Our waiter was great but the length of time it took to receive our food was way longer than usual. Even our waiter made comment that we should’ve had our food before it was received. Overall.. great service.
There was one server / hostess and service was pretty slow. We received pancakes with no syrup. Coffee without sugar, and had to wait until we could finally get her attention to receive these items. The shrimp and grits were not the usual. This was my first visit to Mchenry Row location I usually frequent Canton. It wasn’t the same at all.
Friendly and quiet enivironment. The food and service was good.
Super friendly waitress! Pleasant experience!
Heather was very nice and patient when we weren’t ready to order
Amazingly good! Outstanding service!!
Homemade PopTarts are a must!
Food was good, service was slow.
Despite the challenges surrounding COVID-19 my wife and I enjoyed our brunch. Expect a limited menu due to covid; I wanted the Crab Benedict but I was just as happy having the yummy crab bowl; check out the menu to learn more.
It was my mother in law’s 65th birthday and less to say, she won’t forget such a horrible experience. I can say the manager did try to fix the situation afterwards. I traveled from Iowa to Baltimore to share this occasion with her and I was very disappointed. My chicken came out Burnt! So did my son’s. My mother in law steak was so small and taste less. For $22 you expected to get at least 6 oz! After such horrible food, the waitress dropped a plate and it broke on my nephew’s phone. When the plate broke syrup splattered all on their clothes. Luckily it wasn’t white. I really expected much more for this restaurant. I’ve visited other franchises over the states and never had such a poor experience.

The food is always spectacular and the servers are always pleasant. This trip didn’t disappoint. A bit strange because COVID has limited indoor dining but the staff still delivered!
Fast service and great food as always. I was bothered that I saw servers with masks that didn't cover their noses and the managers said nothing to them though.
Urghhh! The food quality has diminished since the last times I have been to the Iron Rooster. The candied bacon pop tarts were undercooked and had an obnoxious amount of icing and whipped cream. It was so unappealing. The crab has was pretty decent, but the shrimp and grits had something weird going on with the sauce. Although the restaurant was pretty empty, it took about 10 minutes to be greeted and 35 minutes to receive our food. The waiter was unenthused and super blah. I wouldn't return. There are too many places in the area with fantastic service and food.
This place is always a go to whenever I have friends in town. The food is great, everyone is very friendly, and I’ve had great experiences at both locations
Food was cold and not good. Service was slow and lacking.
Our first time at the Iron Rooster and we will be back. Our server recommended and highly endorsed the RoosTart from their menu that we ordered 1 savory and 1 sweet for the table. Despite this build up, our server still undersold just how delicious the two the RoosTart we got were. The breakfast and lunch plates we ordered did not disappoint either. The service was outstanding, friendly and attentive.
Greta homemade poptarts and quiet location. Will def be back
Staff was friendly, we were seated on time and the food was great.
It was so abysmally average... might as well have been an Applebee’s. Would not go back.
Food was ok. Wasn’t packed so I’m. It sure why everything took so long(food, service, etc.).
The service was excellent! The food was delicious!!!!
Thank you for a wonderful meal!!!!!
I had a great experience and the food was yummy
Waitress, Essence was phenomenal. Including the overall customer service. However, the food wasn’t a good. It wasn’t horrible but it was not what we were expecting.
Iron Rooster is the best breakfast/brunch spot, I would highly recommend it to anyone! The food was excellent, but what always wins me over is the service of the employees.
Food was lukewarm/cold.
We did not enjoy the food. The food was quite bland. I had the crab hash and there was barely any crab or bacon in it. The potatoes were mushy.
Food was very good and the waitstaff was accommodating. I would like to return just to try different items.
Great food and service as usual. Never disappoints.
Rootarts were delicious. Apparently they have new menu but actual menu hasn’t been updated. Server was very nice and manger handle situation by removing item from check. Food was pretty good just check to make sure they are serving what’s described
Great Sunday brunch experience! Our reservation was for 10:45 am. Walked in at 10:45 and we were immediately seated at a table that had been reserved for us. Food was delicious and the portions were huge. Mimosa was a little on the small side but the Bloody Mary was fabulous. Our server was outstanding and took great care of us. I think we have found a new brunch spot.
Great food! I highly recommend the homemade pop-tarts.
Had a great time and and the best service.
Great staff and food! Top to bottom is my favorite Iron Rooster location
Poor service mediocre food and the manager on duty has a bad attitude. Won’t be going back to this place!!!
Comfort food! Iron Rooster has so many delicious items that will stick to your ribs. BUT, they have some lighter, healthier options, too. I got a watermelon salad as my entree, then shared a pop tart with my dining partner. I felt good about doing that and not blowing my calorie budget.
Went for breakfast and half my table became sick after eating different plates of food. Will definitely not return.
Portions were good size. Food was seasoned well and not overly salty as many restaurants are. Service was very good, would’ve liked that the dirty plates be removed though. Server was friendly and knew the menu well.
All staff was friendly and helpful. Even as the staff passed the table they would smile.
Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Enjoyed the meal and will definitely return!
This was our first time dining at an Iron Rooster. We were both looking forward to it but ended up being very disappointed. We had a noon reservation and didn't get seated until 12:25. Then, the food was slow coming out of the kitchen. My steak bowl was fine. However, my friend ordered eggs over medium, and first was given hard-cooked eggs with solid yolks -- no runniness. The re-order came out with barely-cooked eggs. She didn't eat the eggs and gave up asking for a re-order after that. It just wasn't worth it. She also ordered pancakes and had to ask for the syrup. By the time it came to the table, the pancakes had cooled off.
It was a very busy day. But something was clearly off beyond that. The manager knocked 15% off our bill for our trouble. We appreciate that, but it doesn't change our opinion of our experience. Based on what happened, we won't be dining at Iron Rooster again.
My friends and I drove in from various parts of the Baltimore area, two had babies and were apprehensive about the location, but it was perfect! The staff was so warm, welcoming and accommodating - they love babies there! They gave us plenty of time to enjoy each others company. The pop tarts were amazing, and we all enjoyed our breakfasts!
Our waiter was amazing and the food was good too.
