It's All Greek To Me
Our seasonal menu uses only the best ingredients (including organic and gluten-free) and flavours that tell the story of our history and influences over the ages.
Food and wine have been central to our culture since the beginning of Greek civilisation. Ambrosia - the food of the gods - was said to give immortality and Dionysus, the ancient god of wine, played a central role in society.
While we can’t promise everlasting life, we’re proud to continue in the traditions of our ancestors, placing the quality of our food and wine centre stage.
So treat yourself to a tasty snack in our laid-back souvlaki bar or enjoy a leisurely evening in our boutique restaurant downstairs. With imported specialities, a deli counter of artisan produce and a selection of unique wines, it really is all Greek and the
A baffling visit. A sweltering day in London. We arrived to hardly any greeting. The small space was hot and stuffy, and looked no more than a caff. I asked: "Um.....is this it?"
[There's clearly space downstairs, as I see from photos online - but this wasn't offered.]
We decided not to stay in the airless space, and said to the waiter: "It's just far too hot here, sorry." No response.
Thankfully, we found a place up the road - cool, but with a warm welcome, and fabulous Persian music playing. The food was great; they gave us jug upon jug of water with lemon and mint, and even [though an alcohol-free business] were happy for us to grab some wine from the offie on the corner and bring it in - no corkage.
Proof that 'customer service' makes all the difference, maybe ?
Not what we expected but food fabulous staff friendly and good value.
Super friendly staff!
Will definitely be back!
Food was fast in coming and plentiful (almost too much!) olive bread on the house was a highlight. Let down slightly by cramped table in a corner.
The restaurant appears to be a simple takeaway from the street level. There is a small dining area downstairs but its basic and not particularly nice. Once we were seated, we were told that the kitchen was closed and over half the menu was unavailable. They didn't suggest something had broken and we suspected, given was a Saturday night, that they dont actually do the other food and rely on the grill and cold mezes. This may be cynical but check before going that the full menu will be available.
Complete mess up with food and waiter didn't seem to know what to do. We had to call him over eventually to take our order. He completely ignored the young couple next to us and had to be called over to them too to take their order. When our order arrived the salad had been forgotten so we had to ask where it was. After another 20 minutes when the couples starter hadn't arrived they had to chase for it. Then when their main course arrived, only one meal was delivered to them. The other still hadn't arrived after 5 minutes and again the waiter had to be asked for it (no apology). It took 20 minutes to arrive (with no apology) by which time a) the young man had pretty much eaten his and b) I had given my salad to her because I was so embarrassed that she was having to just sit there. I complained on paying and the reaction was just a bit of a shrug. My impression was that they were so busy coping with takeaway orders that the diners were less important.
Nice greek place. Looks can be deceiving as it looks like a small cafe from outside. But they have lower ground floor seating.
Nice and friendly place. The food is good and the price too!
Lovely food - simple ambiance.
Good basic food. But slow service. And no rice or veggies
How lovely to find authentic Greek food that is so reasonably priced.
It was just like being in Athens for the afternoon.
Service was very slow but food was nice. Took a long time to be served after being seated
Ok, the food is good! The woman who waited on us was friendly. The rest of the staff seemed scary. They all just stare at you and look mad all the time.
What really makes me give this restaurant a fair rating is the non-stop food delivery people wearing helmets who flow in and out! They are very rude, very pushy and the restaurant pays more attention to them than the paying customers who are sitting there.
Do yourself a favor if you dine here, eat downstairs. We made the mistake of dining upstairs.
The service was a bit slow even though the restaurant was empty when we got there. The food was fine but nothing special
I went along to this place for first time with 3 friends and at first it looked like a cafe until they led us downstairs to restaurant where we were pleasantly surprised. Overall the food an service was excellent
Absolutely amazing Greek food for the price. Will go again for sure!
It was our first visit and we were all completely stunned by the food, the lovely staff and the prices! We will definitely come back!!
Fantastic food and service. Have been here a few times now and it's been amazing! It's a great find!
Bon et rapide
