Great meal from start to finish. Thank you!
I’m trying to be objective about this review as to the times we live in now. We arrived and were immediately seated. Waitress was very welcoming. Ordered from the Thanksgiving menu. Two of us had the salmon which was very good the others had the turkey which was terrible. Sides were cold and very skimpy portions. The manager greeted us while we were eating and was very nice. My main complaint is that we felt very rushed and the waitress brought the check and we were still eating and I had to remind her that we had desert coming. Been going to IIIForks for around 3 years for Thanksgiving but I’m afraid this will be our last. I know times are tough and they just moved into this new location but we were a little disappointed compared to the previous years.
Excellent Thanksgiving Dinner experience...pricey, but the food was superb. We sat in the Bar area (4 stars) but the Main Dining Room would have been 5. Pace of the service was a little uneven (started out rushed, then got a little too slow), but my beverage was never empty. Server was polite and efficient, though her face covering did not always cover her nose (!). I would absolutely dine here again, and would recommend.
It’s not the same experience. Three Forks plates are now plain. No piano music. Food was not piping hot. Quality and quantity was down. My portion of corn was barely three bites. Mash potatoes barely 4 bites. Carrots were cold and burnt. Adult kids commented later food quality was not what we have had in the past. Been making Three Forks Thanksgiving our family tradition for 7 years. Hoping after Covid it can return to its previous quality.
A little family celebration time together!
We celebrated our 50th anniversary there. We had been to the old location and always enjoyed it. But we like the née location better. It’s more of an intimate setting. Our food was great as always, and the service was great . I highly recommend III Forks for anyone wanting great food in a more intimate setting.
Our server was terrific!
Our server Kelly was great as well as her helper V.
Great ambiance and delicious food!! Highly recommend
A couple of very bad items occurred at this location. After my wife check-in she and I went to the bar for a drink as two people had left creating a vacancy. As we started to sit the host came running into the bar screaming to tell us that area was taken and we needed to move back. The whole thing was really not needed - he could have handled with a light conversation but the screaming and demeaning style put us both off quite a bit.
While we discussed the merits of staying vs. leaving he informed us that our table was ready. The booth we were seated was fine however the restaurant sat a party of about 30 people in the same room creating a defining noise level. We asked to be moved and that was accommodated to a different room that was extremely cold. I wondered why the establishment did not seat the party of 30 in that room so everyone could have a more enjoyable dinner.
I was not thrilled with the cafe approach of mash potatoes, snap peas and cream corn and would preferred a baked potato but that was not an option. Food was fine and waitress was functional - it did take about 15 minutes and a couple of prompts to get my wife her wine. I was also quite confused the steak knife had the name "Silver Fox" engraved and have since learned they are co-owned.
I'll not be back to III Forks - the price point is high for a Texas Road House experience. The host really needs to be replaced - that alone is more than enough to keep me from going back.
David, I am so sorry to hear that your dining experience was not enjoyable. I appreciate your feedback and I am available to discuss your concerns anytime at your convenience. Sincerely, Launa Wilkerson Proprietor III Forks Steakhouse 972-267-1776
Great food and service!!! Price was high but oh well!!!!
Me and my wife really enjoyed our experience at III Forks in Frisco. We have visited the restaurant in Dallas & are so happy they moved to our city. The experience was phenomenal. Loved the food so much so that we actually finished our entree which is atypically for us. Our favorite was that they include all the sides with the meal on the plate. Will definitely be back for more!
I appreciate you taking the time to leave us some positive feedback! I appreciate you! We hope to see you again soon! Kindest Regards, Launa Wilkerson Proprietor III Forks Steakhouse 972-267-1776
I have been to III Forks (old location) three times and loved it. Sadly, I was very disappointed this time. Our server was terrible. He never checked on us. My steak was overcooked. I tried to eat the “hamburger” (supposed to be steak) but finally sent it back after flagging down another server (he was great) because our server never checked on us. The steak was significantly better the second time which I greatly appreciated. The sides that came with the steak were— meh— fine. In the past, I remembered their amazing cream of corn but I wasn’t impressed by any of the sides this time. They were room temp and nothing special. The wine I chose was also terrible. That could have been my fault, but I’ve never had a bad Pinot Noir from Napa or a bad wine from a nice restaurant in the past. My husband tried it and said “Don’t feel like you need to finish that. It’s awful!” We went to Nick & Sam’s (Dallas) a few weeks ago and the food and service was outstanding. It was a frustrating and expensive date night and, sadly, I don’t intend to dine here again.
Our server Charlie was great and very attentive. I only gave 3 stars for food because there was a problem with the expediting of the food. Our sides came after our entrees and they were cold. Melissa was amazing! Because of the pandemic, they typically passed around tomato and green onions were modified. I asked Melissa if about the green onions, they were chopped instead of being whole. I was obviously disappointed, she said, "Let me see what I can do." She came back to our table with a few whole green onions, which made my meal and experience!
