   Great evening for our 34th wedding anniversary. The restaurant added the special touch of "Happy Anniversary" typed in the top corner of our menus. Our server, Jess, was phenomenal. She made some recommendations per our request and was very personable and engaging. She visited the table at timely intervals but did not interfere with our conversation. Our compliments to Chef Jordan Palmer for preparing such a wonderful meal. We both had daily specials...the braised short ribs my wife ordered were out of this world and the porcini crusted halibut I had was the best seafood dish I've ever eaten. We highly recommend Illyria to anyone looking for a more upscale dining option when you're in the Harrisonburg, VA area. We will definitely be returning for dinner at times other than special occasions. Five plus stars all around!!!!!!

   Excellent dinner! We had the Halibut special and the spicy feta. Spicy feta was excellent but for us could have been a bit more spicy. The Halibut with roasted eggplant was a wonderful blend of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service was super friendly but seemed a little scattered, understandable for a new restaurant I guess. We received our bill/check before being asked if we wanted anything else, which I personally don’t like. But, overall we really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

   This restaurant exceeded all expectations. The food and service were outstanding. Our server, Jocelyn, was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I had one of the nightly specials which was a porcini crusted halibut with stuffed eggplant and a radicchio salad. Every bite was well executed and delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and the goat cheese sauce was flavorful. My husband had the filet with mashed potatoes which were creamy and delicious. His side of whole carrots were also very good!, they have an extensive wine menu and fun cocktails also. For dessert, we had the beignets with pistachios, chocolate sauce, and strawberry ice cream. All were tasty but would have been better if the beignets were warm. A great and surprising meal in a town of mainly college food choices. Highly recommend!

   Cozy and modern, you will feel welcomed and taken care of but not pestered. The cocktails and wine list are creative and it seems that every facet of the menu is thoughtfully curated. Several distinctive rooms inside and out display art from a local former hostess that perfectly represents the interior and ties all of the areas together. As a resident in the area, and a fan of Rocktown kitchen, the Chef’s original restaurant nearby, I can highly recommend this Greek-Mediterranean restaurant with confidence!!!

    First time visit. Won't be last. We took a chance with family in town for holiday weekend and booked a table for 5. One vegetarian. One can't eat fish. Point lots of unique diet needs. Rare we all equally enjoy our meals out. This time though each was overjoyed by their meal selection. Service was very attentive. Ambiance was modern. Food was fresh, well presented and tasty. We will most certainly be back! A new favorite place here in Harrisonburg.
