Expensive but worth it. Many choices, highest quality and excellent service.
Was very disappointed that the historic Crown room (with crown chandeliers) was closed on this day and the brunch was relocated to another plain ballroom in the hotel. This should have been disclosed in advance when my booking was made over a month in advance. Very disappointing and poor planning on the part of the hotel management. Location aside, the service was excellent and responsive and the food was great.
We went strictly for the experience. Our local country club has a better brunch than this one, but the hotel was worth the visit. It is beautiful. The grounds are manicured to a tee, everything about he hotel was lovely. If we ever return to the area, without a doubt, I would stay there, but I would not pay for the brunch the next time.
Lovely time had by all, we were all first timers
This Sunday brunch is in a beautiful room and has great service. Some of the food offerings were really great, some average, some just filler.
We were really shocked when after paying $250 for brunch and tip that they still wanted $20 for a place to park my car.
This was our second time at bunch and it was even better than last time. Great selection of food and everything was delicious!!
Wonderful food, the room and set up was beautiful, and staff was super friendly!
Poor service. Expensive. For over $100 one would expect music.
Good food, great service -- the employees quite seem to love their job. Priced a bit high but I understand it's the Hotel Del. As a result, not an everyday place to go, but great for a special occasion.
Fun family experience when visiting Coronado. Lots of high quality food choices. Awesome atmosphere.
Excellent food and service.
Worth every penny. This will redefine what a dining experience is supposed to be.
Not worth the money. Just a basic brunch with extremely elevated prices. Prime rib was good but the carvers kept pushing the clearly overdone end cuts - did that 3x to me personally. Seafood was “gummy” indicating poor freezing (and maybe re-freezing from last weekend’s buffet). Would NEVER recommend this buffet to anyone.
Servers need to be more attentive. My party sat near the server station we barely got attention from the staff.
Very overpriced at $98 per adult, for approximately 3 plates (main, salad, desserts).
Went for their Sunday Brunch in this historic hotel while on vacation. We had seating at 9:30 when they opened, and I’m so glad we were that early! We received a walk-around tour, and were able to take pictures of the undisturbed food stations. This was a beautiful, upscale yummy brunch.
Can you say amazing! This was my first time at Hotel Del. And it did not disappoint. I came with some friends to help celebrate my birthday. The food was excellent and so was the sparkling wine. Charlie our server made sure we had plenty to drink and even gave us some tips about the food selection. I will definitely be back and will for sure ask for Charlie’s section.
It was our 22nd Anniversary and The Crown was MAGNIFICENT!! Thank You, for having US, MR. & MRS. KEVIN E. TAYLOR MFA.
There are many buffets out there and at a much lower price, but this is definitely an experience worth having. The desserts were really good and the service is outstanding. The best part is that when you’re full to the brim, you can go outside and walk the beach to digest!
Wow. The brunch here has definitely changed. We came here for our anniversary. The ambience is the best part of the brunch. The sashimi was average, the ramen was truly the worst ramen I have ever had. It was not cooked properly, very chewy and doughy. The crab legs were bitter and a bizarre texture; hard and stringy. The desserts were actually not edible. Our server brought over a congratulations plate with desserts on them. The champagne jello was more a melted pixie stick, which I wouldn’t have minded, but it literally hurt my teeth it was so overly sweet. So I got up to get something less sweet...cotton candy!!! Yes!! I was so excited. Stale. Hard on the outside and not fluffy. Just disappointing. Poached eggs were okay over the hash browns though....so sad for such a lovely hotel.
This was our first time to the Hotel Del Coronado and it was fantastic! The hotel was fabulous and the food was abundant and delicious! Will definately come back if we are in San Diego again!
Our server Manuel was outstanding.
Unbeliavable variety and quality however the crab legs not so much. The charm of the room is unbeatable. Really enjoyed it until we got to pay for valet parking. One would think that with the price of brunch some consideration like the $20 fee would be ok. But to charge an additional $10 for 15 minutes over the allocated 2 hour ? Really?
It ruined it!!!!
The Crown Room Bruch at the Hotel del Coronado is fantastic!
Great venue for a special event or birthday or even a lazy Sunday Brunch in a gorgeous historic setting.
First time and very disappointed. The food was not what we expected. The ramen noodles were mushy and doughy. The meat was luke warm, the cheese was always empty. The chimichurri chips were mushy and unchewable. We were really looking forward to our brunch and walked away very disappointed. And the cotton candy machine made it a reality that we were served over priced buffet style food that we could have gotten better from a casino. Bummer!
Lovely brunch, our favorite when we have out of town guests
Had a wonderful birthday celebration. Many interesting kinds of food. Unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary's. Cindy our server was absolutely fantastic!
We had brunch at the Crown Room for my birthday & it was amazing! The food was fantastic and there was a wide variety of selections. The waitstaff was incredible and very attentive. We had a wonderful meal as a family. It was a little pricey and my kids don’t eat that much so next time, I might just make it an “adults only” occasion!
Great Anniversary brunch
Wow super expensive $$$$ but very good. Service was good. The brunch came with all you can drink champagne, mimosas, and or Bloody Mary’s which was a plus! I did not like the Bloody Mary as it was made with beet juice and way too strong. Loved the omelette station, salad bar, cheese and crackers, prime rib, bacon, super creamy mashed potatoes and I tried poke for the first time which was surprisingly good. (I’m not a raw fish or sushi eater) I tried the ramen bar and the broth was good but the noodles were too starchy for my taste. They had sour cream instead of cream cheese near the bagels. Loved the cotton candy and dessert bar all super yum. The room was beautiful loved all the dark wood and crown chandeliers. Would return for another special occasion but it was super expensive!!!
Yes...for a one time, special experience when visiting Coronado Island.
Not worth the money. You can get a much better brunch for $15.00 at the snooze eatery- and that’s really a shame. Very disappointing.
Food was good, but there were long lines and they ran out of items. Service was very good, but it’s not worth $90+ per person.
The best place for brunch in San Diego area, you will have a full variety of options.
It is a must, we recommend it
I loved the Belgian waffles, the poke station and the lamb! Hands down my three favorites. I was however missing the donut bar
Fantastic as always. A bit crowded but it’s August. Food and service are still tops, after coming here for many years.
For nearlyn💲100 per person I thought it had a very limited menu - it is so not worth it so I will not bother next time!
The Crown room brunch is an absolutely wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion! Though pricey, it’s not more than you’d pay if you ordered an appetizer, meal, drinks and dessert at any other fine dining establishment. The Ramen ration was terrific with the chef there friendly and explaining everything to first time ramen eaters. The desserts selections are extraordinary with more than you can imagine in small tasting cups and portions so you can same everything !
The experience was fun, the ballroom is beautiful the food was high quality and very fresh. Each station was managed by fun loving attentive servers.
The buffet is managed to the nines, hot food is hot chilled food was cold :)
Charlie was our waiter, he made the experience memorable, we had a wonderful time,
