Step inside Il Fornaio and take a culinary journey through Italy. Early mornings bring rustic, crisp crusted bread hot from the oven accompanied by the scent of fresh brewed espresso. During lunch and dinner hours, pastas and flavorful sauces simmer while meats and vegetables roast over hot coals. Bottles of wine from small, regional wineries are uncorked to complement the dishes, which have been crafted in the custom of Italy's chefs, bakers and homemakers. Specialties include wood-fired rotisserie and grilled meats, poultry and game; house made pastas; pizzas from an oak wood burning oven; fresh salads and house made soups; a wide variety of desserts; and fresh baked bread made daily from scratch.     I ordered the wide ribbon pasta with Bolognese sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked but found the Bolognese sauce to lack flavor. Portions are small for the price. Service was excellent and Restaurant was well staffed.

    I have long loved Il Fornaio restaurants. This location seems to have slipped a bit in the Quality. I have previously come to expect it wasn’t bad, but it just was not what I previously remembered.

    Our first time! After a big lunch, we went with a lighter dinner of soup and pizza which proved to be just right. Service was very good, and food was excellent with the thin-crust pizzas making the day. The beautiful decor just added to the overall experience.

    Our appetizers (Crispy Calamari and Fradiavola pizza) were quite good. The linguine alla vodka main course was tasty but the lasagna was very bland and mushy. The Tiramisu dessert was very underwhelming and had had no coffee flavor! The Napoleon was a little better but not great. Service was excellent.

    I had been recently for lunch and the food was good so decided to bring my family back for Mother’s Day . However the food was mediocre this time. They were out of the sea bass that my husband really wanted to try but had breaded sea bass so don’t know why they couldn’t just not bread it but maybe it’s pre-breaded. The service was good and the ambiance was also and it’s in a great location with nice view.

    From Mother's Day Special menu, the fish in the specialty dish was overcooked. The mashed potatoes were tasty although they served cold and were the consistency of a thick paste - not light or fluffy. The spinach was the star of this plate. The PAPPARDELLE ALLA NORCINA CON POLLO was too dressed with truffle oil as indicated by the fact that one could not taste anything except the truffles. The chicken was slightly overcooked resulting in a dry meat. It's flavor was cancelled by the truffle oil. Americano coffee was fresh, served hot, and delicious. Dessert 1: NAPOLEONE. This was given to us to make up for the errors in the fish plate. It was not good. The pastry was tough and hard to cut even with a very sharp knife. Dessert 2: Spumoni Gelato. This was delicious. No complaints except that it included scant cherries and pistachios - as though there is a shortage of these items. SERVICE - Our waiter was very kind although not attentive. We interacted with the manager, other waiters, and wait support staff more frequently than we interacted with the waiter.

    The restaurant was not busy . Our server couldn’t be bothered to bring the drinks in a timely manner and got the drink order wrong on top of that. Unprofessional and lazy. Saving grace was the delicious food.