I appreciate your feedback. I apologize that your experience was not perfect! Yes, Charlie and Melissa are two of our all stars on our team! Please let me know when you dine with us again, so I can make sure everything is perfect for you. Kindest Regards, Launa Wilkerson Proprietor III Forks Steakhouse 972-267-1776
Great food and service. I miss the old location that had live music, but glad they are still open!
As a 24 year veteran of the USAF, we dined with you on Veterans Day. We live in Bent Tree North and have wanted to do so since you began offering the Veteran's Day special but we both always had to work. The Dinner experience was outstanding with amazing food and an exceptional waiter. We are obviously a little disappointed that you have moved further away from us but completely understand the circumstances. Well done and thank you!!

Thanks for your kind words! We love our Veterans! Kindest Regards, Launa Wilkerson Proprietor III Forks Steakhouse 972-267-1776
Fantastic experience: Food done time perfection. Service flawless.
We were fortunate to be offered the Veterans Day complimentary meal. The new III Forks is much smaller than the original one on the tollway. The atmosphere was a bit different. All else was good. The manager came by our table and visited with us for a while. Very friendly person who we enjoyed visiting.
I've never been disappointed at III Forks. The new smaller location was much quieter than the old location. Food and service are exceptional.
The best. Thanks for allowing us a wonder anniversay!
Probably the best meal I ve ever had. Read about the steak Parmesan on TV CHANNEL 4 and called for a table immediately. Not disappointed Very delicious taste and quality of veggie sides was so tasty. Just couldn t find anything wrong Service was excellent such a nice place to dine. Will definitely go back And to top it off chef Chris came out to say hello
The service, as always was great. Very attentive without being intrusive. The Social Distancing, was practically non existent. There was a baby (sorry, but a germ factory) less than 2 feet from me. I understand that this location is smaller than the place on the tollway, but this is dangerous & I don’t know if it’s compliant with state or CDC guidelines at all. BUT the biggest disappointment was the ubiquitous amounts of onions in almost everything I ordered. I’ve never had a crab cake that was a 3-1 ratio of onions to crab meat! I’ve never seen so many onions! Then the mashed potatoes I love were also LOADED with onions. Some people, like me, HATE onions. The smell, how bad they make my breath smell. A little can be understandable for flavoring, but this was overpowering! Please consider offering a non-onion version of these foods, but if not that, at least warn diners how thick they’re going to be in your food. The staff handled it all promptly, but I didn’t want to make my husband wait for a different order to be prepared, & I was really looking forward to a crab cake & mashed potatoes, so I ended up eating bread & corn instead. Please. Back away from the onion cake with a little bit of crab in it. Please.
Wonderful service food and dinner. We celebrated my Husband’s Birthday...very nice!!
It was nice. The restaurant was somewhat to dark. Our waitress was super professional and nice.
Service was great! Felt safe during this pandemic. All the workers were wearing masks properly and being safe
Our anniversary and we had an enjoyable evening.
Moose is best server in the business! Food was amazing
We always enjoy our dining experience at Three Forks and enjoyed our first time in the new location.
III Forks in the new location is just not the same. Quality, service and ambience has really fallen off. The snap peas were inedible. You had to ask for gravy and tomatoes. Lobster Bisque not even on menu, but available upon request. They were using Silver Fox restaurant knives. Not a big deal if everything was on par with the previous location but it isn't even close and the knives just put an exclamation on the experience. We have been visiting the original location for 20 years. We are very disappointed with the change and degradation in overall experience. I know this year has been devastating for busines and we want support our favorite restaurants but it is just not the same, not even close. It is sad and I don't think we'll be back
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your experience. I am sorry we did not live up to the high standards that we hold ourselves to, and I assure you that we still do strive to exceed expectations with every guest. Even though we are in a new location, the level of service and the quality of the food should be just as good as you remember it. I will take this feedback and ensure that service continues to be as stellar as it has in the past.
I was extremely impressed with the entire experience. This was the first visit to the new location.
It was celebrating our anniversary and I wanted it to be enjoyable. As I said, it far and away passed my expectations.
I would heartily recommend this place for any occasion.
The food was absolutely amazing, the service was quick, attentive and friendly! My husband and I can’t wait to come back and next time we’re definitely getting the bread pudding! Highly recommended!
Great food. Wonderful to see the managers again! would recommend to friends and neighbors.
Great food good service and atmosphere! We will be back!
Great birthday experience! Great place for a special dinner!
Wine is ok. Did not know about happy hour bites. We came early. Enjoyed chatting with the bartender, Scott and John. Disappointed with the Three Forks Salad. Tasted great but u do not get much for 12.00. Steak was great. Chicken steak average. Will not order it again. Will return again though. We like the place. A bit out dated and no piano. Miss that.
Delicious dining at the bar.
So glad III Forks came to Frisco. Great as always
The waiter Moose was so sweet He gave my friend a take home bone for her dog.
We had a great experience.
