Food was good but wish the shrimp scampi can taste better with some veggies such as tomato and asparagus . Service was great.

Delicious and authentic Italian food—lovely appetizers and wonderful risottos, among other things. The staff is very friendly and the owner is delightful. This is a special place, not to be missed.

My wife and I are Vespaio aficianados and have eaten there more than any other Austin restaurant. Last night, we decided to try something different and are extremely glad we did. The food at Vespaio may be slightly better than IT's Italian, but only slightly. We had two of IT's risotto dishes and they were both outstanding. The dining room was light and airy and noise level was perfect--so many other Austin restaurants are so noisy, it's difficult to have a conversation. Service was very good and the server was knowledgeable about the menu items. Wine by the glass pours were generous and the cost of the meal and wine was reasonable. We won't be turning out backs on Vespaio, but, we've found another excellent Italian restaurant near downtown Austin and we'll be back soon to try other menu items,

Our server Morgan was kind attentive and poised during our celebratory meal. As always the food was amazing. We loved the carpaccio, meatballs, bruschetta and cocktails while our wine decanted. Dinner was fresh made pasta and veal picatta. Al and all the staff make you quite welcome and it was a great evening. We even brought the dog to sit with us as they love the pups there. Can never say enough great things about its Italian Cucina.
