Fantastic experience all around. The only negative moment was the singer calling out to one of the people in our group (by name) to not forget the tip jar after singing happy birthday to him. Our waiter was great.

I don't even know where to begin. We made reservations months in advance, and when we arrived they had given our table away to another group and out my party of 11 in a small crapped corner where the staff proceeded to forget about us. It took 11 minutes and us asking for water service. Then another 6 minutes for a server to come ask if we wanted anything else to drink, without asking for our food order. We waited another 6 minuets for those drinks and then they took our food order. After being in the restaurant for over 1 hour and 20 minuets with no food we asked for the manager. They assured us it was coming, and we asked for it to go since we had to go back to a conference. When the food came out, it was not set in to-go containers which took more time. I asked for it meals to be comped since we weren't served in a reasonable time or at all until we were ready to leave. They agreed to give us a discount. The sad part is they weren't even busy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The staff has the inability to care at all which is terrible for the service industry.

I absolutely loved my experience on a Friday night! My friend and I see treated like queens! Dylan our waiter made everything possible to enjoy our time during our dinner as we listened live band. The food and service were excellent. We enjoyed the Chicken Piccata and the short ribs. The Mediterranean salad was a treat. Very large portions on everything. The musical entertainment was very enjoyable. We look forward to a return visit the next time we are in San Diego.

Overall we liked this Italian restaurant. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The kids enjoyed their signature pizza, the carbonara was very good (other than the raw egg plopped on top), and my husband did not prefer his Chilean Sea Bass (said it was overly fishy and a bit undercooked)…it was over a bed of rice with some kind of sauce he also did not like. He had also asked for Ketel One for his drinks (which we saw they had plenty of), but he saw them use Tito’s both times. The red velvet cheesecake was inedible…very weird flavor, texture, and a soured milk aftertaste. The worst part however was certainly the live piano music. Piano is supposed to be a very soft ambient background beauty that adds to the flavor and ambience of the dining experience. This unfortunately was the opposite. Once the music started, all conversation stopped simply because we could not hear over it. For these reasons we will not be back.

The food and drinks were delicious! I highly recommend the Portofino Love cocktail and the Burrata appetizer. The “Red Velvet Cake” was very misleading, as it was really a cheesecake, but yummy nonetheless. Our server became more and more disinterested in serving us as the evening went on. A request for coffee with dessert fell on deaf ears are twice. If great Italian food is more important to you than exemplary service, than this place is a must try!

Excellent food and service during our visit. We shared an appetizer, salad, and dessert and each ordered a pasta entree—the best Italian food we have had in a while. They even had gluten-free options for salad, pasta, and dessert. We dined on a Sunday evening with live piano music from 6 to 7 PM followed by five special guest singers from the local opera company with piano accompaniment—a wonderful, romantic environment. Our server was attentive and our courses arrived correctly without rush or pressure.

Lovely dining experience. Excellent and attentive staff. Jacelyn the bartender was superb with her whiskey sour and egg whites. Shrimp Fra Diavolo had lovely butter cream sauce on top of fresh pasta. Shrimp cooked perfectly. Warm bread added nice touch to the meal.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in all of California. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! They just launched a new menu and it does not disappoint! The lobster carbonara and Bistecca ribeye were to die for!!! Live Music EVERY night of the week! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in San Diego.

Best Italian food I’ve had in SoCal in the three years I’ve lived here. Service was impeccable. Being seated in elbow-rubbing distance of the band when half the tables were still empty was a letdown and made it hard to have a conversation, that was really the only negative. We had the caprese salad as an appetizer and I ordered the squid ink linguine.

Good: great. Service: not so. Server showed up after 25min. We had to ask three times for a server. Bread: had to ask. Mentioned this to the seater on our way out. The response was that she is not in charge of the servers.

The atmosphere and food were amazing. I loved, loved the live music. Every member of the staff in which we interacted with were very attentive and friendly. It was a great dining experience.
