Spent Mother’s Day weekend in Connecticut. Found this place online made reservations for Mother’s Day dinner. Food was fantastic nice portions. Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be back next trip!

The service was outstanding. Food was very good, just a bit on the high price side. It was a wonderful night so they had the outer doors open which allowed for the crowded street noise to filter in a bit. But a wonderful night in total.

Really delicious food--the lasagna dip was outstanding. There wasn't a drop left of anything else either--the calamari, chicken marsala, pappardelle with wild mushrooms and the clam pizza. Oddly, the only lackluster item was the bread basket.

We love Il Posto, and it's been our go-to for several years. The staff are extremely friendly, and our server Angel is the BEST. Food is fantastic - I judge an Italian restaurant by the quality of their meatballs, and their meatballs are out of this world. Would highly recommend!

We had a great dinner. Our server, Angel, was very friendly and made sure to check in on us. Everything was brought out with great timing and the food was delicious, especially the mushroom pasta. The scallops were also really good. Even the two guys bringing the water and bussing the tables were polite and friendly. They should all be commended. Thank you for a very nice dinner and evening. It’s my second time there, and I will be returning.

Interesting selection of appetizers and entrees. Moderately priced and presentation was good. Pappardelle with mushrooms, truffle oil and Gorgonzola was terrific. Orechetti with broccoli rabe was very nicely done. Brendan, our server, was helpful and professional. A little dark inside, but may have just been where we were sitting, and some acoustical tiles would dampen the noise. But a very nice dinner experience overall.

Il Posto was very crowded on a Friday night, we were happy to have reservations! We sat by the front door so it did get chilly when the door opened, but the delicious food made up for that. We had the lasagna dip appetizer, two pasta dishes and the steak frites. All came out hot and well prepared. We all left with leftovers. The service was a little slow, but that is understandable based on how crowded it was. Overall, we will definitely be back.

(Pastas, salads, fish, pizzas, vegetarian selections available too) Don't skip over the Appetizer selections - the lasagna dip, arancini, banging shrimp all delicious. Variety of selections from the bar as well: excellent cocktails; good selection of beer and wine. Bar in the front of the house; tables in the back...can get busy as the evening progresses and a little bit loud, but not terrible Overall - worth a visit

Awful. Food was salty, loaded with what had to be msg. Just inedible. We all felt sick after. Restaurant is a dive bar, but not in a fun way. Dirty and loud with horrible food and equally horrible service. I have no idea how it got any good reviews at all. Definitely skip.

Food was awful. Service was worse. The waitress was on her phone and never came to check on our table. The whole experience was awful! I went to this restaurant about three months ago and the food was amazing and the service was awful. The food was so good I thought I would give it another try. Get the food got worse in the service one even more downhill. I will never go here ever again.

When we arrived we were seated promptly at a table that perfectly accommodated our group. Our waitress was lovely and came over quickly to take our drink orders. However, once she took our orders, it was about 30 minutes before she, or our drinks returned to the table. The drinks were fine, we noticed some were inconsistent from our first and 2nd round. When she returned we gave her our entire order since so much time had passed (apps, mains and second round of drinks). By the time we got our food and ate it (which the food was delicious!!). We were hoping to order dessert. But due the slow service, the kitchen was shut down by this point, the staff was eating after their shifts and the tables were all cleared. Overall, the food was good, the staff were kind- but the service was far too slow for a Saturday night.

While the food was good, the service was terrible. There was one waitress running around serving everyone and attending the bar. We waited over an hour for our food to come out, with nobody even stopping at our table for 45 minutes. We even ran out water and nobody was around to bring more. We will not be going back to this restaurant.

There were only three People in the kitchen, 10 people in the restaurant took over 2 1/2 hours to get our food. The food was amazing! It was definitely worth the wait. The manager said to make good by giving us a cocktail. I don’t think it was good enough for all the time we had to wait for an appetizer and dinner. The food was very very good though

Food great. Waitstaff very nice. Decor attractive. Have eaten there three times. Two out of three we waited nearly one hour for our food. It was delicious when it finally came but think many they are filling too many take out orders first???
