Fun times and always a good meal. Love the live music and the fun crowd!
Lovely restaurant with a couple of great choices for my vegan friend. Service was excellent. We sat outside which was just perfect. You had a view the mountains which is always spectacular. Chips, salsa, guac was excellent as were the fish tacos. Would definitely recommend.
Unfortunately most of our main courses were not hot
We came for thanksgiving prix fix three course dinner and it was terrific My wife had turkey and I had prime rib and they were both delicious. Can’t wait to return for regular menu.
We have eaten here a couple of times. Food is consistently good. It was very busy ( night before Thanksgiving ) so the service was chaotic. We had our bottle of wine almost finished before our meal came.
Very slow service; out of an entree food not very special for the cost.
Well drinks subpar, food good but served cool, ambiance very good, music some nights fantastic, others not so good.
So disappointing; from the outside looking in, it looks fabulous however once inside the experience was beyond disappointing.
The food was horrible plus it took over 1/2 hr to get our food which we could not eat.
The music was so loud you couldn’t talk to.
We will not be back and we will not recommend to others.
The choice of music was ridiculous for a dinner crowd - my friends couldn’t wait to get away from the noise of this terrible garage band. Def not suitable dinner music !
Never got starter entrée but my wife did, soup is pretty easy to get I thought. the cod entree was basically floating in soup
Love the band that plays on Thursday!
The Cod is to die for, my favorite dish.
The first table we were seated at had trash under it including some dirty Qtips.
The server was pleasant but inattentive. Had to ask for everything (drink refills, salt, etc)
The salads had huge unmanageable pieces of lettuce and the lettuce was limp with some rotted lettuce in it.
Getting bread and butter was an ordeal, but it happened at least. They were out of lemonade for an Arnold Palmer.
All in all not a great experience
Live music is great and appreciated but this sounded more like disco night not dinning appropriate and cant even hear yourself....
Service slow and food came cold !!!
Larkspur is definitely your typical hotel restaurant. The atmosphere just seemed a little off. The food was good but not great. I would eat here if I was looking for an easy spot and I was staying at the hotel but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.
We came for an early dinner while on vacation and we’re glad we did! Scott was our server at the beginning of the meal, filling in for a server who was on a break, and he was delightful. A good sense of humor, attentive and informative. He answered all our questions, and gave advice on a wine selection that was spot on. He’s a definite asset - hold on to him!
Just passable for a restaurant that could be a whole lot more. Staff not up to par. Food just ok. Bumper on car scuffed by valet. Not a real great time. I would not recommend Larkspur as there are many other restaurants in the valley deserving of our patronage.
The food was great and the restaurant is beautiful. We loved the amazing desert pictures that kept changing. Our server was very accommodating and the menu had a lot of shareable options.
I made a reservation with OpenTable and got a confirmation.
When my party of four arrived at the restaurant we found out that Larkspur is closed on Monday and Tuesday nights.
From now on I’ll be making my reservations through restaurants themselves.
Thanks for NOTHING!
Was perfect place to eat as we were staying at the hotel
Loved our outdoor table’s position and ambience. Appetizer, salad and entree menu had tasty and interesting dishes. Dessert menu standard and unexciting. Service pleasant but sometimes slow. Overall, a very favorable evening at a reasonable price and we’ll be back!
Food was terrible. Bread was hard nest was dry. Employee Kevin Bacon was a wonderful worker. Watching him he never stopped working.
Dining room is LOUD when entertainment kicks in. Outdoor tables much better.
My first time at Larkspur.
They were apparently understaffed.
No server approached, so after about 10 minutes, we asked a gal to help us.
The bartender was actually our server, and he was very busy. Both servers were very pleasant.
We both enjoyed meals, though my beet salad was very small, which I didn’t mind, but others may.
We’ll be back for another try.
Love the ambience the food was amazing and what made it even better was the music!
