Very Nice....well worth it
Woukd come back again when in Austin
It was just ok for me. Certainly not worth the price. The mushrooms were rubbery and the mashed potatoes were served cold. I wasn’t a fan of the bread either. I will be sticking with Fleming’s! Sorry but I won’t be back!!
As usual -- great food and great service.
David, Edgar and the hostess were very good.
Food was great. Restaurant was under construction however so ambiance was off but both food and service were excellent.
Made a reservation and was seated promptly. Server was very nice and explained they menu and specials for the night. Cocktails and wine pairings were top notch! Was to be compensated for a bottle of still water (one glass was sent back after first pour, for having something foreign around the rim. This did not happen, but overall everything from food and the service was excellent.
Not sure about the new open floor plan but the food and staff are still great.
Tried the dry aged steaks and they were amazing. Presentation was perfect.
Thanks, those are our favorites as well!
Everything was great. Cocktails were delicious. Appetizer, we had bone marrow was perfect. And the steaks were cooked to perfection.
Thanks so much!
Mick provided great service and menu advice, as always.
Very noisy, unprofessional staff, terrible ambience it was like a mess hall. Steaks were fatty! Poor value.
Bathrooms are right where the food comes out!
Kurt, Thank you for the feedback. We are working to resolve some of these issues with our remodel. I hope we have the opportunity to deliver a great experience to you in the future.
Table was in a poor location (near the reception area), my martini was expensive and mostly water, food was fine but nothing special given the very high price, and the waiter was courteous but in a fawning, not sincere way.
Sorry for the table. We are making adjustments as we finish up our remodel.
Wow. Felt special and appreciated.
Spent a chunk of money - but the experience was fantastic.
Go here if you appreciate experience and food.
Thanks for the review!
Steak was ordered rare+ (between rare and medium rare) which an establishment like this can oblige. My steak came out almost past medium. Not worth the money IMO. If you’re paying that much for a steak, it needs to be perfectly cooked. Sending it back makes most diners, like myself, uncomfortable. There are better steaks at better prices elsewhere. Overall ambiance and service was decent though.
Steak was great as were the sides. The Caesar was way to salty and the calamari was overcooked
Thanks for the feedback. We will review these items with our chef and kitchen team and make improvements!
It was fine.
The meal for 2 with wine and no dessert and tip came to $350. The steak was overcooked. The fish was super dry. Lots of little things that made the experience just kinda "meh". The server was a nice guy. My rating would probably change if the meal were $100 y'know.
Thanks for the review and the candid opinion. We will review this as a team and see where we can increase value and make improvements. Much appreciated!
Wonderful ambiance and excellent food. What more can you ask for? How about a nice bottle of wine, and finish off the evening with a smooth cognac?! III Forks is the place for all the above plus more. My wife and I had one of the best meals ever here. We highly recommend!
Excellent birthday dinner for my son. This is an upscale restaurant with outstanding service, valet parking and several separate rooms where families can enjoy great meals. Steaks were perfectly cooked, as were the sea bass, salmon and scallops, and my grand-daughter's shrimp. Excellent bottle of La Fou wine from the Terra Alta region of Spain. The creamed corn and lobster mac and cheese are amazing. We come here often for family occasions and are never disappointed with the food. Although not a complaint, the wine list, in my opinion, lacked several excellent wine types. I would have liked to have seen an Albarino (Martin Codax), a Pinot Grigio (Santa Margharita) and a Garnacha (Las Rocas) all Spanish or Italian wines and usually available at most upscale restaurants. I thought they were available here in the past. Don't mean to be picky, but with a Spanish wife, having lived in Spain and Italy, and visiting Spain every year I am partial to Spanish and Italian wines.
Thanks! We have a full section of our wine list dedicated to Spanish Wines, I hope you come and try some soon!
Great time! Excellent food! Lovely setting!
Thanks for the review!
All we were with raved about their food!
Service great! Nice restaurant!
As usual, the steak is best in town. I thought the mashed potatoes were a bit bland this time. Was not a big fan of the flash fried parmesan broccoli. Drinks were perfect.
Make no mistake, we go for the steak and this is our go-to place.
