In these troubled times, it was lovely to be able to sit and eat in confidence that all measures were being taken seriously but that they didn't intrude. The service was friendly and swift. The food was amazing and portions generous. We had such a lovely time, when we'd been braced for having to "make do" given the pandemic. We'll be going back as soon as we both have another day off together. I very much recommend La Casa Degli Amici, even though it may mean it gets more popular and I might have to book ahead!

Cheap prices make sense. Garlic bread and pizza were dry and crunchy like bread sticks. Ingredients not particularly very fresh. Disappointing, as it's so close to decent Italian food. Maybe they had an off night.

For a neighbourhood restaurant, you couldn’t really ask for more. Really top quality and authentic Italian food from a simple menu of favourites and specials with super-friendly service. Recommended.

Great find, glad we gave this place a go. The new owners are really friendly and cook lovely authentic Italian pasta and pizzas. They have a great outside courtyard area which is about to have an upgrade to make it useable in the rain. Now we're working from home more often this will be a great spot for out of house working with lunch or a long working coffee. I also went for lunch a while back and they had lunchtime offers on as well so very affordable.

We visited for the first time as part of the eat out to help out scheme. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent and almost made us feel we were in Italy. We’ll definitely be returning.

I hate to leave bad reviews but this was one of the few times where I’ve gone to a restaurant and quite literally cannot eat the food we were served. The calamari to start was undercooked and rubbery. For mains we both got the seafood linguine. The waiter told us it was freshly bought fish from the market that day - however it was one of the worst smelling plates of food I can ever remember having. The fish honestly smelt like it was from the Thames. Neither of us could stomach more than a couple of mouthfuls. The garlic bread was ok, just burnt and not that flavourful. The service was fine it was just the food - perhaps we got unlucky but it was totally inedible.

Excellent food & great value for money - a new local favourite for us. Outside space needs a bit of TLC but would definitely go back for the food!

Sadly my salmon was completely raw. But my dates food was delicious. The owner was very apologetic and tried to rectify it.

We enjoyed our pizza and juicy chicken escalopes. Really glad to have found this place that serves authentic Italian food in West Norwood at reasonable price.
