The ambience is great as was our wine. The food was poor apart from the steak. Our server was training someone in while serving us so it was like being used as an experiment
My husbands birthday dinner. Tuna ceviche was one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. They were out of short ribs which was odd cause our reservation was at 8 so not that late. Waitress suggested ribs instead but made a big deal over substiting mash potatoes for the side that came with it. Ribs and mashed potatoes were amazing. I had the shrimp and grits and sauce was delicious but I would have preferred regular grits to the Stone ground.. they took away from the dish. Would have liked dessert but service was slow especially the bartender with drinks and it wasn’t crowded.
Overall a nice restaurant. However, one has to ask for bread for the table, don’t expect it to be offered. The shrimp and grits were totally devoid of any southern savory flavors. Hopefully they may have other more tasteful dishes.
When we first arrived we were a little earlier but the restaurant was not that busy. The hostess did sit us but at this terrible table by the entrance and it was a tiny high top. We were moved but she seemed not that happy about it. Our waiter was kind but took along time to order. When we got our dinners we asked for bread and that never came. He said he would bring it after he cleared our plates. No need to go back. We come to Orlando every year and thought it would be nice to try a new spot. But will not back.
The menu lacked flare, the food was good but presentation was eh. The price was lower than surrounding restaurants but I would have rather paid more for better food, greater creativity and flare. I chose the restaurant because it seemed to have new orleans type food; but that was weak in presence The bread pudding was not very good.
The food was great and so were the drinks. I lived the music. It was lively and upbeat. I felt that my waiter wasnt the best. He did take a.while to c ok me over and introduce himself, he would walk by several time and not how we were doing if we needed anything.
Way too loud. Pianist needs more practice. Food ok. Really good cocktails.
Bad experience, bad food and bad service
We were in town for a conference across the street at The Rosen. I was happy to be able to make a reservation since there were 5 of us.
There is a live band and the sax player walks around the restaurant as he plays. It was so enjoyable.
We got a variety of foods and every enjoyed their meals - f pasta, a burger, fish, and lamb. The side of asparagus is also really good. The portions were a good size and everything. Was served hot!
They were really busy on a Saturday night and our server was pretty good.
Good food and service. She crab soup didn’t have as much crab meat in it as I would have liked. Piano music was fantastic touch.
Service was great but food and drinks were average at best. The cocktails were incredibly watered down. The food was mostly bland but tolerable. Value for the food wasn't where I felt appropriate. Four stalks of asparagus that was drizzled in olive oil and heated for $6 was too much for me.
Christmas Day dinner special was amazingly! The New York strip melted like butter in my mouth. Our server was beyond accommodating and patient!!
There's a piano player who was excellent. Our service was fantastic. Our waitress was Titianna and she was amazing and very personable. I ordered the vegan Jambalaya. It was a bit of the salty side so just tell them less salt if you order it. The smoked old fashion is a must to try and I loved the 407 mule, Very refreshing.
We had a great time for our anniversary. Our Bartender Ashleys was awesome and makes probably the best Old fashioned in Orlando . Will be coming back for sure!
Love this restaurant. Service and food was outstanding. I would recommend the fillet steak, with the cajan butter, crap soup, or crap cakes. Everything we tried was delicious. The pianist played a little bit of everything and was very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Great Food, but very nosey!
The food was ok but for the price should be better. However, the service and ambiance is great. I ate the rotisserie chicken which was ok but my husband didn't like his salmon.
I thought the food was excellent. The waitress was great and very attentive. Loved the atmosphere. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the Filet. Could have had more flavor. But Filets are known to not have much. Need to spice it up.
Service was impeccable and the live piano music was amazing! There was an issue with my meal and the staff was very quick to resolve it and ensure I was taken care of.
Live music was too loud we could not talk easily. We met friends for last night before we flew out of Orlando but the saxophone was far to loud.
The menu is interesting, something for everyone. I had dinner with 2 colleagues we ordered soup and salad. After a reasonable amount of time our salads appeared. I asked that the soup be served first. The waiter gladly returned the salads and served our soup which was very tasty yet lukewarm. The soup was She Crab. Then another person immediately brought our salads. Not a huge deal but would prefer to have had the soup and then serve the salad.
My husband and I loved our date night. We will visit again.. it was just perfect.