Thanks so much!
Too much noise in the dining area from the bar -- please finish the renovations quickly.
Zoomie, Thanks for the review. Don't worry, we are expecting to wrap up in the next couple of weeks!
Steak was dry and small. If I had not been with a party, I would have sent it back.
Our sincerest apologies. We are always more than happy to correct any meal that is not to your satisfaction. We do greatly appreciate the feedback and we will look to improve. Hosts of large parties may also choose to offer our full menu for any size group, in addition to our set menus. We have a number of large steaks that I think you may enjoy when you return. Thanks again!
Solid food but a bit “chainy.” Prime ribeye was under-salted. By-the-glass wines didn’t fit well. Solid overall.
Hal, Thank you for the candid feedback and for taking the time to leave a review.
The service was the best service I have ever had at a restaurant. Water was never empty, waiter was extremely attentive, and manager comes by frequently as well. The steak here really is amazing and their crab is just as good. Only one thing was the chocolate cake was a letdown and tasted cheap, but bread pudding was great. Still 10/10 recommend this place.
Thanks for a great review!
It was a great night! The food was amazing. One of the best steaks I’ve had all year. The service was top notch! Definitely coming back!
Thank you so much!
Took forever (over 2 hours), steak had great flavor but was the toughest filet I've ever had
Jason, I'm sorry to hear that. Please accept our apologies. We hope we can make it up to you.
Food and service - excellent
Would have preferred to sit in a darker, cozier room instead of the back, blue, heavily lighted room
We went here on the recommendation of a friend when we were visiting Austin. Everything was amazing from start to finish. Our waiter David was one of the best waiters we have ever had and he made the evening memorable. The food was cooked perfectly and everything we ordered was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and would definitely return next time we are in Austin.
Amazing from beginning to end , as always . Does not disappoint .
Always enjoying eating at III Forks during visits in Austin
Awful service. Awful food. Absolutely ridiculous

Tried a few top end restaurants in Austin....this was by far the best
Exelaint food ,great waiter
Would recommend to every one
The food and ambiance was amazing, and the service was impeccable.
It was a very nice and memorable evening. The food was good and the service excellent. There could be more accent lighting (not brighter just up a little). Value was comparable to other similar restaurants.
Thanks for the review and the comments.
Everything was fantastic. First time dining here and we will be back. The 12 oz filet was perfect, the service was exceptional.
My wife and I have made it a tradition to eat at III Forks before a concert at ACL. Always a wonderful experience!
Let me preface this by stating I have visited steakhouses all over the world. My standards are simple don't bs me regarding the quality of your steak and cook it to the requested temp (med rare). Our total bill was around $600 for 5 people which is in the normal range (on the cheaper side). I would normally order wagyu but with only three options, I went with an Angus NY bone in. The steak itself was decent quality, worth the $55 special. Apps came out, we ordered two orders of scallops(only 3 per order); 1/2 dozen oysters; lamb meatballs (3); and the french onion soup. The apps and sides were served family style. Steaks were all ordered to be medium rare. Two steaks came out medium well, the rest well done. The rarest part of my steak was next to the bone the rest was gray. Management was quick to resolve the issue by offering to cook another steak, we didn't want to wait the 45 minutes we had already waited for the steaks again, so the manager gave us dessert on the house, one of everything. The pecan cake was amazing. I would easily pay $20 a slice for the pecan cake. Some other things that disrupted my experience include: we had to wait on refills; a football game was on at the bar (located in a corner of the dining room) where the waiters were watching it, that was loud; there is no dress code for staff or guests (host staff were out of uniform); while visiting the restroom located next to the waiter station/ expedition area I heard the waiters talking about a guest being deported; and lastly when asking a specific question about the quality of the steak the waiter didn't have an answer. Overall the experience left me feeling like I had overpaid for the dinner. I have had better experiences at Texas Roadhouse and Outback. I compare it to an overpriced Outback. It has left a bad impression on steakhouses in Austin for me. I hope this review helps.
We certainly appreciate the feedback. I'm sorry we were not able to make corrections the night you dined with us. We thank you for taking the time to leave a review, and we will work diligently to meet your expectations in the future.
