This was my birthday dinner and I have been wanting to try Hyde Park for sometime. The appetizers and sides were very good. I ordered the dry aged bone in ribeye as my entree. I requested medium rare with extra char. When it came to the table it was gorgeous, then I cut into it. It was medium. I was visited by two separate managers the second of which questioned my assertion that my steak was overcooked. I had to ask him if medium rare was indeed red with a cool center, which he then affirmed, I simply stated that my steak was not that. They took my plate, with my steak and all of my sides. I sat and watched my party eat for a bit and a new steak was brought out with none of my sides that had been whisked away. I then scrounged for whatever remaining sides I could get since the rest of the table was almost finished. My new steak was again charred perfectly, but this time it was blue on the inside and a bit much. I struggled through it until our lead server, who was very good by the way, observed my steak and insisted that he take it to the kitchen to fire it again. It came back finally cooked correctly, so I finished it off . I have been to many prime steak houses in my time as it is my favorite food, I was not impressed with this beef, I have had much better. Overall it was a very subpar experience for a special occasion which of course was an expensive meal. Although the steak was improperly cooked, I would say the biggest disappointment was the way in which the management team conducted their business, very unprofessional.

Jon and team did a great job serving our table for my wife's birthday. Nice surprise card signed by the staff and birthday desert. Food was fabulous, staff was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Can't believe we've lived here 4 years and haven't visited. Definitely going back. Well done!

everything was fine but 2 things bothered me.. 1. made a reservation for 5.30 thinking I could maybe do combo happy hour and dinner in the lounge but seating was limited. host said if we didn't take our table, we'd lose the reservation. they were busy but this came across as inflexible and un-accommodating. 2. I ordered dinner on the early dining menu. I can't eat mashed potatoes and asked if I could get a different side (same price) but was told no substitutions on early dining menu. I guess I expect and appreciate more flexibility and accommodating the guest. otherwise, everything was fine.

This is an excellent restaurant for celebrating a birthday, anniversary, etc. The ocean views are wonderful, but the food and service are tremendous. I had the New York Strip, while my wife had the Chilean Sea Bass. Her fish, and my steak were exquisite, along with our family style sides of bacon brussel sprouts and garlic whipped potatoes. Our host Josh was on top of his game, and the manager Sean was equally accommodating. I highly recommend Hyde Park Prime - Daytona Beach, FL for an amazing dining experience.
