   The view of the Pacific was beautiful at sunset! Typical level of noise for a fairly-busy enclosed patio. Coming from RI, where the food is insanely good... Especially Italian, this food didn't even come close. My Wife's chicken Parm wasn't even hot and pasta was undercooked. My Bolognese was average, but the pasta was also undercooked. The value was terrible (coming from an East coast mindset). Our meal (just the 2 entrees) was $66 before tip. I'd love to take the owner(s) / Chef to RI for some mind-blowing Italian and show them what it's SUPPOSED to taste like.

   We celebrated our anniversary here and came for dinner. We sat at a nice booth and it was large enough that we could sit together. For our appetizer we had the calamari which was lovely. It had rings and tentacles, the breading was very light with right amount of crunch, and the marinara dipping sauce was really good too; savory with a touch of spice. I ordered the lobster ravioli which had a red lobster-sauce, pieces of shrimp, and fresh diced tomato. My husband ordered the branzino with mash potatoes and asparagus. He enjoyed the sauce that accompanied the dish also. Bernardo was our server and he was phenomenal. The price point was a little high but totally worth it in our current dining climate! We had a great time and look forward to our next visit.

   Great waitress and great food. No complaints. We were there for Easter Sunday lunch.

   All the dishes ordered were very good, but especially recommend the linguine mare Chiara which was excellent. Service was a little slow, but busy on a fri night. Reservation recommended. Parking in structure underneath, 1st hour free.

   The four of us had a great time at Il Fornaio. It was our waiter’s first time, and he thoroughly enjoyable. The food was excellent. Would highly recommend.

   Great food and the view is spectacular. I always bring visiting friends from the East Coast here when they visit. Quintessential coastal Southern California.
