Isola Little Italy
I have vivid memories of my grandmother turning plain bread into amazing desserts, simple apples into incredible fritters sprinkled with a little sugar and honey, and even treating my sunburns with olive oil. Thirty years later, I still savor every meal and moment.
Isola is proud to serve the finest local ingredients, dalla vite, from the vine. I hope you enjoy every bite, plucked from my family tree for your table. Buon appetito!

Server not too polite … food was good
Food was delish. Loved the brussel sprouts. Panna cotta was amazing. We will be back.
Loved everything! Apps and pizza!!
The food was absolutely delicious, the pizza was out of this world along with all their appetizers. Highly recommend.
Cute little spot in Little Italy! I’m so happy I found Isola Pizza Bar while browsing on Open Table. The service was great and the food was delicious — outdoor dining was a nice touch :)
Food was incredible! Hands down the best wood fired pizza we have ever had - so good we went back a second time during our 5 day trip. Service was excellent as well! highly recommend!
Our server was outstanding. I can't remember her name, but she was on top of it. She suggested a few items, and even checked for the perfect bottle of wine for us. I would say for the price, the food was pretty plain - I definitely expected it to be way better than it was. I also wouldn't trust the rating of this place, as "exceptional" because it wasn't. The bathrooms are really really gross. You can barely find them because of the mural on the wall, and when you walk in, it's dark... Like, night light in the middle of the night dark. I had to turn my phone's flashlight on just to see. When I did, the bathrooms were janky, not clean, and just really gross, but maybe that's why they have the lights so dim.
Anyway, would not recommend, and will not be coming back. If you're looking for quality food at the same price, head down to Sorrento a little further down on India.
Excellent pizza and appetizers
Best Happy Hour in SD!
We loved it! Everything was excellent! Thank you 🙏🏻
The pizza was the best I’ve ever tasted. The crust was so light and fluffy and didn’t stuff you leaving you feeling satisfied and happy 😊
We were sat and left at the table for 25 minutes before a drink order was taken. The table was on the sidewalk and was so slanted that the drinks were sliding off and the waiter spilled water everywhere. The food is average at best and we couldn’t wait to leave after we paid our overpriced check :-/
absolutely the most disappointing dinner of my last year . the food was tasteless , the pizza undercooked and doughy but burnt on edges , the mozzarella cheese hard and dry , the tomatoes not ripe , the carpaccio was dry and did not have hardly any olive oil on it .
I just dont know what happened . This restaurant has mostly 5 star reviews which is why we chose it .
I would not go back and would not recommend it to anyone .
Started from the bar while waiting to be seated and Alexis (I think her name) was super friendly and attentive. She’d came
Up a couple of times to check up on us. Our server delivered good customer service as well and the steak was amazing! Will definitely come back there.
Honestly, the food was awful. Take my advice, order pizza. Everything else was great.
My husband and I were on a date and were seated next to a table full of children. I do believe I noted on our reservation it was a date. Not a big deal but it would've been nice to be put in a quieter spot to enjoy our meal. Food and our server were fantastic.
Having a reservation was a life-saver! I loved the food and the staff was helpful.
Super super yummy pizza. Not only was the pizza good but the service was great. Our waitress was very acknowledgeable and friendly.
Had such a nice time! Food was great and staff was super friendly!
Pizza and gnocchi were very good! Service was fantastic. Would recommend for family or dates.
Felt like we were in a Cafe in Rome. Great Salumi board, fantastic Margherita, DOP and lovely service. Nice outdoor dining with heaters and attentive service. Already planning the return visit.
My first time there and I'll be going back! The food and service were both excellent!
My daughter’s 12th birthday, this is her favorite restaurant for pizza. :)
Service was very slow, substitutions were made to food without informing us prior to serving. Pizza was good with the exception that they made one of them wrong twice. At this point we were just ready to go. I would not go back
Arrived on a busy Saturday night with a reservation and was seated right away. Great food and great service. They have a wonderful outdoor setup for diners during COVID. The pizza was AMAZING!!!
Food was delicious. I love the pizzas there. Had a the penne with meat ragu this time and couldn’t stop eating. Salad was perfect and the appetizer was ok (shrimp with polenta). I had no room for desert but from previous experience in this place it’s one of the best Italian deserts in SD.
Service was a little slow. But the food was delicious.
Even though the food was pretty good, the service was so bad and inattentive, I can’t give the restaurant more stars. Over an hour for entrees. I would say that it was because of Valentines weekend—we went on Friday—but server was very attentive on other tables. We were dressed nicely we travel and eat all over the world, so it’s not as if we were being obnoxious or inappropriate. Server never came to recognize that service was slow——maybe kitchen was backed up. Just didn’t care. In Covid times I really try to give restaurants and servers benefit of the doubt, but this was inexcusable.
Hands down the best pizza in town 😋
I do walking tours for Let’s Go Vino and they always take exceptional care of my group. I love their service, wines and also the pizza and bruschetta!
Best pizza in little Italy in fact save yourself a trip to Italy to enjoy their pizza and just eat here. It's awesome!
Best pizza in little Italy!
Great food and service. Fun people watching outdoors.
We requested a heater, but only table avail did not have one. As soon as possible our waiter obliged us, moving one close. The food service following, was just as good....and the pizza was incredible! I am a 'crust snob' and this wood fired pie did not disappoint! The wine list had nice mix of reasonable and higher end selects, by the glass (Sangiovese @ $9 was xlnt). Will be back!
Food was amazing! I can’t wait to go back 😊 All severs were very pleasant!
The food was overpriced and nothing special. $100 for two. We had the Quattro carni pizza and pasta ragu. The pizza was watery on the inside and the crust was burnt black. The pasta sauce tasted like, you guested it, a jar of Ragu sauce from the grocery store. Outside seating is uncomfortable.
Wait staff was outstanding. Food was excellent. Polipo appetizer and fachhocia bread was wonderful. I lived in Naples Italy for 5 years so I am a tough judge on pizza. Pizza was 8/10 compared to Napoli but is better than any pizza I had in Italy outside of the Naples area. Good job. Thanks, and see you again.
Lovely service by Stefano. Terrific food as always.
There are so many great places to eat in Little Italy, but this isn’t one of them. We selected this place because it had decent reviews and we were able to get a reservation. The service was pretty non-existent. The wine was good. We ordered a bottle of cab for our anniversary. Shrimp appetizer was fine. Pizzas were mediocre. The dessert was excellent. If you want wine and dessert and that’s all, plan to be ignored if you come here. Better yet, go somewhere else.
We were forgotten about and waited 15 min before I went back to the hostess and said no one had taken our drink order yet. They were very apologetic and comp’d a dessert. The food was delicious!
