Iron Gate Kitchen is the brand new, purpose-built restaurant at Iron Gate Estate in the Hunter Valley. Our restaurant showcases fresh, seasonal produce and bold Iberian flavours. Executive Chef Joey Ingram’s relaxed, rustic approach to Mediterranean cuisine is designed for sun-drenched dining, with a focus on wood, smoke, fire and the grill. The menu follows Mediterranean tradition—designed to share, encouraging guests to slow down and savour the afternoon. Dine surrounded by vineyards and Mediterranean-inspired architecture, just steps from where our estate-grown wines are made—perfectly paired with your meal.

We reserve a number of tables daily for walk-ins, and online bookings close 30 minutes before service. Feel free to swing by—if we’ve got space, we’ll make it work. No need to call!

This restaurant experience starts as soon as you walk in with the modern yet ambient decor. It continues with the amazingly delicious food (the lamb just fell apart), complemented by the friendly, professional staff. And at the end? Great value for money. We will definitely be back. Many times.

We came for lunch at 130pm on Friday. The warm, friendly but professional greeting from Harvey was excellent. Stacey our server was fantastic, paying close attention to our dining experience, making sure everything was taken care of. The dining room is lovely, modern with an eclectic and traditonal feel. Our entrees of arancini and octopus, were great especially the softness and freshness of the octopus. Our mains of the Wagyu bravette and lamb shoulder were delicious and presented beautifully. Our sides of patatas and heirloom salad were outstanding, much better than expected. Overall the staff on the floor of Harvey, Harry, Courtney, Stacey and Louise were perfect providing a beautiful dining expereince. Coupled with Chefs Joey and Laras excellent creations, it was a 10/10 experience and we can't wait to go back for breakfast and dinner. Well done to all the team involved and thank you.

An excellent experience at a wonderful new dining premise. We visited from Sydney to experience this new restaurant in the Hunter and weren't disappointed!

What an amazing experience. Flawless opening! Each morsel of food was beyond special. Fabulous staff. Beautiful ambience and surroundings. Just absolutely on point and will be our new favourite place. Will be back very soon. I will be telling everyone they need to experience Irongate Kitchen!!!
