We had a lovely evening. My husband had the chicken and waffles special which he enjoyed and was a great deal. I had cream of broccoli soup which was the best I’ve ever had and the hearts of palms salad which was also delicious. Service was great and the view spectacular. We will be back again before it’s time to go home.

Gorgeous views in a lovely breezy setting. Service is excellent and food is very good. The menu is small but with good choices. My hamburger was a bit undercooked yet tasty. Everyone else loved their choices. The coffee is delicious and the local beer very nice. Lava cake is also delicious. I have been there twice and will keep going there as long as it stays so fabulous. As a Kauai resident, this is my new go-to place for lunch in LIHUE.

People were very nice but service seemed a little slow, even for Hawaii. But in their defense a large party was seated right before us. The chicken however was way too salty, ceviche was good, and I enjoyed my kimchi fried rice loco moco style hence the overall 4 star rating. Amazing views and got to see the planes land.

The waiter Eddy was exactly what we expected, and as advertised, he provided the expert quality service we came a great distance for.
The Most important factor was the presence of Aloha (graciousness for one discription) which is absent outside of Hawaiian islands generally, and not as common in the island service industry these days because of several obvious reasons.
If i didnt live NS Kauai, I would be there several times a week with my friends and family. As it is I’m going for at least once a week!
I must try another dish. The tacos were ’ono’, perfect texture and taste!

Enjoyed dinner with for nephew’s birthday and Friend from Honolulu. Service could be better (I’m in hospitality too) ... nothing bad but just okay...small portions for food.. tasted great but pricey for the amount given...drinks were pricey also... beet salad and Lilo koi dessert were highlights!

WHEN YOU EAT HERE YOU ARE PAYING FOR A GREAT VIEW AND GOOD SERVICE. IF YOU ARE THE TYPE THAT GOES TO A RESTAURANT FOR GOOD FOOD AND WANT TO ACTUALLY FILL YOUR BELLY THEN THIS ISN'T FOR YOU. MY WIFE HAD THE STEAK AND I HAD THE SEARED AHI. PRICE ON MENU WAS LISTED "MP" (MARKET PRICE) SO WE HAD TO ASK. THE AHI WAS $38 AND THE STEAK WAS $52. THE STEAK WAS ABOUT 5 INCHES LONG AND 3 INCHES WIDE AND MAYBE 3/4 INCH THICK. THE AHI WAS 3 PIECES ALL SAME SIZE IN A CIRCULAR SHAPE AROUND 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND JUST AS TALL. BESIDE THAT WE EACH HAD A SCOOP OF PURPLE SWEET POTATO/ TARO EQUIVALENT TO MASH POTATOES. THE FOOD WAS GOOD BUT NO BETTER THAN IF YOU ATE IN A PLACE 3X CHEAPER. THE COMPLAINT I HAVE IS THE PRICE WE PAID FOR WHAT LITTLE FOOD WE GOT. SO IF YOU'RE A KARDASHIAN GO FOR IT. THE REST OF US MIGHT HEAD TO HAMURAS.

What a secret treasure for Kauai. Let’s begin with the most spectacular view. Sitting on top of the ocean cliff looking over an infinity pool to the lighthouse and beyond. Then the fabulous service! Then the special of the day. Fresh fish tacos with pineapple margaritas. Price was right. $8 each. Food great! Pokeguac over the top Then the best of all desserts: Chocolate lava cake. Let’s not forget the bean bag toss while the kids waited. And to top it off: a fire pit with comfy seating to watch the stars pop out of the night sky and the happy planes fly in! A++*

Our server MATT gave us excellent service. He was very confident, competent, personable and professional. He had all the attributes I would expect if it were my own restaurant.

Every dish was superb and the portions were reasonable. So often in nicer restaurants the emphasis is on artsy presentation of a very tiny edible and they forget we are actually hungry.

We appreciated the nightly specials and in fact that is what drew us there in the first place! We will return. One person in our party was so pleased she is about to book her 3rd reservation .

It’s a 4 star place but they force the gratuity on you as a “service charge” so it gets 2 stars.

Warning: If you don't like paying a lot of money for an outstanding view and mediocre food, don't come here. I ordered the local steak, a 12 oz. NY strip, which was market price. I don't remember our server telling me the price when I ordered, but how bad could it be? I ordered medium-rare, but it came out medium-well. Our server asked if she should send it back, but I tried to be nice and ate it anyway (plus I was too hungry to wait for another steak while my wife ate her dinner). When I got the bill, I discovered the price was $52! By the way, all I got with the steak was a small size of potatoes - no veg, and no salad. The 2 of the 1-2 punch was when the server told me that there was an automatic 18% service charge. What!?! An automatic 18% service charge, for just 2 people, without telling me beforehand, for an overdone $52 steak! Needless to say, we're never going back. By the way, the views are amazing, overlooking the ocean and Kalapaki Bay. But I'm not willing to pay that kind of money just for a view. Next time I'll sit in the lobby, enjoy the view, and then go somewhere else for dinner.

Wonderful venue! Our favorite food was the stellar ceviche. The kale caesar was also excellent. My husband loved his 7-spice chicken. I appreciated the abundant fresh veggies from Hualani's organic garden that were in my local Kauai shrimp stir fry, but did not care for the shrimp which were hard. I had had Kauai shrimp the night before at a different restaurant and they were huge and succulent. So I was a bit disappointed. Our guest of honor had an eggplant soup that was too thick for her, so she ate just a small portion of it. She ordered the side of mushrooms after first ordering the whole fish that sounded delicious. Our server, who was very friendly and professional, returned to our table just minutes after describing the fish dish to say that the only 2 servings had already been ordered. Our guest of honor then ordered the pork dish and was told they did not have it that evening. So she was a bit disappointed, but we all thoroughly enjoyed sharing the ceviche, kale caesar -- and the awesome chocolate lava cake that topped off our dinner!

This is a gem. Entrance is understated elegance and class. Staff are all attentive and polite. Cocktails are amazing and atmosphere is outstanding. Wife enjoyed the farm to table special and she loved the chilled cucumber soup and coconut-mint foam. Main course Ono fish with eggplant and Swiss chard. Dessert was chocolate avocado mousse with Mexican pears. I had the soba noodles that my wife ate most of it - they were that good. My Mon Chong fish was cooked perfectly. Coffee was delicious. I already told my friends about this place and look forward to dining her in the future when we return. The property is stunning. The opportunity to purchase a home as well as stay and eat here often is most appealing.
