We dined at Island Prime for our anniversary and had a party of eight. The views of the ocean could be seen from most anywhere in the restaurant. Our server Andrew was On It from start to finish making our dining experience perfect. We ordered a variety of selections off the extensive menu…various steaks and fish dinners along with many sides.For the most part, the food was good not great because there was way too much seasoning on many of the items.

Filet mignon was way overdone for medium well. The mashed potatoes were ok. The asparagus was quite good. The caprese salad did not have salted tomatoes so they didn't bring out the tomato flavor enough.

Went as a couple for an occasion. Wait wasn't long (reservation) and we got a Window seat. I had reviewed the menu beforehand and was excited to try a few things. The crabcakes were good. Not the best we've had, but they were good. We split a salad which they plated separately with just a tiny bit of salad on both. Entrees is where I was disappointed. 8oz filet w/cognac mushroom sauce was such a letdown. The filet seemed like it was lacking seasoning or something. A tiny bit of sauce was on the plate, with the filet on that, and then (and this was weird to me) the mushrooms were roasted and dried and put on top. And these mushrooms come in a "bunch" and where were two bunches. Not sure what I was supposed to do with this huge portion of dried mushroom when there was about a teaspoon of sauce on my plate. The filet was overdone and not melt-in-your-mouth as I expected. Then, I had ordered the a-la-carte 8oz lobster tail. What came was a piece of overcooked and dried lobster, and about 3 oz. When I inquired about the "8 oz." was told that was before cooking. Never got an answer if it was the weight of the meat or the whole thing because for $70, I'd expect 8 oz of meat. In any case, they brought me a new tail, this one was larger and cooked properly. Our waiter was great, although maybe a little too enthusiastic and the course of the meal was timed perfectly. I probably wouldn't trust them to make a good filet again (or that the quality of the meat is as good as the price would infer). If we went again, I'd try a different cut. They were nice and brought a complimentary dessert for our special occasion, and despite us telling the waiter my wife had a dairy restriction, the dessert had dairy with whipped cream on top. We mention the dairy thing and he apologized and said he'd bring a very special dessert for her. Turns out it was just a scoop of sorbet. It was nice that they did that, though, and was appreciated.

Went to Island Prime for my birthday. Service was excellent but food was just not up to par as I previously experienced. Started with the seafood tower. The oysters were good but everything else was so dry. Seemed like it had been sitting out for a while. Steak was pretty good. For the price the food should be an experience in its self. Was very below average. The view is an awesome experience but will not be coming back for the quality and the price of eating there. Can get a better overall experience and food for half the price elsewhere.

Ah, Island Prime. With the promise of waterfront elegance and culinary finesse, I approached the evening with both anticipation and appetite. To my delight, the experience was largely a testament to the craft of thoughtful dining, though not without its minor discordant notes. The atmosphere, albeit a touch brisk for comfort, was otherwise inviting, with a quiet confidence befitting its reputation. However, our welcome was marred somewhat by the staff’s inability to locate our reservation despite our diligent efforts on the OpenTable app, efforts that, incidentally, went entirely unanswered when inquiries were sent. One must admire such steadfast commitment to ignoring technology. Once seated, however, the evening truly began its ascent. The iceberg wedge arrived as a crisp, cool ode to simplicity; the filet was nothing short of sublime, a masterclass in tenderness and flavor, and the chocolate cake. This decadent flourish lingered happily on the palate. The lobster bisque, too, was a triumph, rich and velvety without descending into heaviness. The scallops, perfectly seared, were paired with a risotto that, while serviceable, fell somewhat short of the brilliance of its companions, a quiet understudy in an otherwise stellar performance. The accompanying prosciutto was an inspired touch, delicate yet flavorful. The non-alcoholic cocktails were a most welcome indulgence, inventive and satisfying, and the sangria, when it finally emerged from whatever odyssey delayed its arrival, was refreshing, though its tardiness was duly noted. In the final reckoning, Island Prime offers a dining experience worthy of its name: a veritable island of culinary excellence amid the mediocrity that plagues lesser establishments. Though the chill in the air and the occasional lapse in service leave room for refinement, it remains a worthy destination for those who seek their supper with a view and their filet mignon with a flourish.

Everything was wonderful except the 20 minute wait to be seated when we arrived on time. Our waiter, Seth, was excellent and thoughtful, our food was well prepared and delicious. The bonus was enjoying the Fourth of July fireworks with our fellow diners.

This was our first time dining at Island Prime but it will not be our last. We could not have picked a more wonderful place to celebrate 50 years together! The views, real table cloths, exceptional staff and food that was perfect. Enough left overs from our Tomahawk steak for 3 more meals. AND those pastry puff rolls and special butter are to die for! We could go on but think you get it. Thanks to all the staff for making our evening so very special.

Food was absolutely incredible; perfectly prepared. views are next level and just as expected. Our waiter was our only downfall; super nice guy but was not attentive at all. We told him when we sat down we had flights to catch and we had to utilize the bus boy more than once to get his attention to place our orders, ask for the check, etc.
