Isola Little Italy
I have vivid memories of my grandmother turning plain bread into amazing desserts, simple apples into incredible fritters sprinkled with a little sugar and honey, and even treating my sunburns with olive oil. Thirty years later, I still savor every meal and moment.
Isola is proud to serve the finest local ingredients, dalla vite, from the vine. I hope you enjoy every bite, plucked from my family tree for your table. Buon appetito!
Prosciutto e Melone
prosciutto di parma, tuscan melon
Pasta of the Day
please ask your server for our pasta of the day
baby mixed green salad, balsamic
The food was excellent both the pizza and the appetizer. The staff was very courteous and attentive.
We sat outside which was nice. The wine was delicious. Did not try any desserts but I am sure they would have been amazing. We are already planning out next trip back.
The food tasted really good! I like the outdoor seating areas, there is a good distance for safety with COVID procedures. The server was nice and helpful.
This is a nice little place right on India street but out of the chaotic central zone. For COVID they have extra tables outside, which is nice. Inside looked nice too but we chose to dine outdoors. The pizza was excellent and so was the Brussel sprouts appetizer. Both were cooked in their wood fired oven.
Isolas food is always amazing. Their crust is insanely good and the service is great.
Wonderful server. Excellent pasta and bruschetta. Pizza nice, outside seating on slanted sidewalk made it challenging to keep utensils on the table.
Outstanding Italian-style pizza from their wood burning oven. The pasta was good too - you'd better like al dente. Dessert menu looked good, but we were already stuffed. Enjoyed our service too while we sat at a table on the sidewalk. Whole street is closed off.
Our waiter was great - he had the right balance between funny, friendly, helpful and efficient. The appetizer (burrata with artichokes, prosciutto etc was incredibly delicious. The pizza menu is creative and interesting - hard to choose! The rest of the food was solidly good, pretty and cooked well.
This is fall 2020, so we ate outside in the street, which is not ideal, but we all get it. It is fun to watch people go by and so it just made it one of the nicer memories of this stupid year.
It is also a good value, prices were very fair for the the food received. Pinot Grigio at $10 per glass was also nice. I would both go back and recommend.
The food was ok the service excellent maybe I should of try something else
Love this place! Food is always great! Service was great as well!
Our waitstress was awesome!! Very attentive and even remembered that I mentioned it was my boyfriend's birthday in the comment section when I made the reservation :) The pizza was soooo good 😋
I am not sure what happened, but my husband and I went there on Saturday night at 5:10. We had a reservation. They sat us right away which was great, but then ignored us for the next 40 minutes. We never had anyone come take our drink order or food order. We just sat there while everyone around us was getting their food. We mentioned it to the woman filling our water and asked her to get our server, but still they never came. We just walked out and went to a different restaurant down the street. If I had a piece of advice, even if you are busy, please acknowledge that you will be there in a moment or that you at least see me. It felt really strange and honestly I didn't want to give my money where I am not a valued customer.
Great service and yummy pizza! Tables if possible can be moved from busy walkway.
I realize with COVID that outdoor dining is the only option, but our table was on the sidewalk, so we had to deal with constant pedestrian traffic right next to our table. It made it extremely difficult to relax and enjoy the food.
The food and service were very good. But the ambience is so poor. I don’t think I could dine there again until it’s back indoors.
The food is always wonderful and the service equally good. Staff have always been accommodating and absolutely on top of it. We love their n pizza crust - the best!!
We had a great first time here! The food was delicious and service was on point. Thank you Rebecca, for being our awesome server and making this a great dining experience. We had prosciutto with mushrooms pizza!
One of the top three best wood fire pizzas I’ve ever had. Right up there with Atillios in Naples and Pizzana in Brentwood/Hollywood. Definitely recommend Isola to anyone coming to SD little Italy.
Service was exceptional. Thank you Stefano!
Our waitress was super friendly and helpful! The Margherita DOP pizza was amazing and I would definitely come back again!
The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They food was great!! Will definitely be back and I’m sure post-covid sitting inside will be even better.
Very good service and great food. Love coming here.
The pizza was outstanding, especially the sauce. Our waiter, Stefano, was wonderful! What a warm, kind, great guy. We had an awesome experience!
We always enjoy ourselves at Isola. The food is excellent; so many Italian restaurants to choose from in Little Italy but i think this is one of the best. The pizzas are so good! It's casual which is nice and a short walk from our condo. Stefano is my favorite waiter because he's always courteous and attentive and has great recommendations.
Pasta was delicious and full flavored.
Enjoyed an evening dining al freco! Food was delish and service was great. A great way to safely enjoy an evening out during these crazy times.
Excellent in every regard.
Back patio lacks ambiance plus we were right next to the dumpster so this area needs attention. But we did request an outdoor table and that was all that was available at the time so it was partly on us.
Stefano was an excellent waiter and the food was terrific. We will be back and I highly recommend this restaurant.
Fantastic dining experience.
We love this place for the wine and the simple ingredients. I would highly recommend the pizza and the octopus, but literally you can’t go wrong. The pizza reminds me of Italy. It’s a perfect date night.
Realize they're just opening back up, but always disappointing to make an outdoor reservation more than a week in advance, then get seated inside with no mention as to why our table was bumped.
Amazing place—always consistent. A bit bummed happy hour changed to 3-5,as it was not communicated on the website, but even with the additional cost, it was worth it!
Our waitress was great and the food as well! The Brie and asparagus pizza was really good
Excellent crust with flavorful toppings. We ordered the margherita and the salsiccia, both were great. Worth going to.
Attentive service. Trendy place. Clean. Ecclectic pulse. Pizzas were the rage there. The burrata appetizer was amazingly lush, creamy and light. The fresh basil tasted hand picked minutes ago. Everyone was happy!
Unfortunately no room to eat dessert as we were so full!
We went for Happy Hour and were very impressed with the prices for drinks and food!
Very noisy, small dining area even with patio seating. Not quite a romantic destination but fun energy and enjoyed the people watching. The pizzas were great and well priced/sized to share accompanied with a salad or starter like we did. Despite being super busy the service was sufficient and attentive despite an initial lackluster welcome by a hostess who did not greet us or present any kind of welcome. Overall a reasonably priced and quality experience in Little Italy.
Service was a bit slow and then scattered. Had to ask for new water carafes. Felt a bit rushed out.
Great place for date night pizza was fire.
Slow service, rude from when we got there. The noise level was rather high. Wouldn’t recommend.
