Iron Bridge Wine Company - Columbia
Love the place! Great food and wine selection and apprreciate the level of service.
This is a family favorite to celebrate special events or just have a great meal on the fly
Always a great place to eat. There to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. Looking forward to going back...
Our go to restaurant for special occasions (birthday, anniversary, etc.)
Jerry and I went to Iron Bridge for dinner. We both ordered the beef tenderloin special. It was
cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Thank you! Susan.
The service was friendly and super-helpful, the food was great and so was the atmosphere.
Very pleasant dinner at fair prices. Food was well prepared and tasty. Our first time here and I was a little disconcerted when shown to table in the bar area. Turned out that the dining room is quite small and since there are no tv’s in the bar the noise level was not an issue and the table was fine.
I had the steak special which was a tender filet cooked perfectly and delicious cheddar mashed potatoes. Wife enjoyed her short ribs as well. Small note, the dinner rolls were delicious and a bit of a surprise since I find most rolls and bread served in the Baltimore area has the consistency of “Wonder Bread “.
Guess I’ll never get the NY bread and water I’m used to anywhere but in the City.
*First time writing a review* This was my 3rd time going to Iron Bridge and I was not as impressed as the first time. I even referred a friend to go a few weeks before me and to my surprise, she was not impressed at all. After her, I decide to take a guest to Iron Bridge despite my friends comments. The table arrangement was awkward and so my guest and I tried to fix it. The waiter comes back to us and says “we don’t do that here” he then proceeded to have us stand up so that he could retwist the table. He was explaining how other customers do not like having someone else’s back towards them because it is uncomfortable, and yet he did not provide options to help his current customers feel more comfortable. (He even brought up that the table next to us had a reservation and they did not even show for another hour...) Also, while picking a wine, we were told that there are no semi sweet wines, which I found humorous after he explained that there were hundreds of bottles to choose from. Overall, my satisfaction with this restaurant has decreased. I do not foresee myself going back or referring any of my friends.
Great service, awesome atmosphere, friendly service. Really great wine selection. Our new favorite date night spot!
Such an incredible evening! The service was amazing as usual and the food was to die for. Thank you!
Consistently excellent! Always impresses our guests.
Nice restaurant. Great food, good service. Pleasant dining experience.
Had the perfect date night with my girlfriend here. Amazing food and drinks. Our server Cecilia was knowledgeable and a wonderful person
This is the first time we got seated in the adjoining dining only room. We think it lakes ambiance, and needs some refreshing no, especially considering this is a fairly pricey place. Plus it was chilly and loud in there. Next time we will specify the main room or pass on dining there.
Food was Ok, not exceptional. The fish was accompanied by far too many potatoes, and a non descriptive purée that had no taste. In fact, we really could not identify it. Spouse had the filet which was delicious and prepared just right. That was placed on top of a minuscule portion of whipped potatoes. Roasted asparagus was tasty.
Bread Pudding was dry and one edge was tough and too chewy.
Had my mother’s birthday there and everything went very well. We were a large party and there was only one minor hiccup when a bowl of soup was late. Other than that, the service was great, the food was good, and everyone had a great time.
Loved the food and the ambiance!
Entrees were excellent: sea bass and pork sirloin. Calamari was greasy and under done, creme brulee was bitter, apple crisp was nothing special
I'd rate the food excellent except for fried calamari that while crunchy smelled of oil a bit too much. The foie gras appetizer was perfect. Our server, Amanda, did a great job finding the wine to match both the appetizers and the entrees. Speaking of the entrees: only three scallops made the scallop entree rather pricey. Overall, a really good dinner even though the staff totally overlooked the fact that it was a birthday dinner for both of my guests.
Let me start by saying I have dined at Iron Bridge many times over the years and I love hit place, but on this last visit my burger and mu guests burgers were burnt! They asked for well done and I asked for medium well and they were literally burnt on the outside, so much so that you could not eat the outside of the burger. This is the first time this ever happened. I told the waitress but we had waited so ling for our food I didn't want tossed it back. I will dine at Iron Bridge again, as I said earlier, I love this restaurant. But unfortunately, this was an off night, at least for the burger. Happens to the best of us.
