House of Blues Restaurant & Bar offers made-from-scratch, Southern-inspired cooking, including iconic dishes such as New Orleans jambalaya & gumbo, Lowcountry shrimp & grits, house-smoked Carolina pulled-pork barbeque, Memphis-style baby back ribs, and Delta fried chicken. The House of Blues bar is dedicated to showcasing a unique blend of classic and contemporary specialty cocktails, spirits & craft beer.

We were sat right away at the time of our reservation. Our waiter was not particularly attentive but there was a waitress running around, seemingly trying to pick up his slack. It wasn’t very busy but he didn’t have time to check on us, or bring us the check. We ordered gator bites, the bbq bacon burger, and Cajun shrimp tacos - all of the items we got were delicious. They also have a good happy hour.

Food was above average. People who work here very friendly. I used to work at a few restaurants. Our waitress Brittany was the best server we've ever seen. Total environment was laid back.
Only thing that could've made it better would be to see some of the concert going on at the time.

Went for blues feel and got hip hop blasting loud music. Wait staff were good but there was no blues feel and no blues music. Why call yourself house of blues??

Overall unimpressive. I had high expectations due to name recognition. The restaurant is basically burgers, salads and sandwiches. Could not hear the performer in the back of the restaurant, and I went specifically to hear the performer.

This is our second time dining at HOB before a show, and we’ve always had a great experience! The food is delicious! Great selection of Southern eats, fantastic service and cozy and casual atmosphere. Reasonable prices for a quality dinner. Love the bluesy background music, and decor!

This was likely the worst dining experience I ever had. First of all, everything is so spicy here that even the water was sharp. We asked clearly in advance if we could have food with no pepper or sharp spices - and went so far as to order a plain grilled chicken sandwich as a stand-by. It came topped with inedible, spicy coleslaw and pickle slices that nearly killed my wife they were so sharp (she couldn’t stop choking for five minutes.) The beans had a kick, the meat had a kick, basically everything had a kick. OK, maybe that’s your thing, but we asked in advance if we could get the food without the spice and were assured that we could. Then, we sat with soft drinks empty for most of the meal as the server was flirting with one of the other customers. In addition, there was a live musician that we got to listen to at the same time the restaurant was playing recorded music over its PA – a real cacophony preventing relaxing dining. Then, when they finally turned-off the recorded music the musician took more time tuning guitars and chatting up who he was flirting with than playing any music. To top the night off, our server brought over a very hot dessert plate and handed it to us without warning – so our souvenirs from the evening were heartburn, headaches and a burnt palm. All this at double what we should have paid (even with a discount.) AVOID THIS DUMP – TOURIST TRAP!

The food was great we had chicken and shrimp pasta The Shrimp Po Boy and the sliced smoked brisket. The servers were very attentive and the cocktails were very good.

Our server, the kitchen and bar staff combined to make this one of the best dining experiences we have had at the several House of Blues that we have dined.
