   Excellent food, good service but as is the nature of izakaya expect dishes to arrive separately and over the course of your meal, not all at once.

   I don’t know. I had high expectations but I was so disappointed with this experience overall. The staff appeared to not enjoy their job. I don’t blame them. I think for me, the patrons was the worst and affected everything else. There was a family with 2 sick kids sitting near the sushi bar. They were just hacking not covering their mouths and the parents did nothing. Other tables were just loud and unenjoyable. When I was in the food service industry, I’d give the parents a WTF look and say please have your kids cover their mouths. They’d be so embarrassed they’d finally act like parents. So I felt that their germs were all over the restaurant that we only ate half our food and took it home but we ended up throwing it away. What a waste. The food was okay, nothing wowed me in fact, I wish we didn’t get the chefs choice. We wished 4 of the nigiri wasn’t included.

   Food and service are consistently great. Authentic, cozy Izakaya. We go there often and always have the crab/avo salad, butteryaki scallops, korroke, ume ochazuke and kakuni. Other favorites are karei karaage, assorted tempura and geso karaage. Everything is fresh, nicely portioned, and seasoned perfectly.

   Very good Japanese food. Many dishes were unique for for Japanese restaurants.

   Can’t go wrong with their prix fixe menu, always great. Hamachi kama is also delicious. Love their Asahi yuzu beer.

   This restaurant has an excellent and big menu to satisfy anyone's izakaya hunger. There are a number of people involved at serving you and it was good except for our primary table attendant. She failed to let me know that they were out of edamame after we ordered and when we asked for her to check on its status, she forgot to report back they were out. She seemed to be in her own world. She even forgot to take the edamame off of our bill. Food was good to outstanding.

   Good food and service. Loved the whole fried fish. Gyoza was awesome. We will be back for sure for the sushi!

   Quality food and great service at reasonable prices. Izakaya Nonbei is a true neighborhood gem. They could easily charge 50% given the quality of their food.

   This is one of my favorite places to eat. The food is consistently amazing and the staff are all super friendly and on it. Its our go to for date nights, special occasions and out of town guests are always impressed.

    Thoroughly enjoyable experience! It had been a couple years since my last visit and I wanted to bring colleagues from the mainland to experience a personal favorite place to dine. The food did not disappoint and the attentiveness and service was much more engaging and pleasant than my previous visits which was greatly appreciated. We’ll be back!
