   Was not the best experience at this establishment. Long wait for service. Finally, server from another section of the restaurant asked if we’d been helped. He ended up being our server instead of the server who should have been helping us. Thank you to Carlos.

   We went early to avoid the crowd and it worked. Service was great - timely, efficient, personable. Too bad about having to pay extra for bread but there was probably too much waste before.

   Food was good but our table wasn’t the best. Small two top in the corner by the bathroom and kitchen. We could barely talk to each other. I’d go back but would not be seated in that area again.

   We arrived early for our reservation and we were seated within a few minutes. Service from Lori was well-paced, as we wanted a leisurely dinner and not rushed. We hadn't been there for a while and was pleased to see that the restaurant was full, as we want our Roseville businesses to be successful. The menu is slightly reduced from pre-pandemic days but still had plenty of choices even for our picky eater. I have always enjoyed the decor and ambience, with lighting for the evening at a good level so you can see your food but it doesn't look like an operating room. We also like that they will split the salad as the full salad is more than we would want before dinner.

   Service by Madeline was outstanding, very attentive and on point! She is a gem. Party of 8 and no one was ignored. Everyone enjoyed the food. My only critique would be, since I don’t like pasta drowning in sauce, would be that. Next time I’ll ask for light on the sauce. We will definitely be going back. Ciao!

   Had reservations and waited 20 or more minutes for our server, who was very nice. Overall positive experience once we got our drink order in, it was just waiting to get an order in that wasn't awesome. Busy night--prom occurring (we weren't aware of that)--so should've just gone to the bar in retrospect. Either way, good food, pleasant time, will go back.

   Il Fornaio is always consistently good. We dined at Il Fornaio to celebrate my Mom's 80th birthday and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Food was delicious and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

    Been here many times. Never had a bad meal. Excellent Italian food, much of it authentic. Great seasonal menus and specials. Nice inside, linen tablecloths and napkins, uniform wait staff. It is in the Mall so the crown can be a little noisy and rambunctious at times and it’s a big room so overall it can get loud. Prices are a little high, but the quality of ingredients and skill in preparation are worth it.

    Our server was on top of everything. The food was top notch w/ fresh pasta and care put into the cuisine. Service was prompt and their specials for the evening was excellent. Truffle rigatoni. I loved it and it was a great date night for me and my lady.

    We came here for a birthday dinner. The tomatoes in the caprese salad were under ripe and hard. My wife ordered a pasta dish and the pasta was mushy and completely overcooked. I had the ossobuco with garlic mash potatoes. The potatoes had no garlic or salt. We saw several other tables experiencing issues with their orders as well. This restaurant is a shadow of what it used to be.

    Our server Kevin was attentive and our food was delicious. The wall near our table had food splatter on it and the bathrooms were grimy, overall the whole place could use a deep clean.

    Because of Galleria parking, we were going to be a few minutes late. When I called to let them know, they immediately stated they understood and would inform the hostess. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and immediately seated. James introduced himself, his assistant immediately brought water. He returned to discuss the daily specials. The advice and food were superb, as was the wine recommendation. He was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. His dessert suggestion helped round out a perfect meal.

    Food was cold and had to be reheated in microwave. Caesar salad was old and had wilted and yellow lettuce. Server forgot bread we ordered. Servings were rushed even after we said we wanted a break between servings. This is the second bad experience here and we wont be coming back. It used to be a great restaurant but has gone down over the last two years. Many of our fiends also have stopped coming to the restaurant also. It was my wife’s birthday bot not much of a birthday celebration. ( Disaster)

    We were by where the chefs cook the food. Way to noisy. Hard to hear each other talk. A wall should be in front of the cooking area. We have eaten at the restaurant several times but had never been seated by the cook area. If we go again we will be sure to tell you to be seated away from the kitchen.

    The food was exceptional and service was acceptable. However we were disappointed the women’s rest room was not kept clean. Paper litters on the floor and some bathrooms had no toilet papers and it’s only 7 pm in the evening

    We were seated next to the bathroom and a large party. We were neglected for most of the night due to the large party by us. The food was good but extremely over priced for what we received. We will never go back to this restaurant as a result of our experience.

    Service was over the top good. Lasagna was so delicious!! Only situation was that we were told bread didn’t come with the dinner. With the prices, I think they could spring for the bread. We go here often, and this was a new development for us. Not a good idea to skimp on dinner right out of the shoot by telling us we would have to pay extra for bread.

    Service was excellent. The food had changed in its preparation and presentation from before which threw us off. The bruschetta was totally different, and not in a good way. The hazelnut ravioli with the candied sage was prepared differently and really ruined the expectation. It's hard for vegetarians to get great options, and this'd been a great option in the past. The ambience, service, and calamari were all outstanding. I just wish they hadn't changed our favorite dishes.

    Very friendly and attentive staff. Never felt rushed and they answered all of our questions. Only drawback is parking. Very busy shopping center on Saturday afternoon. If you’re uncomfortable with a parking garage after dark I would recommend the valet parking. (I don’t know if restaurants will validate it or not.)

    We love Fornaio and have been there many times. Lately there have been some changes with what seems to be the food consistency. We're hoping this is a transitional issue as they cope with new staff.

    I’ve been to the downtown Il Fornaio, but this is the first visit to the Roseville location. From the minute we arrived to the last bite of dessert, it was the most pleasant of experiences. Delicious food, excellent selection, and really a value for the quality of food!

    While grating Parmesan cheese over my pasta, the waitress dropped the entire block of cheese in my dish, splashing sauce all over my shirt. All she did to rectify the situation was to bring a new block of cheese and a napkin. Water did not get the sauce out. I was not offered any compensation and was not provided with a new dish after a block of cheese was in my food, possibly contaminating it. After this, the waitress basically avoided our table. When the manager passed by, I explained the situation and asked what the protocol was to handle the situation. She explained that the waitress should have informed her, brought us seltzer water to get the stain out and offered to pay for my dry-cleaning. She then gave me a business card offering to reimburse me for my dry cleaning and two coupons to come back for free dessert. I paid full price for my meal and left with a bad taste in mouth. I don't think I'll be eager to drive an hour and half to visit this restaurant again.
