Imad Alarnab was a successful restaurateur in Damascus with three restaurants, plus several juice bars and cafes. In the war, Imad's restaurants were destroyed and he was forced to flee the country in search of safety for his family. Making his way from Lebanon through Europe, Imad shared his skills cooking for other refugees, up to 400 at a time, and found even in the most challenging times, his passion for food and bringing people together to celebrate life was strong.

I'd wanted to visit Imad' Syrian Kitchen since getting a copy of Imad's book. Not disappointed. Such tasty, well prepared and presented dishes made a birthday lunch with our daughter something special. Hard to pick a favorite dish but the roasted cauliflower, Zahraa Harra, was fabulous. Imad's book will get stained and creased though use and we'll be back to sample more great dishes on our next London visit.

The food was delicious and the staff were great. But the noise levels are high, and we had a very loud speaking man next to us. It's partly to do with the proximity of the tables and the hard floor and furnishings not able to contain the noise. I would love it if it was a bit quieter. Really hard to chat to the person sitting opposite me.

Really good food, perfectly cooked and delicious. The mezze and dips were great and big enough to share, the warm pitas perfect for dipping. I took the chicken, big plate, so tender and savory. The service was great, fast and attentive to our needs. We had a great time . Thank you .

Tables packed together. Noise levels high. Waiters doing their job with no enthusiasm and bland food at crazy prices (for the quality). If factory eating is your thing, this is the place. Aubergine starter particularly bad. Limp, tasteless and obviously prepared hours earlier.

Absolutely delicious food and fab service for a late lunch yesterday. The staff picked up on the fact that it was my birthday and surprised me with a little baklava cake and candle and a hand-written card! What a gorgeous & unexpected touch. We will certainly be back :)

Fabulous meal for 4. Great flavours & friendly service. Only one recommendation for early diners is that as it wasn’t very busy so all our selections came out of the kitchen super fast so might be worth ordering starters / mezze first then order main courses one starters are eaten.
