Il Capriccio serves a constantly changing Northern Italian menu featuring local products with an award winning Italian wine and Grappa list. Though long considered a local secret, Il Capriccio has been the number one Northern Italian restaurant in Zagat's for the past seven years. The wine list has been featured in Decanter, Sante, Wine & Spirits and Stuff. The same menu is served in the Bar. We like to serve great food and great wine in a comfortable setting. For peace of mind in Covid time, our three brand new, state-of-the art, Mitsubishi air handlers employ MERV Level 13 filtration, just one step down from an operating theatre. We also have a patio for al fresco dining, reservable by phone only, weather dependent.

    Il Capriccio offers a number of options for private parties. Our Lombardy and Romagna private dining rooms seat 10-14 guests each. Sicily semi-private dining room seats 34 and Tuscany seats 30; combined they seat 64. We normally reserve private parties in Sicily and Tuscany on weekday evenings only.

                                                        We always love our special evenings out at Il Capriccio. The food was outstanding, we tried two amazing rosés, and our server and the wine steward took wonderful care of us.

                                                        Superb meal - including venison, sole, cod and steak! A lovely atmosphere that inspired long and happy conversation with good friends and celebration of one of our birthdays. Kind, gracious service by wonderful staff. BRAVO!!!!

                                                        One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years. Food serving was well paced, and waitstaff were extremely doting without being overbearing. It was crystal clear to me that the culinary staff know what they’re doing as it was some of the best food I’d ever eaten. Would and will return in a heartbeat.

                                                        Calamari thin but tough & uneven sizing of beans & sausage made an ugly plate. Burnt garlic ruined the mussels. Decent sole paired with incredibly bland vegetables. Ravioli filling was good but pasta far too thick. Service is very good, ambience very staid.
