Great place for a special occasion. The brunch buffet is extensive and terrific! (Only exception, the bloody mary was awful. I switched it for a mimosa and was happy.) The server was sporadically inattentive. The room is BEAUTIFUL.
The two female waitstaff in side room were welcoming, efficient and friendly. Next to the brisket they were the best part of my experience.
Best buffet we’ve ever had . It had it all with great quality and fine service !
Wonderful experience. Great food and drink. Staff was very friendly and professional. Loved the whole experience.
We had a wonderful time and all the food was fantastic as well as the service. We will try to do it again if we come back.
The food was diverse and plentiful, but not outstanding. The service was excellent. What you get for the price is not worth it. We did enjoy seeing the historic hotel. I wish we had chosen to eat at the beachfront restaurant instead.
Perfect. Everything was excellent and so worth it.
A great experience to dine at the iconic Hotel del Coronado Crown Room.
We had an amazing time and it was special for my moms birthday, but definitely can’t afford this very often !
The food was excellent--but that was to be expected due to the price. But, overall, it was worth the money for the experience.
An outstanding experience! Had a great time, service was amazing, and the selection and quality of food was very good!
We have family brunch at the beginning of the year, and this year the family wanted to try Hotel Del and all were happy at all levels and want to return next year for our annual Family Brunch.
Wonderful experience, start to finish. The service was wonderful (thank you Ramsey and Craig) as was the food. This was our second annual visit. Swapping the custom doughnuts for cupcakes is the only complaint we have.
I have never experienced a brunch as fabulous as yours!
Our waitress Yvonne was Great! She helped make my wife’s Birthday special!
We had a wonderful experience! I can't wait to come back, again! It was just simply marvelous!
The food was excellent and the choices of food was awesome!!!
Our brunch was exceptional! We would certainly recommend this Sunday brunch to our friends!
The quality of the food was good, although the seafood was lacking. Need to focus on quality over quantity. Very expensive for the price.
The only attraction is the historical hotel itself, the food is just so so, not worth $99, and service is ok. The room is dim and too many small tables allocated.
Good food. Way over priced!
We go once a year, because my 91 year old aunt likes it. No self parking and valet is $20.00 with validation. Not good value in my opinion.
Our server Ivonne was above and beyond,,,,
An amazing spread of high quality offerings - likely the best I’ve ever seen! We ate for two hours and were unable to sample everything! Highly recommended for special occasions, or for when you want to splurge on a great buffet meal in an historic setting.
An outstanding venue and the food was beautifully displayed. Well worth the money.
Lots of options and different foods to choose from. Great if you want to keep healthy or splurge. I recommend you get there early to beat the crowd.
For $98, it's expensive for lunch but the food quality and variety is very good. This was our 4th time to have the brunch over 10 years. Food quality has not changed which is good.
I would suggest that the king crab legs, one of the more expensive items, be served steamed and whole instead of halved and cooled on ice. Its cold flavor doesn't come out as much as when steamed. I spent as much time removing the crab meat from the halves as I would have had they been whole (would probably save on waste as well). The melted butter is essential, and goes much better with warmed crab legs.
I know most prefer beef/tri-tip and lamb cooked on the rare red side, but I would prefer if some portions of each were cooked through to ensure healthiness. The meats did taste good.
Was a little disappointed the guacamole was served without being mixed with spices and vegetables. It seemed as though it came from a bag and was not fresh.
The deserts were excellent.
The omelet tasted great.
I left a 15% tip for the food quality although service was intermittent. Our used dishes were removed promptly 3 times, but our water glasses were never refilled until I intentionally asked. Even our coffee cups were filled - but no water.
I appreciated the lack of loud music; nice and quiet.
The server Ignacio kept forgetting to bring what he was asked to bring and I kept having to ask other people, but when others asked him for assistance he got their requests handled promptly. Not sure what the issue was but I probably won’t be back again for brunch. The food was okay, not the best brunch I’ve had.
Was down visiting San Diego for the Notre Dame - Navy football game. Our flight back to San Francisco was not until 4:30p, so we decided to drive over to Coronado for brunch at the Del. What a fantastic decision. Brunch was amazing. The number of food stations and the variety of choices was outstanding. I think I made 3 trips before deciding that I could not eat another bite. The bottomless mimosa's were perfect to celebrate Notre Dame's win the previous evening.
Third visit to the Sunday Brunch. Totally uncomfortable, the air conditioning was blowing on us during the entire time, too cold, complained to management but not resolved by the time we left. The waiter even warned us that it would be cold and we were seated there anyway - in the main room furthest from the windows. Silverware on the tables was cold, coffee could not stay warm, surrounding tables were complaining. Also, why have a dress code when it is not enforced? Certainly not business casual, men in hats, jeans, flipflops, undershirts, women similar, not up to the standard anymore for that pricepoint. Had to ask for coffee refills and replacement cutlery. Don’t plan to return.
Charlie our server couldn’t been nicer! Guided through the brunch, making great recommendations. Very knowledgeable about the area as well!
Julio was an awesome server ! This was the perfect brunch for my parents first time in San Diego. Highly recommend!!!
The food was good as usual. I was very disappointed on the service. It seemed like I waited forever just to get a cup of coffee. The waitress kept saying whoops I forgot about you guys. For what they charge for brunch, the service should be a lot better. I will look at other options next time I'm in San Diego.
Deliciosa comida de calidad pero excesivamente caro 5,000 pesos x dos pers desayuno????
The elegant Crown room doesn’t disappoint; the history of the Hotel continues to fascinate and draw people. Get there early and stay as long as you can to savor all the items at the brunch. It is expensive which can be a drawback, but for special events, it is worth it
Amazing brunch with all types of foods and desserts. Well worth the money and would definitely book your reservation early!
Really not worth the price. $211. for brunch eggs, and other foods. I would not go back. Way overpriced.
I took my daughter and granddaughter to brunch, which was awesome! We had a great meal and a great time.
We came to have brunch to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Jim, our waiter, was exceptional. He kept the drinks flowing and made us laugh. Overall, we had a wonderful time. Food was good, the setting amazing and we made some beautiful memories!
Save up for this incredible brunch! Although quite pricey it is worth every penny. Artisan foods, freshly prepared menu items, not your standard warming dish food. From an elaborate seafood bar, to sushi made fresh, authentic tamales and the most to die for desserts, this is the best brunch around.
Beautiful location and lovely hotel. Explore the hotel and grounds but skip brunch, experience was not remotely worth the price tag.
