Insalata's Restaurant is moving into it's 28th year of the community minded restaurants in San Anselmo. Insalata's receives Bib Gourmand from Michelin for it's 15th year in a row.
Our goal at Insalata's has always been to bring luscious Mediterranean food, gracious service and a warm atmosphere to our diners. For over 28 years we have shared this experience of intimate dining and joyful celebrations in a variety of ways. First and foremost as a fine dining restaurant with our beautiful private Siena room in which to sit and relax and enjoy a meal. We also offer take out dining for those days when time is of the essence, or catered affairs where we bring great food and staff into your home or venue. Our guests have become family and we have grown together in the community in which we all live and work. Everyone at Insalata's is extremely proud to be a part of this extended "village" family.

    We had Haley’s comet for our service so we just saw her every so often. She forgot the drink order. We had to ask for things twice. Could have been so much better.

    I had not been to Insalata in a number of years. It's still delicious. Everything on the menu looked so good that we over-ordered and now have lots of great food to finish off this week!

    Insalata's is my favorite restaurant in Marin. I LOVE their eggplant fries with the cilantro chutney, and their grilled lamb with salad and flatbread, and cumin yogurt, is just yummy. Their inside space is always cool and elegant, and our service is always very good.

    We are long standing patrons of Insulata, and it is one of our very favorite restaurants. Last night, everything seemed a little off. The service was very slow, and the food was not as delicious as it usually is. We will be back soon and are hoping this was just a difficult weekend for staff--it was the fourth of july weekend.

    Your staff was so accommodating because my guests were stuck in pre holiday traffic. I ordered the Messe Platter and it was delicious as usual. The kitchen closed at 2:30 pm and my guests were 5 minutes late. Oh well, next time. BTW, they were thrilled to be out of the fog bank in the city and enjoyed the lovely warm San Anselmo.
