This restaurant is CLOSED ! They have not suspended their services with Open Table 😡
This restaurant is closed and OpenTable let me make a reservation without letting me know it was shut down.
They have gone out of business. Do not bother booking. Very sad to see them leave.
The restaurant was closed and when we called no one answered we looked on google and it said that the place was permanently closed. This was such a disappointment
The place has closed down. Not sure why you allowed me to make a reservation there.
How was Ikigai? I couldn't tell you because it was closed even though I was able to book a reservation for our anniversary on open table. We arrived on time to a closed door with lights out. Very disappointing.
The kitchen was being repaired and we never got to eat. The restaurant called us 5 minutes before the 5 of us were all supposed to be there. Really unprofessional for a place to do this. Could have called 90 minutes before the reservation.
Horrible experience. Unbeknownst to our group the restaurant was scheduled to close their doors for business. The food inventory was nearly completely depleted. The server, although attentive, sold us on the remaining scraps which were mediocre at best and terrible at worst. They charged full price which even if the food was good was way overpriced.
Chef David did a wonderful job taking care of us. We drove all the way from Idaho simply to dine at Ikagai. The food came promptly and was delicious. SLC is very lucky to have such a talented chef and staff who work diligently to provide an amazing dining experience in Utah.
Went to Ikigai prior to a Jazz game and sat at the bar. The quality of the fish was the best I have had in Salt Lake City. The brussels sprouts and soft shell crab buns were also outstanding. Service was efficient and friendly. The Chef was extremely gracious as we chatted with him while dining. We had an hour to get to the game and were able to enjoy 8 different items from the menu with plenty of time to spare. I can't wait to go back and enjoy a more leisurely dinner.
