Italica is a unique, intimate hidden bar/restaurant with outstanding Italian cuisine. Our dishes are served tapas style and are meant to be combined and shared with others in your party. We have several dishes on and off our menu that are vegetarian and vegan friendly. Enter through the silver door on Miles Avenue to the right of Indio Taphouse.

Due to our limited capacity, reservations are required for dinner service. We welcome walk-ins at the bar, based on availability, and encourage late-night walk-ins to join us when possible.

To ensure that all our guests can savor our exquisite offerings, WE ALLOCATE A 90-MINUTE DINING TIME FOR PARTIES UP TO SIX PEOPLE.

Please note that Italica is an adults-only establishment. We kindly ask that our guests be above the age of 18 and are dressed appropriately.

It is a very noisy restaurant but pleasantly so. I just had the best pasta dish…mussels puttanesca. I ate the whole thing. It was fabulous. Love this restaurant. And the wait staff was top of their game last night as well. Very creative cocktails also. Hard to get a reservation even in summer, but definitely worth it!

Food was o.k. Nothing special. Everything extra, including bread which was not very good. Limited menu with specialized choices. (Boar in the Bolognese and Pig jowels in the lemon ricotta pasta. Very close and dark inside. Restroom experience very odd as it is co-ed!! We were surprised to find the "special" birthday dessert for our guest was not a "gift" from the restaurant, we had no idea it was $14. We had no problem paying, but it was presented as a treat from the restaurant. The steak was very good, the vegetable (zucchini) no flavor. The pasta needs to be creamier and more flavorful. "Flambe" of the vodka penne pasta was kind of a dud. We still have not figured out purpose of that. Our server did his best to attend to the table, but he was handling half the room and no orders were written down. If he was interrupted on his way back to kitchen, he would forget what you requested. All in all, it was an interesting experience but we would probably not return.

My husband and I had a great experience. The hostess was very accommodating and the service was excellent. The waitress was professional and friendly. I wish I had her name but we failed to ask. She was very familiar with the menu and the wines. The tables are tight but the clientele is sophisticated enough to make it comfortable

As always, a great dining experience! From atmosphere to food we enjoy it all. We do miss the puttanesca being on the menu.

Wow!! This place nails it!! There is beautiful attention to detail, and each dish has a great marriage and balance of flavors. This is a MUST and a great place if you want to have not just your meal be amazing, but your entire evening be super special.

This was our first time to Italica. We loved the whole experience. We loved our server Shannon. Friendly, funny, and helpful in picking our forces. The filet and fish we had for our main course did not disappoint but the winner of the night was the Fried artichoke appetizer. We finished the night having the tiramisu baked by no other than Shannon our server. We will definitely be back!!

Our first time there. The front door can be difficult to find but it’s right next door to the Taphouse. Look for the mat by the big rustic door. It says Italica.

Have eaten here several times and never disappointed. The Carpaccio was excellent as was the artichoke which I do not typically like. Cocktails were great and main course of ravioli terrific. Fellow diners had penne with vodka, carbonara and seafood pasta. All excellent. Small venue so as more customers come in the noisier it gets. A very good meal in downtown Indio.

Wonderful ambiance-similar to a speakeasy. Great food. The fried artichoke was amazing. Excellent service. Overall great experience and we would not hesitate to recommend Italica.

This was my 6th time at Italica. We sat at the bar and had an amazing experience with Amanda leading the service for us from start to finish. Ordered the Caesar salad, bolognese and large shrimp w/risotto to share. The blood red orange margitini was delicious and amazing frothy espresso martini. There definitely seems to be additional experienced staff added and service levels are higher since they opened. So happy it's running smoothly. Great atmosphere and good food!
