It was my boyfriends 50th and it was a bittersweet time with COVID lucky for us they were open although at low capacity. Everyone, everything from the food to the drinks and show were top notch. Our bartender, waiter and entertainers were beyond personable and accommodating. You all made the night so special and we will never forget. The first place we will be back to when we return to Nashville!
Once we found the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Great ambiance for a romantic dinner, dinner with friends, and/or business dinner. We went for the Sunday brunch, and the food was incredible. Not only the food itself, but the selections were awesome for a Sunday brunch - oysters on the half shell, peel and eat shrimp, prime rib, eggs Benedict, waffles, etc... We went to the 2:00pm show and were surprised by the level of talent. Great experience.
We really enjoyed our visit. Several people that had interacted with the staff via phone had commented that they were not friendly and I found this to be the case also. On site, everyone was great!
Definitely a one of a kind experience that we highly recommend! We live in Memphis and there’s nothing like it. An interactive dinner for the evening and the magicians were great! Food and drinks were wonderful too! The brussel sprouts and mac n cheese are amazing as sides!
Great food. Decorations were fun and interesting. Magic was a blast. Might be the best complete date night in Nashville.
One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Was a full experience with so much more than just food.
The food here is way overpriced and you get better tasting steak at Texas Roadhouse. The only thing that justified the quality vs price of the food was the ticket to enter the magic show.
HOC is a place you must visit at least once in your life. The ambiance is amazing- it’s such a unique experience. The food is top notch and the service was great. Can’t wait to come back!
This was hands-down the BEST experience my husband and I have had!! We went for our 10 year anniversary and have already started asking other couples to go back with us ASAP. It was an experience unlike any other and we are already itching to go back.
Great food and a fun experience
The filet is fantastic. Truly a magical night. You will spend a few hours here. Dinner, and then the show. Well worth the price!
We went during the week so it was not busy. Food was delicious and the up-close magic was great.
Food was poor and when they brought my medium rare filet out it was butterflied and over cooked the first time. This was after another meal was already returned for being too tough and it was supposed to be a pork chop cooked medium. Not so much.
Mysterious and magical... bunch buffet was very good would have been nice to have some dessert choices
Everything was Great
We LOVED this dining experience!! Thurston the piano ghost was great and the food was absolutely perfect! The show was fantastic and all the wait staff were super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this for an evening out.
Took business clients to dinner at HOC. They loved it. Food was awesome the service was great and the atmosphere is amazing and unique. The magic after dinner kept everyone entertained and they were still talking about HOC how much fun they had the next day
Great service, great food, and great entertainment!
Server could not find salt and pepper shakers until my food was cold. The buffet had a very limited selection. But what was there did taste good
Totally enjoyed our experience!
Fun experience for our family!! We enjoyed the buffet and the magicians were great with the kids!
The only reservation that was available was at 9pm, unfortunately the only show we could see was the 11pm show. We were assured we would be able to see others as they do not stop until midnight however, at 11:45 the rest of the Magicians has left for the evening. Needs to be more structured and understand the timing better. Also for the pricing of the food I expected better service! The show we attended was fantastic just the timing, service, and food need improvement.
I think House of Cards is a place you need to experience once. The speakeasy atmosphere is very neat, however, I felt crowded. The ceilings are very low, the tables are close, and the crowd in House of Cards reflected the busy crowd up top on Broadway. It was so loud that I had a hard time hearing my party speak. The food was very good, however, I felt I had enjoyed a $30 dollar steak more than the $50 dollar steak I paid for. The service was great and the staff was really kind. The one thing that amazed me that I wished I had seen more of was the magic. I was there for 3 hours and only saw about 10 mins worth of in house magic and then I saw the 30 minute show provided with your meal. The magic was wonderful. I just felt it was so crowded I couldn't enjoy or see any of it. I would pay 50 dollars just to watch magic for an hour and nothing else. I may have had a poorer experience because I went on a Saturday night and it may have potential to amaze. I just don't think I will be going back for the reasons stated, anytime soon.
It's a one-of-a-kind experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to spend an evening at a place unlike anywhere else.
The ambience was great but I did not enjoy being cramped into a tiny table where my spouse couldn’t even sit across from me. The tables were so close together I could hear EVERY detail of the conversation happening at the table nearest us. The food was ok but overpriced for the quality. Our server interaction was a little awkward, he lingered at the table at odd times which was strange. All around it was a fun time but we won’t be back.
A must visit if you are in the area! 5 stars for everything!
My husband and I brought my parents here when they were in town. They absolutely LOVED it, as did we. The ambience is fantastic. It is like a speakeasy with rich, dark furnishing. It is a lively scene. Their drink selection is fantastic. I live Cabernet S. and their House of Cards brand is great! They have a ton of bottle selections as well.
There are magicians set up around the dining room. They are separated enough that they do not disturb your dining experience, but close enough to pop over and catch a show. You can wander back-and-forth on your table and the magicians throughout the evening. They have actual show in the theater four times a night. We happen to see John George and he was amazing! even after the show, you can head to the bar, grab another drink, and then watch magicians for the rest of the night throughout the dining room.
The show and magicians around the dining room are all included in your dinner price. Some of the entrées may seem a little pricey, however when you factor in that you really are getting dinner and a show, it’s a great deal!
We would highly recommend this experience.
It’s was a magical evening. Fantastic food. Best peppercorn crusted filet ever! The Martinis rocked. The entertainment/magic shows were off the charts. We had the best time ever.
Really great experience with fun magic tricks and great ambiance! Great for a special treat!
Our waiter Taylor was awesome and bartender Jessica was the best. Can’t wait to go again.
Worth every dollar. It’s a whole experience.
Amazing, absolutely amazing!!! We visited from Orlando and I’ve been recommending the place to everyone. Our sever was amazing! I feel bad because I can’t remember his name but we were there on 2/26 at 6:30. After the show, Joey the manager talked to us. He’s the F-Ing man! Great talking to him about everything! Long story short, this is the place to go.
I had wanted to go for a long time. We saw that they had a special Mardi Gras menu, so we had to go! It was more than I expected and we enjoyed the night out. One suggestion, when you go, take some friends. Everything's better with friends! And the magic show was out of this world! Have a great time!
Second time here, and overall a great experience. One of the “mentalists” was pretty rude to our crowd about an hour before closing, but that’s the only complaint of the night.
We love the mysterious setting and location. The entire experience is amazing.
The food is wonderful, the drinks are spectacular, and the shows are mindblowing. All in an atmosphere unlike anything else in Nashville. Definitely a magical evening everytime!
Atmosphere and entertainment was amazing. Food was mediocre. Most of our food was overcooked. For the cost and the menu description we were excited to go but was unimpressed.