I enjoyed celebrating my birthday at Itta Bena! The food and music were great. We had an awesome time!
This place was a really good. Service was awesome. I read a review that was totally off the mark about the service. The only problem I had was I over stuffed myself and had an uncomfortable ride home lol. Oh and they serve Coke a Cola!!!!!
Atmosphere was great with live music (piano and saxophone player). Good was good. Petite filet. Drinks were solid. Strong.
Our waiter never came over to our table when we sat down. We waited 15 minutes then I had to go get the hostess to tell them that then finally someone came over. My wife and I ordered the crab cakes for an appetizer they were good. We both had the shrimp scampi Pasta. It was not scampi it was an Alfredo with no taste at all. Our friends upgraded their steaks to include a lobster tail. When their entree came it was only half a lobster tail which is ridiculous for a 14 dollar upgrade. I don’t know this place has gotten such good reviews super disappointed . I would not go back or recommend to anyone.
Service was really god, attentive, quick response. I Food was delicious, we had the filet and shrimp scampi dishes. The shrimp were huge, and had a great flavor.
If you like bread pudding...OMG you must get it. It was soooooo good.
I'm going back just for desert soon💖
We went for magical dining month to try someplace new and it did not disappoint.
Oh yeah, their complimentary bread was just ok, it was rolls you see at Sams from the freezer section. They were hot and fresh but i like hot Italian bread or something similar with butter or vinegar and oil.
The server got our order wrong. I found it odd that he discouraged me from trying the dessert I ordered and instead suggested I keep the incorrect dessert he brought out. He said “The berry cobbler is nothing but warm jam.” It took a while to get our food despite being the 3 table in the facility after it opened. As I looked around, I noticed several wall sconces and chandelier bulbs out. The piano player was great though! I think the restaurant has the potential of being amazing but it wasn’t properly executed the night we attended.
Noise level is actually LOUD. Awesome, amazing, talented musicians but it is loud. You cannot hear a conversation. Food is exceptional as was service.
I enjoyed the ambiance of Itta Bena. Hearing the live jazz being played as you walk in the door was a very nice touch. Once inside the atmosphere was very calm and casual for either a girls night out or a date night with your significant other. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant .
Hector took great care of us, our 3 course meal was amazing, and the bartender made an outstanding dirty martini, we ate outside and it was just perfect for a quiet evening
It was awesome...loved everything we ordered! Salmon, shrimp pasta, bread pudding, and cobbler were the best! Will definitely be going back again!
My shrimp scampi, my friends salmon, and steak were all great
The appetizers and entrees were excellent. The desserts, however, not so much. The wait staff seemed extremely short staffed and the food was very slow to come out. Our server also appeared quite green; however, was very nice. Overall, I would plan to give Itta Bena one more shot since this was my first time there. But it might be a little while so they have a chance for improvement first. BTW, the decor and ambience were great.
Great place and food
We did not feel was worth the Magical dining. Other restaurants serve uch better items. Shrimp scampi a big disappointment. No flavor. 4 shrimp. Just mostly pasta with no garlic flavor.Filet cooked fine but tiny compared to other Magical restaurant portions. Crab cake appetizers good but so tiny.
Visited for Magical Dining on a weeknight when Pointe Orlando is pretty empty. We were one of the few parties in the restaurant. I'm a seafood lover -- great mini crab cakes with mango salsa and little sign of bread crumbs. Lots of shrimp in the pasta and a great sauce. The "stacked" frosted layer brownie with strawberries and chocolate chips was delish too. My dining companion's filet was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. He also enjoyed his bisque and warm berry cobbler.
The options for Magical Dining weren’t great, we ordered from the regular menu. The food was very bland.
Went for magical dining to try it out and was pleasantly surprised! Great atmosphere and service was exceptional including the drinks , never have I seen a copper tall margarita style glass-so cute! Our waits were minimal for ordered items and crab soup, filet and potatoes and veggies were cooked perfectly as tasted amazing!! would have given five stars but the desserts were less than fair.. got the mixed berry dessert and the brownie cheesecake and it looked delicious just really had no flavor to the brownie or the cheesecake part although the presentation was great it just didn’t deliver on taste! I would go again for the piano singer and drinks and food!!
The food was good but phenomenal but the music was by far the best piano bar experience in Orlando. Loved it!
