie burger and a salad that fits the bill. Yeah. A $10 salad sounds great. Not to mention it comes out before everyone's meal. Where's your entree, someone may ask when everyone elses food arrives? Oh. I already ate it. or I look cheap. What kind of restaurant can't appease extremely petty dietary standards these days, let alone someone with a genuine allergy to meat or dairy? Definitely won't be returning.

Our service was excellent and the food was delicious.

I have dined here a number of times. I lowered one rating only to account for the noise level. And truth be told, this is more indicative of me losing some hearing acuity. I have always found the staff attentive, the food very good, and time waiting for food acceptable.

Alexanders is a fun place for lunch or dinner, wait staff is attentive and professional plus they make every effort to make sure everything is served just right

Grilled salmon was very good, as was swordfish of the day. However, very limited options for 3rd member of our party who is vegetarian (not vegan). Also very limited lower calorie options as well. Everything seemed fattening & sodium laden, but no nutritional menus are available to help make healthier choices. Probably won’t be rushing back anytime soon

Our waiter was simply outstanding! Top-notch service and excellent food. We love J Alexander’s but Our waiter was simply perfect!! Thank you For making a special occasion even that much more special! It’s greatly appreciated!

I am compelled to give my experience a poor score. My wife and I dined there. I advised I have and allergy to all bell peppers. I ordered the sword foolish which came with a yellow pepper brown butter sauce. Our waiter was very conscientious about my order. There would be no peppers. My wife got her meal. Salmon fish sandwich and mine came a few minutes later. Of course full of peppers.

A few minutes later I flagged down a server and they took it back. Of course my wife finished here meal by the time I received mine. The fish was great but the experience was they blew it.

Went for my girlfriends Birthday and they were great. Left a card on the table and all the servers signed it. They also gave her a complimentary dessert. Very nice❤️

My wife and I come to this place on a regular basis. This is the third time I’ve had an issue when coming to this restaurant in the past two years. The past two times issues were resolved because I spoke to a manager. This time I did not because I decided to let it go. The first issue was we were seated at 3:55 PM and did not have anyone come over to take our drink order until 4:15 PM the place was not jampacked so I don’t understand the delay in having a server come to take our drink order. When the server did come she did not even apologize for the wait. Not a good way to start out. The food was fine as usual. My wife had the steak Maui and I had a New York strip. We started off with a calamari appetizer and we each had a Caesar salad. The second issue I had was again with the server, whose name was piper. She asked if I wanted another iced tea and I said yes. 10 minutes went by and then she reappeared to fill my water glass but with no ice tea. I asked her again if I could get a refill on my ice tea and she replied with oh yes that’s right that’s on me. I forgot. Well who else would it be on! You’re the only one serving me at my table and it’s not self-serve for your drinks like at Golden corral. Again she did not seem too concerned about it which led me to only leave her a 10% tip when I usually leave at least 20% or more for good service. The third issue was with the reservation I made through OpenTable. I received an email saying that I did not show up for my reservation so I would not get credit or points for this visit. When I checked in at the hostess podium she clearly saw my reservation but yet the card on my table said walk-in, not reservation. I had to go through three emails with OpenTable to get this issue resolved because of the lack of the hostess taking care of that properly. Not very happy with this visit at all. Looking back I probably should have called and spoken to the manager or the following day. Service is slipping at this place.

The hosts were good, the server started out terrible and inattentive, but tried to clean his act up later. The food was good, I probably won’t come back to this location though. I like the Livonia store much better.

Took my wife for our 3rd year anniversary. We both had a lovely time. Ambiance , the drinks and the dinner was five stars.

We always come to this restaurant. I always get the Tai Kia salad. The last couple of times it seems like ingredients has sat for s long time. It sure hasn’t looked or tasted as fresh. .

This is our favorite restaurant. But this time the food was just mediocre.

Overall it was a pleasant dinning experience was a little disappointed that we had a someone long wait considering that we had an reservation. We will be returning for another evening out on the town.

Restaurant was very busy, very noisy and my steak was overdone after I specified somewhere between medium rare and medium. Steak was well done. I chose not to send it back since the kitchen was so busy and my date received her dinner.

Everything was great, except it was freezing cold in there. It was uncomfortable. Our food was taking longer than expected but our waitress I believe her name was Tanya. She was very nice and accommodating!

Birthday lunch. Crab cakes were amazing. All crab, very little filler. Drinks also very good. A must visit at Somerset Mall.

Service was excellent. Food was awesome. Too loud to talk comfortably but worth it!

We've been eating here since 1996. Over the years the prices have gone up but the prime rib is still the best in town. There have been a few instances where things weren't right - overcooked prime rib instead of medium rare - but they always make it right and sometimes toss in a desert for our troubles. Not the cheapest prime rib, but certainly the best!

Go there - you won't be disappointed.

Tonight I had to ask 4 different people for salad dressing. They finally brought it, but with my soup 10-15 minutes later.

Everything was great. Always enjoy my favorite salad .

It was super busy but the manager made it a point to go to each table making sure everyone was having a good experience

Let me first say I am not one to write reviews, but the service I received was unacceptable. I have been to this location as well as others and have had a generally positive experience. This evening was a birthday celebration of which was related to our server prior to my arrival. My husband and I both order filets money medium rare and my husband's medium well (and a plain potato). My husband's plate had a loaded baked potato and an obviously medium rare filet. My plate had two small pieces of filet cut separately . I asked her why I had two smaller pieces instead of normal filet. "No that is correct, you got two because they were small pieces " It was obviously my husband's that had not just been butterflied but completely cut in half but she said no. The plates were sent back and a manager came over. Did nothing to make it right other than re heat/re plate. Meanwhile we sat as the rest of our party ate. Our server never came back to fill my water or follow up on our steaks.
Completely unacceptable that the Manager did not correct and left both steaks on my bill and also the poor service from our server who probably received no training .
There are too many other steakhouses in the area Eddie V's ,Prime , Capital Grill and Mortons that provide much better quality of food ,experienced staff as well as Managers and service.

Really enjoy Alexander's ...when hitting it at the wrong time, the noise level is really loud and hard to communicate with your party....also it was really cold there...however, after saying all of that, it still is a great place for lunch

It was obvious the waiter was new and he botched the order and did not know or find out if they do anything special for birthdays. We had some one new with us and I didn’t want to cause a scene but it ruined the entire dinner. We sat down at the table and there was water all over the table I asked for something to wipe it up and had to ask twice he brought us napkins and dropped them in the table. I had to wipe it myself and then he never took them away. He served us our appetizer of calamari and we never had silverware after asking multiple times. The. Our dinner came still no silverware and the wet napkins were still on our table. Carrot cake used to be given for birthdays but he said no and never went to check. I never got my potatoe and had to ask multiple times for a container for to go food. The food was good but I never got my full meal
