Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

Very tasty food. The restaurant was busy but staff were very polite and efficient. Food was served promptly and was very enjoyable. Will definitely come back.

We had an amazing time at Imad's. Staff were welcoming, kind and attentive. Food beautiful and exceptional value for money. Oh, and the negronis and espresso martinis hit the spot. Apologies we raised the noise level. Best meal I have had for years. Diolch from Abergavenny.

Hi, we have followed Imad's story and were interested in eating at his restaurant. We took some friends and two of our party are coeliacs - the staff were more than willing to ensure that our needs were met. The food was amazing and outweighed our expectations. One of our party was new to this style of cuisine but has been won over. We already had the cook book but will now be looking to make even more things from it and give copies to our friends as presents. There was a lovely buzz and people were having a lovely time. Relaxing and welcoming environment.

Very good Restaurant. Staff all lovely and very attentive. Food was good and very tasty. There were 6 of us and we shared a number of dishes and there wasn’t quite enough…..we added 2 more dishes and the were delivered very quickly. Everything is freshly cooked and well presented. Would recommend this restaurant.
