The service was very good. It is a beautiful location. Food average.
Thanks for the meal comp! The experience was very traumatic with having a security guard show up at our DOORS at 11:30 pm with waitress hiding in the wings accusing us of “faking” our name when all we did was make the mistake of putting down the wrong room number which we are sure many guests accidentally do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great outdoors patio!
Beautiful setting, delicious food, attentive service, a most enjoyable experience!
We decided to try the restaurant because the website claims world class fine dining ... oh my gosh anything but! Will never eat there again they couldn’t even get a strawberry margarita right. We come to Glenwood every summer and normally eat in town... it was a big mistake to change that! So disappointing!
My husband food was bland not much flavor to his main course as well as the soup
My main course was just ok. The watermelon gazpacho soup was good but could have had more flavor. The watermelon and mint was really delicious. Opinion for vegetarian was very limited especially for a main course for someone like me. Our server was very nice and helpful in accommodating me with my Nut allergy.
We spent our entire meal with out drinks
Only saw our server once
Manager had no control or clue about his floor or guest.
The food was amazing. The truffle fries are delicious.
short staffed, server nice but had to wait while many folks passed us to get seated. Did nt ask if we wanted anoother drink, desert.
They have really steeped up. The food was great (we had the calamari, a steak and the ribs followed by the chocolate tort) service was attentive but not intrusive and I felt safe with the COVID spread prevention policy they have put in place.
Great food, wonderful ambiance and service was good. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening. This is a beautiful hotel, the gem of Glenwood Springs and not to be missed.
The simple salad was the pleasure most unexpected. It was our first dining experience since the Early days of COVID and I was pleased that they were able to offer a setting respectful of social distancing and mask wearing, while still feeling intimate.
Great! Everything went well.
Food was decent. A few screaming kids nearby
We arrived and were seated immediately, however, they were out of menus so we had to wait for that. When we did get menus from the hostess, we didn’t get a waitress over to take our drink orders for 10-15 minutes. They had a Valentine’s Day menu which was 3 courses. The salad was good but the halibut was over cooked to the point of being tough. Then their “creme brûlée” was liquid. When I mentioned this to the manager he said it was the cooks take on “creme brûlée”. Very disappointed in the food especially since it was $58 per person.
The parking situation is unacceptable. I can’t believe a hotel doesn’t provide valet parking.
We went to watch the live music. He is amazing. :)
The wait staff allowed up to take our dinner plates to the lounge to enjoy sitting in front of the fireplace. Very good unique experience and a great ambiance!
The ambiance of the restaurant was great, I loved the booth they sat us in! The server must've been overly busy because the service wasn't great. When she came to greet our table she just asked what we wanted to drink and wasn't very friendly.
The food here is delicious and I love the charm of the old hotel with all the photos. The lobster Mac and cheese was incredible!
New Years Eve dinner was fully anticipated, but fell short mostly because of a lack of servers. We waited to be seated, to receive water, to have order taken and to be served our meal. All of this with far less than a full dining room, which was a surprise. Major kudos to the waitstaff that were working this special evening because they were running to host and accommodate the guests that were there. It certainly was not a lack of effort...it was a lack of serving staff. Again, during our two hour meal, it was not full and had only one large party that was nearly finished when we arrived. For a highly visible hotel and restaurant to be this short-handed seemed totally unacceptable on a major holiday evening. Still sincere thanks to those who reported for duty...they were excellent and the food was good.
We had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year at this restaurant. The food was great and the staff was very accommodating.
Service was extremely slow. Only saw our waitress once - to take out order. She didn’t even bring our food to our table. Breakfast should not be slow, but we waited at least 30 minutes for our food. Plus an additional 15 minutes to get our order taken, and another 15 minutes to remove our plates and receive our bill. Food was good, but the service kind of ruined the experience.
Open Table does not correspond with Hotel Colorado. You cannot make reservations
through OPEN TABLE and OPEN TABLE should not allow reservations to be made. So we
were told when we arrived to find that no reservation was awaiting us.
Then, the dining room was not open and limited staff working.
Food was mediocre and served by a sullen waitress. Bartender is always friendly and
Attendance is down at the Hotel and I can only surmise that if the quality of the food
improved so would the patrons. May Hotel Colorado have a better 2020 as it is a charming
and lovely historical environment. Vacationers should be thronging to this beautiful grand
hotel. The owners are investing hundreds in upgrades and historically revamping the hotel.
I love this hotel and hope that the dining issues/food/cook will improve to support that which
is an icon in the Roaring Fork Valley. Hurrah for Hotel Colorado and shame on Open Table for
not connecting with them.
It was a great disappointment. The decorations were minimal , lighting was like a cafeteria with a limited menus and this was Christmas Eve......
We were pretty disappointed this time. The service and food were extremely slow, and we were the first table to be there. Everything took forever, some of the food was burnt.
Our visit to the restaurant was great. Our server was very good but extremely busy with lots of tables. She managed well and was very friendly and professional.
Was ro be in the dining room but was moved to lounge so more noise but was a good experience overall.
Very nice hotel, the restaurant didn’t blow me away like the hotel but it was still clean and classy. The food was a little bit above average. But I will be coming back just maybe not for breakfast.
Food was above average but the service left a lot to be desired.
When we made the reservation at this historic hotel, we really expected to be in a more formal dining room. Instead, we were surprised to be in the bar/restaurant; therefore, the atmosphere was different from our expectation. Everything else was very good ... the food, the presentation of the food, the servers, etc. Outside the bar of course was the historic charm of this grand hotel.
The restaurant staff was wonderful, especially Faith. Food and drinks well prepared.
Food was delicious, dining on the patio was delightful, and the server Lana was attentive, giving us excellent service.
We had a reservation but still had to wait another 30 minutes to get a table. The staff was friendly but didn’t seem to care that we had even made a reservation.
The food was basic and a little bland, but they did have vegetarian options which I needed. Out of the 2cocktail we ordered, one was just not very good. But the location, wait staff, and ambience was fabulous. And for the price, the food was a good value.
This old hotel has an aura of its own. I recommend it to people to stay there at least once, to relax and enjoy.
Limited menu. Stopped taking reservations.
Food was fine not gourmet.
We had a lovely dinner out in the patio with great music. The service was outstanding as was the setting. The food was very good. We had a memorable evening and will come back
Noise level was disturbing as it was high due to 2 employees sorting silverware and talking right above our table on the porch.
Wait Staff was wonderful. Table was ready on time. Food was wonderful. We had a wonderful family breakfast. The accommodated every request. It was ridiculously good. Very impressed. You should market it more or better.
