    We celebrated our anniversary on 7/4. On entrance, we were immediately greeted by the host with an anniversary card and then were offered two glasses of champagne prosecco. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful time in the warm and perfect atmosphere. Thank you!

    Beautiful and historic place, service was 5 stars, however I will not longer be ordering pasta at Il Fornaio, second time in a row it’s mushy as opposed to being Al dente. Other dishes were excellent!

    First off, let me say that the one very bright spot about this restaurant is the outstanding staff. From the moment we walked in to the time we left they were the best. The maître d' was very pleasant, professional and took the time with us as out of towners to seat us, explain things and even chat a bit. He also authorized a free dessert at the end of our meal that was absolutely delish. Our waitress, Emily, was just outstanding. We wanted to chill before ordering and have a couple cocktails and she managed that whole time very well, always checking back to see when we were ready to order. Water glasses never go empty and dirty dishes never sit in front of you because they have bus boys that handle those chores. and are always on the spot. The menu is not inexpensive and has a nice variety although not much in the way of beef for you carnivores. There are a couple beef items on them menu but one was not available when we were there. Cocktails were excellent. We started with the CALAMARETTI FRITTI and it was quite tasty. My wife had the INSALATA DI PERE which she very much enjoyed and I ordered the POLLO AI FUNGHI, a spin on chicken marsala. The only issue with the dish was that the sauce was quite greasy/heavy in my honest opinion and it detracted from the overall finish because after awhile it was hard to keep going. It was tasty but eventually it weighed on you. The Tiramisu which came as a surprise was out of this world. Take my review on my dish with a grain of salt as I am quite the food snob. I would go back and maybe try another dish next time.

    Celebrating my daughter’s birthday at this restaurant- her first time here. A few words about our experience. Our main waiter wasn’t very attentive… after being seated for our table- the wait staff did set out the water and menu which was nice but we waited for almost 40 minutes before any server came by to see if we were ready. No smile, no recommendations or small talk to make it memorable. Came earlier than the reservation so we sat at the bar- it was happy hour time so had drinks and an appetizer which was fine. We then sat at our reserved table- water and menus was fast but we sat there about 40 minutes for a server to get to us. Restaurant wasn’t very busy at 5:45pm. We asked for more cocktails since it was still happy hour but not until the waiter ( came after 40 minutes) then told us in a very stern way- “Happy hour is only at the bar.” He then said, “OK- go get your drink at the bar.” He then just left the table while my husband and son went to get more drinks/wine. When we did get our food, no one came by asking if anyone would like grated cheese which I believe a good restaurant should be aware that in a service oriented restaurant- right away someone usually comes by quickly asking if fresh ground pepper or cheese for your dish. We for all had dishes that would be enhanced with the extra condiment. Finally our next door diners were offered the fresh grated cheese on their dishes -later also, the elder lady diner then pointed to our table saying “I think they would like some too.” H the waiter We since it was SO late, my son and husband already ate all of their dish! Once the waiter came by and instead of addressing everyone at our table- he only leaned over to my son and ask if there is anything he needed and then left not addressing everyone in our party. The manager Ryon came by after my husband pulled him over telling him our experience. He did then said, “We missed the point on our service and he was going to help”

    I had Caesar salad for lunch because it’s usually exceptional. It was terrible. The romaine had been cut up & obviously left refrigerated for a long time. It had a bland, frig taste. No dressing. I had to request dressing. And 2-3 croutons. A huge disappointment.

    Nice place, but keeps getting more and more expensive. Almost $400 w/tip for dinner for 4 people. Now adding 3% for health benefits for the employees. After all that manager was rude to us because stayed until close.

    Caprese salad was amazing and so were the entre`s- portions were large. We sat on the patio. It was very pleasant and relaxing. All of the wait staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. Since when did they stop serving bread...they charge for it now?? Other than that, was a delightful dinner.