Lunch on patio. Comfortable shaded table away from interior chatter was a good place to enjoy a delicious leisurely lunch.
Great food and good service.
Good vibe! Atmosphere is wonderful, great patio and view of mountains. Food was very good. Calamari was excellent. Service was good but server could have been more friendly and on point.
Our server Scott was very knowledgeable and professional.
Food was great and loved the live music
Sat on the patio and it was a beautiful night. Staff was very friendly and helpful when available. Food was very good, though the banana split special desert was average, at best. The only real concern was with the pace of service and availability of staff. I don't know if they were short staffed, but it was hard to get someone to refill our water or get back to us when we asked a question. As we were not in a rush, it was not a large problem, but if we didn't have as much time, it would have been more of an annoyance. With that said, I will definitely go back.
Great place to hang out, meet friends, and listen to some good music!
Celebrated a birthday. Place wasn’t too busy but service was slow. Drinks are good. Salmon was over cooked. Salads and artichoke were good.
A nice place to eat with good value for the money. The waiter made several recommendations for the dining choices which were very helpful. An enjoyable dinner was had.
I do not eat red meats nor pork and found the menu limiting. There was a rock band playing early in the evening (8:00 pm). The band was good however for dining at the bar the volume was fairly ramped up and it made conversation difficult.
Love this restaurant. Went here a couple weeks ago with my friend and enjoyed it so much that I returned with my husband for his birthday. The salmon and the pork chops are my absolute favorites. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. I will return!!
The staff is genuinely friendly and accommodating. The location is inviting, with an atmosphere that beckons one to stay and enjoy.
Had eaten at this space a couple of years ago and while the food was excellent, the noise level was just atrocious. Went last night with another couple and the redesign and including more noise reducing sound was welcome. The booth was incredibly comfortable as were the surrounding. Wait staff was professional, informative and overall excellent. Had the garlic fries which were pretty amazing. I only wish the rest of the meal was up to that standard. I had the fried chicken which I give a B- largely because it lacked any flavor and even though well cooked, it fell flat. It is served with greens and gravy with ham...the gravy was such an ugly grey and the greens were wilted within an inch of death. We all felt the same; food very average despite the skilled presentation; the filet was a good cut of beef but lacked any character whatsoever. Same with the salmon...adequate but just not up to the price point. Doubt I would eat here again...the food we tried just lacked any distinct flavor profile...though I would come back for the very good cocktails and fries.
I just picked the Larkspur Grill because some friends were out here visiting and it stays open later. Oh my goodness "What a nice discovery!!!" Everything was excellent from the cocktails, the food and live entertainment. I will definitely be returning.
I love the entertainment, service, corn bread and will continue to recommend it to friends and family.
Spent $200 for two people and left hungry (as part of a party of 6). To be fair, I only ordered apps, but I ordered 5. Ordered a burrata salad - it was about $16 and had 3 and 1/2 tomato slices with one scoop of burrata - way overpriced. The sliders were good - that was the only redeeming app. Had a mixed salad and the lettuce was in huge pieces, but was limp and wilted. It was actually gross, which I don't say often in reviews. Finally, I had an artichoke with butter sauce that was some blend of something yellow and something else and it had a consistency of old pudding - lumpy in some places and a little watery in others. Three of us tried it and couldn't figure out what it is. I sent that back and asked for simply melted butter and they sent the same thing back out telling me it was somehow specially prepared and I replied that....well...I just asked for melted butter. I suspect they use some substitute for butter in cooking, which is just gross for a restaurant. Finally, the black pepper truffle fries were the strangest. People, including this restaurant, need to stop the obsession with shoestring fries - they get cold and end up in a lump. So after eating about 15 little shoestring fries, they were cold and I just didn't bother anymore. I originally offered to share with our table of 6, and everyone took some, but didn't go back for more. Ultimately, it was overpriced and the food was (except the mass of cold shoestring fries) small and subpar for any restaurant, much less one trying to be in a certain class of restaurants.
