Order a steak and it was soaked in oil/water. Will go back again but wont order a steak again.
The new deck is amazing! Lightly covered so you still feel like you are sitting outside but not blasted by the sun or deal with umbrellas that obstruct your view! The beer was cold... I love Mahalo Apollo, the food was fantastic (as usual)... our server Matthew was personable and the food timed perfect for a mom and 2 kiddos.
Had a great dinner outside, everything was perfect!
While the food and service was good, the noise level was atrocious. My guest and I had to yell across the table to be heard. Definitely not a place to have a conducive conversation.
Long time customers of Iron Hill. Some of the usual extras were missing. No breadsticks with any of the salads. Iceberg lettuce on the lettuce wraps versus bib or romaine lettuce.
I hope as you expand you don't lose the things that made you a neighborhood gem.
I love the look of the new renovations but the volume level is insane. I wish there was something they could do to help absorb some of the sound to allow guest to be able to easily speak when in the dinning room or well anywhere.
Moriah knows how to make you feel loved along with her brewing knowledge makes it fun to be at iron hill. The food is killer. PS joint the King Of The Hill program. Ez & worth it.
Worst experience in 25 years!
Delayed seating even with reservation.
Obnoxiously loud noisy rock music playing on Mother’s Day.
Outrageous noise level.
Iron Hill has totally lost its way.
We would always enjoy and recommend in the past. No more.
Service was slow, long wait times for requests, plenty of people working. Could possibly have been a new waitress. Burger was great, fries were cold. With all that said, I would definitely give them a second chance.
Service was great, menu was well rounded, and the new updated design of the restaurant, bar, and upper deck area is really nice.
We frequent and like, Iron Hill in Lancaster, but not interested in returning to Wilmington location.
The remodel is beautiful and it’s so much more open now! Our server Veronica was great as well!
Food was great and so was service but noise level in the bar is very loud.
Normally I love Iron Hill and I’m a king of the hill member, but my most recent experience was rough. Our beer took forever, food even longer. This would be a one star review except the restaurant manager was awesome and comped our meals. We’ll try again but probably not soon...
Enjoyed seeing the new look of the restaurant. Being the first week back, it was very busy but the food was great as always. This is and will continue to be our neighborhood go-to spot.
All was good, server Stefanie was nice, but way too loud.
The food here is consistently good. With the new layout, the noise level was way too loud. We could not even hear or talk with out table mates.
Even with being under construction, everything was great! Can’t wait to see the new downstairs bar and deck area next week!
Our table was next to a high traffic area, our server got really busy and seemed to forget we were there, twice forgetting our drinks. We finally had to ask someone else to help us. I got my daughter a dessert for her birthday, the waiter practically threw it on the table and said Happy Birthday. The food was cold and our steaks were rare when we asked for well. I would not go back
The restaurant was in the middle of renovation so that contributed to the lack of “great ambience”. The tables were very close and so I felt like I was eating with other folks. Beer was excellent though. ( I had the Danny Dortmunder. Love that beer! I strongly recommend you keep that beer year round please!) Food was good as well.
Iron Hill never disappoints when ever I go here. The food and beer is always perfect and the staff is super friendly. Its always a good idea to get a reservation before going here because its so popular and fills up very quickly.
It will be nice when the renovations are done in the dining area is not a construction site
Great service and food. The resturant is currently under construction with completion targeted in late May.
Took over 10 minutes for our server to first visit our table. Our last visit was similar. The rest of the service was good.
Wish you still offered pizzas. The flatbreads are an ok alternative, but they’re maybe a little overpriced for the size and the pizzas were better.
We were just passing through town and chose this place to eat. They are currently renovating and were outstanding.
Ironhill is very consistent and good. I was a lite surprised to learn when we arrived that they were doing construction and this limited the seating.
Had to wait 40 minutes after we arrived for our reservation time. They're doing construction so part of the restaurant was not open when we were dining, but for an 8:00pm reservation, I wouldn't expect to have to wait so long. It also seemed like they were short-staffed, as our waiter was running around the whole night.
Food & service were good. Noise level “out of control!”
I go to Iron Hill frequently. Great beer, good food. Kind of loud but a fun setting.
Not the place to be until the renovations are completed. Only the upstairs were open. It was packed, noisy and the service was quite poor.
Having said that, I still recommend the place. Just wait another few weeks before going!
Alexandria did an awesome job as our server.
Restaurant undergoing renovations however still a great atmosphere. Food was good and service was good.
Food was very good at reasonable prices. We had outside seating on a great weather night without a wait.
Met my daughter in law
It was a birthday dinner for my husband with our family, 8 in all. Our server was obviously overwhelmed with having 3 fairly large tables. She was capable of getting the children’s meals out first but lacked with attending to the table. We were seated in the middle of the dining room where it got very loud through out the dinner. It would have been more comfortable and perhaps less noise in a booth, or upstairs in the more private dining. The food for the adults came out slow and we had to leave due to the timing (around 2 hours) before we could cut the cake. We will not be back as a family again. It’s fine for a casual dinner or happy hour. Food was decent.
I plan on returning the next time I'm in Wilmington. The food was excellent. The selection of brews was also outstanding. The Red Lager was satisfying. We tried the curried carrot soup and were very pleased. The crab cakes turned out to be as advertised. Very happy with the choice. We had the apple crisp and were not disappointed.
Chicken terriaki was awesome! Salmon was under cooked twice, even after it was originally requested to be well done.
Very noisy dining area and tables placed quite close together. Similar to a dining hall.
Waitress was awesome! Sorry, I dont remember her name.
Despite the reservation, our table wasn’t ready until ten minutes passed. They wedged our party of five into a booth, despite tables being unoccupied. Food fine, and decent value otherwise.
The food was not what it used to be at Iron Hill. Service was average.
Our waiter was great but the new menu items were subpar. Disappointing because we used to really like the food. The Etouffee looked like a frozen food lean cuisine entree :(
