I like this Dallas HOB the best, having gone to many HOBs in California. The staff are very nice and warm and friendly unlike California, where they are like rigid, cold cops (I support the police, btw). I have recommended Dallas HOB to friends and we have gone quite a few times. I like the complimentary tickets because it gives me incentive to go to the restaurant first and partake of the yummy hand-crafted berry cocktails and excellent fish sandwich. The waitress actually asked me if I wanted more ketchup for my fries instead of me having to flag her down for more ketchup. Yes, I'm a fan of Dallas HOB. Oh, and LOVE the Foundation Room for after shows. The decor looks like my furniture. :D
The staff was amazing! Other than that not a great experience.
When we arrived it took around about 20 mins to valet ( $15), no other close, real parking options. They had cancelled the music, and turned it into a sports bar for a cowboys game but didn’t send out notice of the change of venue. I paid around 50 dollars for 1 drink, over salted salmon, and macaroni that tasted like box macaroni. It took almost 45 mins for the valet to bring us our car back.
Even if I wanted to watch the game they placed us where neither of us could see but even after the game they didn’t play music.
I was severely disappointed.
The only thing I can give them is since we were one of 3 tables in the restaurant that were occupied the service was amazing, almost to the point of please stop sending 5 people to check on us. However, they were all super friendly so I tipped on quality of service. I can’t imagine ever going back unless it’s someone else’s choice.
Such a fun environment! The service was great, the food was a bit pricey but so good and drinks were wonderful! We will definitely be returning ASAP!
Excellent the service was great! I came in right on my scheduled reservation.
The food was excellent and so was the service! Great atmosphere!!
Not quite worth the value which was evidenced by the lack of a crowd on the night of a Mavs/Lakers game. The wait staff was perfect and my lower rating is not at all a reflection of same. Understand it's uptown and there is a premium associated with that, but $16 for a double Tito's rivals airport prices. Food was OK, not great. Could have taken my son somewhere and had a couple steaks for the price we paid out the door.
Service was attentive and suggestions were great. Appreciated all .
Good food, good service, live music, and they offer a discount when you come to eat before the concert.
Drinks were good. Fried chicken platter is fabulous!
My server was good but the food was horrible and my drinks were terrible. However we did enjoy the concert.
Next time we will have food and drinks before we come to a show
Reliable venue. Great location for hotel walk also.
We got the apetizers with the entrees...
The back ribs were very dry, tasteless like carton board
The Cajun pasta were just ok
Hopefully the waitress was good and funny
I really enjoyed my dining experience. The brisket sandwich I would recommend and the service was great.
House of Blues offers a unique and vibrant setting with exceptional service (Danielle) and great food. The environment with the eclectic décor and live music and personable service really make the experience.
The food and vibe were excellent! I ordered voodoo shrimp and drinks. We were there for concert later in the evening. I had an amazing time at both the restaurant and concert!
We had fun
Really wanted to like this place - first time to visit. We could not hear each other while sitting at a table for 2. Staff was very attentive and friendly but the food was awful. We ordered the chicken fried steak and roasted veggies. I am not exaggerating when I say the "steak" was black and about is chewy and thick as jerky. The veggies were very cold and we had to send them back. Would not go there ever again to eat, but the wine and beer were good.
Valet parking was great. Aylesa and Patrick were very attentive to our needs. They made sure we made it to the show on time and we got the pass the line passes which worked for us. The food was outstanding. Be sure and try thr bread pudding. It is to die for. It is a good venue for anything plus easy to get on and off I 35.
Brisket nachos were incredible!!! Cant' wait to go back again.
great venue in Dallas for food drinks dancing music, came here twice it was so good!!
Staff were helpful and so friendly and the food was excellent (also had steak twice too!!)
would highly recommend as a must see venue with a fantastic music venue underneath where
we saw 2 gigs.
a hidden gem,
thanks for looking after us.
The food is great but the Bread Pudding is incredible, not to be missed! And they have wonderful coffee. One of our favorite places now!
Great food, service and huge venue with music for everyone. Very friendly atmosphere not an expensive night out either. Will definitely be back before we leave Dallas.
Service, food, and atmosphere was superb. My guest and I were taken promptly to our seats and they had our concert tickets waiting.
