Icebox Cafe Hallandale Beach opened in 2020, bringing art, performance, and an exciting new restaurant to the heart of the arts and entertainment district. This vibrant, multifunctional space has a lot to offer.

Depending on your mood, or the Hallandale Beach weather, unwind outdoors in our lush greenhouse or on the sleek and modern plaza. If you prefer indoors, relax over a meal in our main dining room. Our menu of American classics – comfort food with a dash of international flavor – covers lunch, brunch, and dinner.

In our main space, installations from local artists line the walls and entertainers take the stage almost every night. Performers cross cultures and genres, from reggae to cabaret, traditional Cuban to country music, jazz, rock and more. In the greenhouse, a tropical garden steals the show. It’s a lovely space for a party or corporate event and combines with other areas for large gatherings.

    Cool vibe and really good food! Tried the price fixed menu, which included an app, entrée, and choice of any of their delicious deserts for $36. I had the shrimp appetizer; three shrimp in a delicious sauce with bread for dipping. I usually don’t eat bread but wanted to sop up all the extra sauce. The scallops entrée included three very large scallops, cooked perfectly. Wine was yummy, and our waiter Jessie was awesome

    My only grievance was hearing Christmas music through my whole meal. I know t’is the season, but those songs get irritating after one or two songs

    I was excited to go but was not so pleased once I was served. Pretty much mediocre food. The waffles tasted like it was sprinkled with sugar and they were crunchy. Chicken was seasoned well. A bit too dark but it was tasty. The macchiato was also okay. Otherwise the atmosphere was very pretty. Destiny was quite pleasant and helpful.

    Ordered the chicken and waffles. Waffles weren’t made by the restaurant. Store bought waffle. I asked them and they said they did not make them fresh. For $30 for a frozen waffle and a piece of chicken breast. Complained about it & was still charged even though I didn’t eat it. Won’t go back.

    The Caesar salad is a joke a little portion for $17 (no protein). The place close at 10pm we have our reservation at 7pm the place was empty and at 9pm first they turned off the light, then turned off the Music. Then put on the music and put on all the light. during the last hour they tried to make us The place is so cute bigger but the price are to expensive for the food they bring I ddidn’t recommend

    We had dinner at the Ice Box Cafe the other night. I had seen so many nice reviews however we really were not impressed by the food. It was pretty average in our opinion especially for the price. Maybe the food is better for brunch and or lunch. The server was not but not friendly in the least bit and felt like we were just another table of customers sad to say.

    Absolutely recommend coming here! We had the most wonderful family brunch. Making a reservation was easy and that was a surprise as we were 9 guests. We had the opportunity to be seated in the greenhouse and it was spectacular. Every team member was sweet and kind to us. The meal was delicious. The birthday boy was gifted a carrot cake and we tried each chocolate cake. Carrot cake wins in my heart!! Osly was a great server! Come here!

    Excellent choices for the health conscious without sacrificing flavor. Wonderful service and a great vibes. Very spacious restaurant but feels intimate and plenty of parking too. Highly recommended.

    Beautiful venue well with a visit! Outdoor seating and indoor A/C seating we’re comfortable - the greenhouse was fun but a little stuffy on a humid night. Great burgers and the prix fix was a good deal. Try the tres leches cake - not traditional but very tasty!!

    Everything was great but as always the food comes out and it is never hot. This happened to my friend’s food as well. It happens every single time. We don’t need it scorching hot but it is cold. The food tasted delicious. We were there for brunch. The DJ was great.

    I love Ice Box Cafe in Hallandale. I've eaten there many times and it has always been a wonderful experience: tasty food, generous portions, strong drinks and a huge selection of desserts. Their summer pre-fixed dinner menu is a great deal. The weekend brunch is very busy, noisy and festive - a different experience from quiet calm dinners. I like their outside covered area with tropical plants, too. You can pick different vibes for different occasions.

    Loved the experience at Icebox Hallandale for brunch! the food and drink menu we endless, lots of healthy and delicious options. Then an amazing dessert menu. we had the carrot cake with an espresso martini. So good! Coming back for there Miami spice dinner menu that is supposed to be really good too!

    Had a great evening! We were a party of 5 and each got something different and loved what we ordered. My fav is what I ordered the chicken curry soooooo good. Desserts were on point my fav the carrot cake! There was great live music happening which really added to the atmosphere. A few people I was with thought it was too loud and could have been turned down a tad but I was fine with it. I’m going back for sure!

    I truly enjoy your place but here are the reasons for not giving five stars on every item. The food is very good and we really like the ambience, decor and different seating areas. Also, while the service was a little slow yesterday we really appreciated the effort because wait staff were wonderful and apologetic and the manager even came over to check on us. However, we will never return when you have music bcuz it was so loud we had to scream and still couldn’t hear, and most had sore throats after we left. And, we were in the back by bathrooms! I’ll never understand why places play such loud music, it could have been at half the level and everyone would have heard and yet could have also enjoyed each others company.

    Waited a while for anyone to serve us. Steak overdone. Had to wait 15 minutes for another. My husband was finished eating when I received my corrected dinner. Mojitos tasted like limeades. Not bad, just not a mojito. Ended up comping my meal but the experience was what it was.

    Went for brunch and had so much fun! My friend had no idea I was surprising her for her birthday and my waiter did a great job with the surprise. The Dj is so lively and he's so much fun! Definitely coming back

    Very aesthetically appealing however if you want to sit in greenhouse patio, make sure it’s cool outside! Food was good and live DJ set the vibe. Great place off the beaten path.

    The branzino was delicious but not very hot. The eggplant rollatini was also served lukewarm. The ambiance was great with a casual vibe and always some form of live music. I’ve done Sunday brunch here with a large group and we all enjoyed it highly. We will be coming back.

    Rachael is an amazing server. Ask for her. The only negative is that they do not have normal kid food. If you have a picky eater, your child won't have anything to eat.
