Fantastic dining experience! We went to celebrate a 40th and could not have been happier with our lunch. Authentic food, fabulous service , good value and a view of the water as well. We will definitely go back!

A small restaurant with a lot of perfectly cooked options and the service was extremely impeccable. We can certainly recommend this restaurant.

I am so pleased to have discovered Il Salone. Forster was in need of something special as many other local restaurant options are underwhelming. Il Salone exceeded my expectations! What a brilliant spot for Italian, I had the charcuterie, scallops, heirloom salad and eye fillet. Absolutely delicious. I went here for a birthday, so a special occasion and it was perfect. Our waiter was Italian himself and a qualified Sommelier, so we had a great chat to him and enjoyed his knowledge of the wine list. Can’t wait to go back!

Delicious, creative, varied flavours and best salad we've had in a long time. Attentive, impeccable service. Tables a bit squeezy because of the location but still ok. Beer & wine choices a bit challenging but workable. Totally lived up to the good reports we had heard and will definitely be going back. A definite asset in the area. Well done.

My husband and I enjoyed a special night out. The intimate restaurant setting fitted the occasion and the food and service wS excellent.
