Permanently Closed - Located on bustling Baker Street, the Indali Lounge is already a big hit with London’s healthy eating enthusiasts thanks to its unique approach to Indian cuisine. The owner, Dr Kartar Lalvani, wanted to provide curry connoisseurs with an alternative to traditional recipes that use heavy, calorific ingredients like ghee, butter and cream. At Indali, the Chefs use organic produce, probiotic yoghurts and spices with medicinal qualities to create delicious dishes that won’t compromise your waistline. To complement the modern menu, the interior is a sleek and sophisticated blend of dark wood, purple suede and shimmering beaded light fittings. The Indali Lounge also benefits from a separate bar area, complete with an extensive wine and cocktail list.

The starters were excellent , paneer 3 ways and veg kebab. The mains somehow were very disappointing. The veg kofta was in a kind of tomato sauce with no flavour of any kind ,bland but just edible.The same sauce was used in Chicken Madras and was no where near any madras sauce I have come across. Even the chicken pieces were like they were from a tin all even texture . Poor . Just disappointing from a very good start with good wine.

Visited the Indali Lounge on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed. Was surprised that it wasn't busy (Sat eve) as the time slot I wanted wasn't available on Opentable. Service was prompt and courteous. Was decent value but depends on your budget - three starters, 2 mains, 1 side dish valued around £55/£60 for 2 people which I thought was pretty good considering the restaurant, the service and the quality of food. The food was very good - Salmon starters were light but full of flavour and not overpowering. Would definitely go again - would recommend this restaurant for a date, or going as part of a group. I liked the quirky touch of a pen with the standard business card to promote the restaurant.

Our first visit and we were delighted with the food and service. A good choice on the menu with dishes you may not expect in an Indian restaurant- but this is far different from the norm! Well worth a try.

Very good ambience and great service. The concept of healthy butter-free cream-free Indian food is quite interesting. The food itself was good, maybe very good for British palette, however slightly bland for authentic Indian taste. I might go again for healthy food option but maybe not for fine taste. The starters were good, breads were very nice but main dishes were a slight disappointment for authentic taste. But overall a good meal.

After receiving a reminder email on December 31 regarding our January 1 reservation we arrived at the Indali Lounge promptly at 7:00pm for dinner. The restaurant was closed and had a sign on the front door saying it was closed on January 1. We walked around the area for 1/2 hour before we could find an available restaurant. We had arrived in London early morning on January 1, so this was our arrival in London celebration meal. When I phoned the restaurant the next day I was told that they phoned and spoke with me and I told them that it was fine. This was a lie as the only phone number they had was a US number and we were on our way to London. They should have just apologized for the mixup and inconvenience and invited us to come by for a meal.

2nd visit and all was really good again. Had 9 people for a get together, and had a real hankering for the sweet and sour of a Dhanzak. I sent the waitress into the kitchen who returned with the message, "Menu only". That said the food was great and with no butter or Ghee.

Found this place on a few websites while looking for options near Marylbone area. We'd just arrived from States and wanted something convenient. Wow- what a wonderful find this place turned out to be. Wife is very selective with her food choices- and often Indian meals can be- lets just say a bit "heavy". The low fat concept at Indali was perfect- had all the classic dishes but with no ghee or heavy butter sauces. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great Indian- with lighter fare.

I booked a table for 7pm on Saturday for our Wedding Anniversary, it's taken me an hour to get reach the venue finally reach the venue when the manager tells me the whole place is reserved for a wedding! how pathetic you clearly had my details you could have called me, I had high expectations but left disappointed, I have sent an email to Indali Lounge for an explanation but received no feedback...Shows you how much they look after there customers!

Fav Indian restaurant in London; the food was amazing. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. I booked a table for my friend and I and but it's perfect for a group too. Highly recommend it