Love this place all is always GREAT
Tables are a little too close to one another.
Excellent as always! We always enjoy sampling from the Tasting Flights.
First time visiting. Great food and service. Will be back again!
Our waiter was very helpful in choosing a wine we loved. The food was delicious! We'll definitely be back soon.
The food was fabulous and service great! We sat at the bar which was cozy!
Excellent dinner with great wine pairings. Service w as just a touch slow on a Thursday night during the Holidays, but our server was very personable and attentive, once she found our table. The filets were excellent, with some can't miss brussel sprouts. Treat yourself to a classy night out!
It is always a special occasion to get together for dinner with our grown kids and their significant others. Iron Bridge makes it all the more special. We splurged since it was a Thursday night, and ordered a 40% off tasty Malbec. My hamburger was not cooked to my specification, but they immediately got me another. Food highlights: Brussels sprouts, beet salad, grilled Caesar, Cioppino, flatbread, creme brulee!
My boyfriend and I enjoyed another excellent meal at Iron Bridge recently. We were celebrating our anniversary. The staff recognized the occasion with a sparkling wine toast and with a candle in our creme brulee, which we appreciated. Neither of us usually orders Brussels sprouts since that's not a preferred vegetable for either of us, but we ordered them at the suggestion of our server and were glad that we did since they were delicious! The scallops were also particularly noteworthy -- very large and cooked well. We will be back!
Dinner Group of four - seated right away in room adjacent to bar (quieter). All ordered the $40 appetizer/entrée/dessert special that was ongoing. Calamari, mussels and Spinach salad were all excellent. Also enjoyed the Scallops and duck entrees!! Our waiter, Colin was outstanding
The food and wine are always terrific. We didn’t get prompt service, but it was due to a miscommunication. Once service did start, our server was excellent.
Very happy with our experience food-wise, wine-wise, and service-wise. The 'main room' seems more cozy and more festive, with some decorations and lots of bottles of wine on display. We were in the 'back room' which was fine, just a bit more plain. The waiter we had (Colin) was wonderful!
Our favorite place! Glad we could share Christmas Eve with them.
Ambiance & service outstanding on Christmas Eve but food just ok given the prices. Am in no hurry to return.
The waitress spoke loud about the gift card that was applied and how much was charged to the credit card. I felt like I was in TGIF or something. Please educate her to be more discrete.
My wife and I have been to this restaurant two times -- to celebrate birthdays and an anniversary. Both times, the food and the service have been excellent. The restaurant is quite noisy, but the atmosphere is festive. The wine list is extensive and superb. The cost is high, but it is justified by the great food and service in a relaxed, casual setting.
We had not been to Ironbridge for a few years and were eager to go there again. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. My foie gras was excellent, but my hanger steak and my wife's grilled fish were not. The steak was accompanied with severely undercooked root vegetables in a gooey sauce. Instead of having a crispy skin, as grilled implies, it was covered with a sauce.
We went for our department holiday luncheon. We were also celebrating a co-workers birthday. Everything was great and the portions were too. We tried several desserts and the crème brulee was the best I've ever had. The blackforest cake was a huge hit too.
TJ and the staff at Iron Bridge made our post Ravens game dinner a wonderful evening. The food was great and he was very helpful with menu suggestions. Our to-go order was timed perfectly.
I has become a special place for me and a special person. It gets better the more we go. We always try to sit at the bar where we can converse with others, including the staff.
1) Food was average, my son and I had the Pork Belly. My wife had the Chicken Pot Pie. This was the better choice. The artisinal cheese was good and we would consider going back for an appetizer and a glass of wine.
2) We asked the waitress for a price on a bottle of wine. She quoted a discounted price ($39) and added a bottle to the bill at full price ($65). We didn't order the wine - we simply inquired about the price so we had to ask her to remove the wine from the bill.
3) The waitress forgot to add the appetizers to the bill and called us to advise us that she was increasing the price on our bill. I had to ask her how much the increase would be and she had to check. (Really? Did she expect me to extend an additional payment without knowing the amount?
4) The ambiance was pleasant but fireplace made it a little too hot.