We ate here before our show and both got the steak salad, which was delicious. The skillet cookie was a great dessert! Our waitress was adorable and very friendly. We will definitely come back next time we see a show here!
We ate here before a show. Everyone we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. The food and drinks came out quickly and were delicious. We will definitely return.
We only ate there to take advantage of the Pass The Line option. Food service was slow. Manager came out to tell us that the kitchen was backed up. Burgers did not arrive as we had ordered, we ate them as delivered as we were in a hurry to get to the concert inside the venue. Based on what I normally spend for a meal out with my wife at a casual restaurant, such as Chuy's, they were about double the cost for the same quality food.
Terrible service. We went there prior to an event at AAC and left disappointed and hungry. The waitress was condescending and blah about her approach. Other than the 1K points I will probably never return to this restaurant again. Never again.
First of all how am I suppose to feel with an email from you guys saying how was my reservation if you cancelled on me .I am not happy at all with this Restaurant made reservations ahead of time , a group and myself were excited to finally get a reservation, trying to get in was a big fail in the past and to finally get a reservation for 12/07/18 we were all excited some of us wanted to get souvenirs since we travel from California on such a short weekend trip and for it to be Cancelled for somebody who made last minute reservations because they were important and they were paying for the event as the female who called me stated, what our money wasn't good enough without even knowing us. I don't think I will recommend anyone who travels.
I HAVE BEEN TRYING FOR THE PAST 6 YEARS TO GO TO HOUSE OF BLUES I MADE A RESERVATION 2 MONTHS IN ADVANCE AND MY RESERVATION WAS CANCELLED AND THEN I GET A EMAIL SAYING I STILL HAD MY RESERVATION WHAT A JOKE AND THEN YOU SEND ME HOW WAS MY EXPERIENCE IT WAS RIDICULOUS I HAVE NEVER EVER BEEN ABLE TO GO WHAT A JOKE !!!
Extremely slow service.
Great atmosphere! Great food! Our waitress was fantastic! Music was great! The show after was great!
Flatbread was burned and the toppings very dried out. Service was fine but since we were literally one of only three tables in the restaurant, we waited a long time to be greeted (after being sat) and getting water/tea refills should have been much easier.
Finally talked hubby into going to House of Blues after 28 years. We decided to go family style Smokehouse. Now everyone has different tastes in BBQ but they did a helluva job smoking it. Brisket was a little too fatty for my tastes, but hubby chowed down. There is a spicy Texas BBQ sauce, a honey mustard, and a Memphis sauce. I am Memphis blues and bbq through and through. Cornbread is devine and service was superb! The live band tonight was One Night Stand and it was a perfect mix! We were close to the stage so it was loud. Hopefully hubby lets us come more often!
Very dining experience but it took too long to get the car fro m the valet.
House of Blues (HOB) is a cool venue. Ambiance is robust. Live music is a definite bonus. The hostess (Lacey) and our server (Rosa) were courteous, kind, and professional. Food was good - nice presentation , temperature and taste.
Caveat emptor - if you're buying one of the "meal tickets" associated with one of the shows at the Foundation Room you have to use the entire amount ($40 ea.) any unused portion is non-refundable and cannot be given to the server as a gratuity- WTH? Otherwise, HOB is a must visit at least once; if for no other reason than the novelty of the space.
Good inside help, loud environment, some mediocre food. Real problem is valet parking, could use a revamp with some real intelligence to improve it. Right now, looks like a place just winging it. Would go back for music, drinks, but not the food and definitely park somewhere else.
The food was great, but a bit pricey for what you get. Service was good, but kind of slow.
We waited an hour despite the fact that we had a “reservation”. When we finally did get to eat, the portions were very skimpy. You don’t get a lot of food for your money. We were all still hungry after our “meal”.
Food was excellent. My issues were that there was no valet (as advertised) and that there was some kind of High School Showcase that was preventing our group from being able to have a decent conversation. The manager and staff were every helpful but if I had know that this was going on I would have gone elsewhere.
We loved our first time at House of Blues.. I had the fried chicken and it was the bomb!! The atmosphere is great and we enjoyed the drinks..the service was ok. The waitress was very friendly and helpful but didn’t check in with us for refills. It wasn’t that busy.
We enjoyed the music as well while dining. I give it an4 and we will go back!!
