Many thank yous to the management, I hated the
Keep moving my dinner reservation but in the end they were accommodative, the rest was simple the food and raw bar were amazing dessert was an equivalent to banana foster loooooooved it!!
Continues to be our favorite restaurant. Best oysters. Never had a bad meal!
Very friendly service on a slow night; entree selection was rather limited, oysters were of superb quality, clam chowder was sub-par
Always enjoy our visits to ICOB. The biscuits alone are worth the visit.
excellent quality fish, just yumm, i dont eat oysters but my friend had them and seemed extremely happy...
service on point
if you are vegetarian it might not be THE place for you.
Always enjoy sitting at the bar enjoying fresh amazing raw bar
Loved everything about Island Creek. Our waitress was super helpful and all of her recommendations were spot on. Oysters were fantastic. As were the entrees: Pasta with lobster and short ribs (their version of surf and turf) and the monkfish. Drinks, wine, dessert. All faultless. Highly recommended.
Island Creek never disappoints. Outstanding service, delicious seafood & the OYSTERS!!! A special treat. Can not wait to return, again!
Third time visiting and third time I've really enjoyed it (along with my guests). Fresh takes on fresh seafood (though someone in our party got a burger and loved it but then again isn't it essential that any seafood place have great non-seafood for those who don't partake?), great drinks and wine all powered by a great team and service.
My friend and I both ordered the flounder stuffed with crabmeat and it was truly delicious! We had Brussels sprouts on the side and everything exceeded my expectations. Our table was very close to the tables on either side of us, which made for moderate noise. The restaurant is lovely! The wine list is great, too.
Service was not great tonight. After our meal we waited and waited and finally had to find a waiter in order to have our table cleared and order tea and dessert. For the $$$$ spent on our meal the quality of service was not good.
It was recommended by a friend. We then brought our good friends here and we were all so disappointed. The meal was not flavorful and the monk fish was overcooked.
Two of us went on a weeknight to catch up after a long time, so we knew we'd be wanting take our time. The service was fantastic: attentive, but not annoying, and not rushing us. The crudo of the night was salmon, which was excellent. The vegetable sides were delicious. The entrees might have been sitting a while -- the halibut and the scallops were both a bit overdone, but in spite of that, really tasty. The apple crisp w/bourbon ice cream was a great way to end.
Food and service were absolutely stellar!
We had a wonderful experience at Island Creek Oyster! I mentioned my husband's birthday, and they went over the top to make it a special experience for us. We LOVED the food and they were the best oysters we have ever had. We will definitely be back and will be recommending it to others!
Came here after landing at the airport and really enjoyed the food. Very fresh and well-prepared dishes with a lot of flavour.
We had a great experience here! We love coming to ICO Bar when we’ve got the free time because we are oyster lovers!!! This is the next best thing to going down to the raw bar at the island creek oyster farm during the warmer months. Michelle was our waitress and she was awesome, a really fun and caring person who cared about our experience, helping making it another great one. We had a dozen oysters, shared the lobster bisque and fish and chips—which come out as separate, smaller portions which we absolutely love rather than being given the normal portion with two side plates.
The donuts are great! The food and presentation are top notch quality, though the fries and the biscuits (for egg Benedict) are a bit on the salty side. Should be corrected. Otherwise the wait staff is great, though I wish I was seated where the windows are. We brought our two teenagers for brunch. There were empty tables in the front, but we were immediately seated in the back, which is very dark and where all families were seated side by side. These families had very young kids and mine were teenagers... We should have been asked and this is one touch that I do not appreciate, please do not discriminate families.
Reliably the best meal in Boston - always on point!
Everything was wonderful except the VERY loud music!
Our entrees arrived cold because a different server didn't know which table to deliver the food. Saw the guy roaming around with our food not even looking at us several times! My fried clams cold by the time he finally figured out where the food was supposed to go. Then he tried to cover vup by saying he didn't want to interrupt us!! I love island Creek, big fan, but I can't accept that service. We were going to a movie and had to leave soon so I didn't say anything. In a rush. Please don't try to lie about slow food delivery!
The oysters were fresh and delicious as was the Fish and Chips!
Great oysters! Good place for a family date. Great for little kids.
Everything we had was excellent. The biscuit was fantastic. The lobster roe pasta dish was inventive and tremendously flavorful. A unique and wonderful dish.
Usually a big fan. But I guess realizing I was doing some work along w dinner the server figured he could neglect and then not listen to me. Also if I ask for a dozen don’t bring 6 and blame me. Also when I ask for more don’t suggest different oysters and not confirm it. Definitely think of going elsewhere for my oysters next time
Food was amazing. Great wine and fresh oysters but server was quite rude. I would recommend to go for oysters but keep in mind that servers can gossip at your back while you are paying.
Excellent food and service!
This is my favorite place to bring guests for Boston seafood. don't need to bring them todo seaport anymore.
Michelle was our server and she was so wonderful! Helpful and knowledgeable. Oysters from Duxbury are out of this world!
We waited and waited. We had a reservation but the greeter said we must wait for a certain table to be available. We ordered drinks and waited at the bar. When we approached the greeter to ask how long we must wait to be seated she came to the bar and told us to pick up our drinks to take to them table. The table was by a drafty door that was very busy. We then waited a long time to be served.
Service was excellent! Fried clams were top notch, maybe the best I have ever had. And the Apple Crisp was fabulous. My only complaint: I was disappointed with the NE clam chowder and would not recommend it, but that is just my opinion and personal taste. I would definitely go back again and highly recommend.
Honestly the food was completely mediocre. The $18 shrimp tacos were: 1 piece of fried shrimp, shredded carrots, and an unappealing sauce on a stale tiny tortilla. I think I could have done better in my own kitchen.
Just fabulous. Great place for an ‘oyster night out.’ Delicious fish choices in addition.
Overpriced. Loud. Servers overextended.
Terrific place but a bit too noisy for my old ears
Great restaurant. Great layout, vibe, atmosphere and look. A vibrant , busy feeling but not over noisy.
A lovely restaurant and the food was excellent. Fish was delicious.
The Fresh Oysters are as good as it gets!! Large selection and so fresh!!
last Sunday night we sat in the bar and our server was in such a hurry and spoke so fast ! Then just left!!! A bit rude when you would like an explanation of an item on menu. Not sure I would go back but maybe to sit at the bar. Atlantic Fish has amazing Oysters also an perfect service!!
We had the Halibut ceviche, oyster sliders, and lobster bisque. All good and service was excellent.
Excellent sea food restaurant
