Generally speaking food was fine. Disappointment with the service and value.
Food is great! As well as the service
Food was really good but service lacked. The view was spectacular which made up for the bad service. Take care of your customers!
The whole experience was ok, it was noisy, i asked for a table next to the window they didnt met my request and they only have 1 type wine of moscato for $50 a bottle which they sell it at target for$10.00. Nah, we are not going back..... food was average.... cant top The Adison Hotel Restaurant
Always great food and excellent service.
Our server was not great. He was not very attentive and we felt left out compared to the other tables. We had to ask for bread several times before it was brought out. Server also tried to get us to order something different each time my wife and I would order our food or dessert, very strange. Other than the restaurant being on the water I would not reccomend.
Food was okay. Seating was terrible. Too busy. Staff took too long. Had reservations didn’t get seated until 25 mins after. What’s the point of making reservations?!
Went with friends for the wife’s birthday. Great food, great service, great time.
best anniversary place ever.
will plan for next year
We were dining at 5:30 on a Saturday evening. We'd asked for as quiet a table as possible. We were shuffled out to the "outdoor seating" area (which is actually enclosed in the wintertime) where there were 2 outdoor heaters on high heat, a BLAZING fireplace - which we were placed directly in front of - and under the ceiling heaters which were also all turned to high. And....we were right next to a very large table of 12 happy "celebrators." It was like a nightmare! Our servers kept changing throughout the meal due to it being a "very busy" night (February 15th). The management seemed utterly surprised by the number of diners there. They were understaffed, and WE were under-served and underwhelmed.
Having said that, the food was quite good. If I ever go back, it won't be on a weekend. It was a pretty unpleasant dining experience, overall, I'm afraid.
Busy Saturday night, was seated on crowded patio, heat lamps were going, sunset & view spectacular. Authentic Italian food was on point, way better than anticipated, lots of staff as service was tremendous. Great all around Valentine's Night.
Everything was great the server was attentive food was delicious. The only part that made us uncomfortable was the guest that were seated next to us kept staring at us making us so uncomfortable and making rude remarks like we shouldn’t belong there but you really can’t control the other guest and no reflection of the restaurant itself.
The customer service was very bad and not respectful
Amazing Service, Excellent experience, the manager Jose was accommodating and professional, over all a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. The food was excellent and so was the wine and view of downtown San Diego.
Food was cheap. Bread and drink selection was good
The food was outstanding! Our wait staff was so kind and always reassured my date and I that our food allergies had been relayed to the kitchen multiple times to ensure our health was not at risk. Excellent service!
The pasta and chicken were bland at best. Service was good except they were slow on refilling our water glasses.
We love Il Fornaio. The food is good, the service and the ambiance are stellar.
$25 is a ridiculous amount of money to charge for a plate of squash ravioli!
Great food always
Come here for Valentines, great ambience and the food was just the right portion. If you check in on yelp you get a free sample of bruschetta which was a plus. The staff was friendly and attentive I would definitely come back here again. Great view of the skyline and great food.
Wonderful restaurant! Service was great, food perfectly prepared. Friendly staff. Delightful dinner, amazing view. Highly recommend.
Today three friends and I ate lunch here to celebrate my birthday. Everything about our experience was wonderful! We requested and received a table by the window. The background music was soft and subtle which created a relaxing and elegant environment. Jorge, our server, was a gem in every way. He was friendly, attentive, accommodating and he went above and beyond to make sure that we were all pleased with the food and with the service. One friend and I shared the grilled salmon entree. It was delicious. My other two friends shared the oven baked sea bass entree and they raved about it also. The birthday dessert was a dark chocolate torte that was created especially for birthdays. Although I rarely eat desserts because I am prediabetic, I ate this one. It was so so good! Today's experience made my birthday feel very special and memorable.
I went there for my anniversary dinner, as I was spending the weekend in Coronado. Reservation was right on time and we were set promptly by a very nice lady. They said it’s right by the window which was gorgeous. Our drinks, salads and soup were relatively good, nothing mind blowing but flavorful. I had high expectations for the pasta dishes that we wanted, however I found out that the item that was listed online that I was most looking forward to having was no longer on the menu, so that was a disappointment. I was so excited to see it on the menu, because I have not had chicken cannelloni and so long, so that was the real reason I booked the reservation. Had to settle for a sausage and cheese ravioli which was OK, but not as good as I imagine the chicken cannelloni was going to be. They brought out a beautiful little dessert for our anniversary, photo opportunities were wonderful. We thank you all for your wonderful hospitality
The seafood appetizer (calamari, shrimp, tuna) is terrific.
Meeting grandkids for a birthday lunch
Amazing view of the city from the patio dining area. Plenty of heaters and the fireplace made it comfortable on a winter evening. Food and service was excellent for a reasonable price.
un'ottima esperienza culinaria. grazie!
Good food with a wonderful view of the bay and San Diego skyline.
Really great service!!!
I have been going to Peohe's for a long time and wanted to try this place. Finally did and so glad we did. They are dog friendly which makes it more inviting and the food and restaurant were just fabulous. The service was great and they treated us and our dogs like royalty. I will definitely be back many times!
Always live I’ll Fornaio, but they don’t have either of my favorite dishes on the menu recently, (butternut squash or lobster ravioli) do that makes me love it less. I really hope they add them back to the menu again soon!
Excellent food and great service!
Fabulous service, great ambiance and really fine food. our guests loved their meals, wine and views.
Food and waiter were wonderful. After appetizers and drinks and salads, we waited 50 minutes for our entrees. Our waiter was pleasant but unapologetic about it. Total time in restaurant was 3&1/2 hours. If this is the norm, we won’t be returning.
We sat sat by the window and had a magnificent view of the water! The food was great, moderately priced, wait staff okay. Drinks and Italian beer good as well. Went as part of my 70th birthday getaway in Coronado and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Will go back next time we are in Coronado.
We love dining here- the view is beautiful!
We had terrible service. The place was empty but our waiter hardly paid us attention. He didn’t ask if we wanted drinks or an appetizer. He didn’t introduce himself or tell us about the specials. No grated cheese or pepper on pasta. The salmon my daughter and I ordered was cold, portion minuscule, and skin still on. It didn’t taste fresh either. My other daughter had the pasta. Same thing, small cold portion! This place has really gone downhill. I’ve been going here for over 20 years but never again!
