Island Creek Oyster Bar is in a very nice setting, right off of Kenmore Square, with a beautiful interior and delicious oysters. Probably like a number of places in Boston, it can get pricey pretty quickly. My wife and her cousin were not really satisfied with their food, especially considering the price, but my entree was fairly good. The oysters are phenomenal, and the service is ok. I likely won't go back myself, but I'd recommend giving it a try if you're in the neighborhood.

Our server Kayla was wonderful and went above and beyond to celebrate my husband’s 50th birthday. The food and drinks were outstanding as usual.

We had a fantastic dinner with family and friends. It was expertly prepared, very delicious and only surpassed by the wonderful & decedent dessert. I would highly recommend it, especially if you are a seafood lover.

This is my fourth time at the Island Creek Oyster Bar and it still amazes me. The flavor and the artistic presentation are second to none. Keep up the great work gang. Anytime I am in Boston, I will be sure to make time for ICOB!!

Wait staff is the best! Very helpful with the menu... especially when ordering the local oysters. My friend and I had the monkfish with a risotto cake that was so delicious! My husband had the sea bass and the sauce was amazing. Oyster sliders were excellent too. Nice craft cocktails as well! This is a great place for a casual upscale dinner or an impressive date night. If you want great seafood in a nice atmosphere with top notch service, this is the place!

Great food and “did all the right things” service but waiter did not smile once, was not very helpful, nor had a personality, so that was the biggest downside. I love this place but wasn’t as impressed this time around.

We loved ICOB! I was looking for a seafood restaurant in the area and this did not disappoint. While it is on the pricier side, you get what you pay for, and you could always cut down by not ordering drinks/ appetizers (though I would definitely recommend trying their rose water cocktail, as well as their salmon pâté). Overall would definitely recommend and I look forward to enjoying their delicious fish on the next occasion!

We dine here often and are never disappointed. On this occasion we celebrated my husband's birthday. As always, the food and wine were wonderful, and the atmosphere is always fun. Although we always get excellent service, our waiter was particularly good this time. He was funny, friendly, helpful and timed everything well. I can't wait to return soon!

My husband and i both loved our meals! My dinner was quite unique with the Lobster pasta - homemade noodles with a simple but flavorful light sauce with tons of lobster - AMAZING! The banoffee pie was AMAZING for desert too. For a slightly higher price point dinner the portions were great. My only complaint was they didn't have a cabernet sav by the glass only by the bottle which is odd to me. The menu changes nearly daily, so if you're looking at it online it's not 100% accurate. would for sure go back and recommend!

Small portions, high prices. Enough said. Oysters EXCELLENT. I recommend you stop there. Fried clam app had about 5 clams atop a pile of fries. Fish sandwich was smaller than a slider: fish so thin you couldn't taste it; brioche bun so sweet that's all you could taste. I wanted a bowl of clam chowder - after all, this IS a seafood restaurant - but they only offer a CUP for $11!!

Big mistake, as we ALWAYS go to Eastern Standard before a game, or whenever we want a great cocktail and solid meal when we're in the area.

Went here for brother's birthday - the ambiance, food and service were all great, but I did think that the food was a bit pricey for what they were. I would definitely recommend the raw bar selections here like the oysters and the salmon tartare which were phenomenal, but the cooked dishes were just good (we had the mussels + chorizo pasta and lobster roe pasta). Server was lovely.

Always wanted to try the place...but was disappointed. Oysters were excellent. The food was not great. We ordered the salmon crudo . The fish was good but they put way too much salt, citrus, and sauce which over powered the fish. Same with the lobster roe noodles. Too rich and overpowering and not subtle or refined. Service was brisk and business as usual. Loud and drafty.
