Shrimp and Grits
our riff on the classic. sautéed shrimp in chipotle cream sauce with chives, on a crispy cotija cheese grit cake
a crisp, golden quarter bird served with our bourbon butter, slaw and roasted garlic mashed potatoes
sautéed shrimp in an Abita Amber beer reduction sauce, served over jalapeño-cheese cornbread
Thank you for the wonderful service at your restaurant prior to the Scarypoolparty concert for our large group. And THANK YOU for having such a wonderful and talented artist - Scarypoolparty- at your venue!!
The baby back ribs we ordered were tough. We sent them back to order poboys but was still charged for the ribs. We didn’t realize it until leaving the restaurant. Not happy
Surprising low key, nice. I thought it would be busier for dinner on a Friday.
Great music, wait staff great, nice building, food not so great, bland, precooked food.
Arrived at 7:45 for a late dinner
Was served a beer by 7:50
Ordered food at 7:55
Ordered second beer at 8:20
Couple next too me who ordered after me received their food (same as dish I ordered) 8:35
Inquire about food at 8:50. Told it just the dish just just longer.
Pay for my crappy 2 light beers ($15.15) and leave without any food. 8:55
Enjoyed drinks and dinner and live band! Great experience
We had a great time, music was great , service was just ok, prices of food and drink could be better. If you ever have time to go to the Gospel Brunch and that's awesome we went to the one in Vegas. The atmosphere is awesome.
Always great food & drinks. Our waitress was bit busy but the hostess, Lacy, stepped in & was AMAZING!
Shot out to Lacy!!!
Thanks so much! We look forward to having you dine with us again soon.
Fried chicken was not seasoned in anything. Is was awful.
Ribs were so tough we couldn’t eat.
2 sides were “unavailable” = potatoes and baked beans...but we were not told that until the meal came.
Manager explained they ran out...but we were the first people in the door and served. He then said “due to shortages we can’t get certain sides”.
We had already parked and were attending a concert there so we chose just to hang around.
Only ate cornbread and Mac and Cheese. The table next to us sent their food back and chose not to re-order anything (we didn’t know them).
We came for the Go Ask Alice cover band and had a wonderful time. Great attentive wait staff!
Thanks so much, Pam! We look forward to having you dine with us again soon. Keep an eye on our calendar, we are looking to start a monthly program that involves tribute band for a unplugged experience similar to the one you were at.
Great waitress! She was very attentive to our drinks.
First time back in a while obviously. Food was surprisingly good. We had salmon, salads and apps. Salmon was fresh, portions good for the slightly inflated prices, but still quite good.
Went to see a friend's band play, so we stayed a while. Drink prices high, but gotta pay for the entertainment! Lol.
Only minor issue was that spirit selection was quite low...not many options, but probably since bands are just coming back.
Food was great! I got shrimp as an add on for like $6 and dang there was a dozen giant shrimp! Very impressed with the House of Blues.
Thank you James for your review! We have had difficulty getting some products in, but we are doing our best to substitute with equal or better. Our inability to get in jumbo shrimp is your gain! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Service was slow, food took a long time and wasn't what we ordered, Menu is os limited
Loved it !!! The atmosphere was amazing and the whole staff including the manager was great. Oh and the band the Bluez Boyz was the best !!!
My husband and I enjoyed the music the atmosphere and the art throughout the restaurant.
It was our first visit to the HOB. It was great! The food was good and the staff was very helpful and made us feel at home. The band was awesome!! We will most definitely be coming back!!
Great staff that worked to get a great table for the music. Awesome music that night. I think his name was Jake Quillen.
My husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Our waitress shared the information with the band, and they dedicated their entire set to us. The music was great, and the servers were helpful and friendly. It sure was glad to hear live music again.
The live music was great and the food was delicious. This was my husband and I first time going and we really enjoyed the vibe. I did my sister a surprise birthday dinner.
We went to HOB for fun night out with live band. Restaurant empty and were seated right away. However, it took an hour to get one drink and a second hour to get the next. When we went to order from menus handed to is open arrival, we were told they were not serving dinner any longer. It was 830!! Awful service and we left to go eat somewhere else.
Staff, food, music, and ambiance is always perfection!
Loved the band---E-Flat Porch Band rocks! Food was delicious
Sat at our table for 10 minutes and without service. There were servers standing around talking but not one even came to take our drink order. We ended up walking out.
The House of Blues was a great venue. Missing 3 was an outstanding band. I was not impressed that the bar closed shortly after the first set because of too few people in the place. The band and I were not impressed with this call. They already paid for the band so why not keep them playing.
Always amazing !! So glad HOB is open again. So much fun with great food , drinks and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
Great to be back. Food, service and live music were all fantastic!
A great atmosphere for everyone! Good food, great music, and the customer service was over the top. We were there on opening night since closing for COVID, everything was perfect. Thank you to the hostess and the manager for making sure our daughter's bday celebration was a success! The bread pudding was so good! ;)
I loved loved lovedddd this place! The food was incredible, drinks were worth the money & service was great. Also had an awesome band playing, so the free entertainment was nice. We will be returning on our next trip to Dallas.
Made a reservation and arrived on time to see that there were only 4 other diners in the whole place.
There was a young man on stage singing cover songs with an acoustic guitar. He was okay, but I expected more from HOB on a Thursday evening.
Food was good but a little pricey. Staff was very attentive.
Overall, just an “ok” experience.
Good times. Good food. And great service. They do a good job of being in compliance with the CDC standards and keep the place really clean. We felt very safe from the corona virus
Everything was awesome. That was the first time we had been there for any event. Will definitely recommend to my friends.
Nikki Glasser Concert
Made reservations 545
Bar was slow
Food was delayed
Not a good 1st experience
Next concert April 17; considering eating off site
Service took forever and it wasn’t even busy. Waitress disappeared several times. Wrong food was served than what we ordered. Waitress apologized and said she was just tired from working all day and she was ready to go home
Loved the service, friendly
We booked a table at the House of Blues Restaurant prior to our concert. The staff was attentive, and the ambiance is fantastic. Live music on the restaurant stage started at about 6:30pm. The food was good, and we opted for a variety of menu options - apps and burgers/sandwiches. Our issue was with the mixed drinks. We went from a watered-down marg to a mojito with straight alcohol and finally, a disappointing hurricane. These are relatively standard cocktails, but they were awful. Despite the fun appearances of the restaurant's cocktails, I would stick with wine or beer.
Second time we have made reservations before a show and it didn’t get better with age. Food was mediocre at best, service was slow and “working a double”, drink was weak and a bottle of Michelob Ultra was $8.
Food was very good, but could have been better if our waitress would have got our request right. She was new I believe. The atmosphere was great. Priced a little high, I would go back.
Great menu selection. A little pricey but you get plenty of food and it is high quality. Great service & friendly staff. Short walk to our hotel and arena.
We happened to be going to a concert there, and decided to grab dinner beforehand. Neat place, but the food was not anything we’d come back for. My salmon was a bit overcooked, and my husband didn’t care at all for the BBQ sandwich he ordered.
