We offer a specialist yakitori menu at dinner - skewers of free-range, slow-reared chicken over hot charcoal on our custom-made hibachi - as well as classic izakaya dishes, including miso black cod and tempura, accompanied by a curated selection of wines, Japanese sakes and whiskies.

Our signature beak-to-tail menu features 17 Yakitori cuts. This set is available at dinner time and on weekdays only. It would require 2 working days' advance booking, and a 50% deposit. To book this set, please email info@hotori.co.uk or leave us a message on OpenTable.

Please note we have a different menus for lunch and dinner. Last orders is 9pm for dinner services. We do everything we can to manage the smoke from our hibachi. At busy times, the restaurant can occasionally get smoky. If that is a problem, please let your server know so they can move your table and put your items in the cloakroom.

                                                                        Having booked a table for two, we were shown to two seats at the counter looking into the open kitchen. Initially skeptical, we had a fantastic dining experience. The food, ambience, etc were excellent and we really enjoyed watching the chefs at work - such a contrast from the Bear series. I’d add the seats at the counter were not the usual high stills but rather very comfortable chairs as per the rest of the restaurant. A very enjoyable experience. Thank you

                                                                        Fantastic food - and the set menus are incredible value for how good they are. It's also surprisingly easy to get a table - definitely coming back here often. Only thing I would change is that it felt like the food was sometimes rested for a few minutes too long - but not a big deal.

                                                                        The room was extremely smoky which ruined the experience. The skewers were delicious, although slightly repetitive after a while. The other dishes were fine, but not memorable (the black cod was particularly bland)

                                                                        Overall I really liked Hotori. The concept, ambiance and quality is very high. The quality of the food is very high. The only question I would raise is value for money. £15 for 4 tempura prawns is very high. Yakatori is outstanding but again £7 for a very small skewer is a lot. That said it’s a great place.

                                                                        Delicious celebration of all things chicken! If you like juicy and crispy then this is the place for you! Very reasonable wine list too and host was extremely affable and charming! Will be coming back!
