Hot Tin Roof
It's a mélange of tastes and fragrances, combining traditional Florida foods with Latin, Caribbean and tropical influences. It's funky, fun, and fresh with a broad range of tastes and sensations. The restaurant features a relaxed elegance with dramatic water and sunset views.
ATTENTION: Please advise that outside seating is limited and typically in high demand. Any request for outside seating cannot be considered a guarantee. We will do our best to honor requests while taking into account when the reservation was made and what is available at the time.

We loved this restaurant. It has a gorgeous view and delicious food. The ambianace and service were awesome! I would highly recommend it and be very happy to return!
Amazing food, beautiful views and wonderful service!!
Outstanding all around! Comparable to Casa Marina & Latitudes as best restaurant in Key West (all of the keys to be exact.)
Perfect location for sunset dinner. Food was underwhelming for the price.
This was the second time we ate dinner here; last August was the first. Everything about the restaurant was much, much better. The service was excellent, each course delivered in a timely manner and the food was wonderful. In addition, the view from the restaurant - overlooking Mallory Square and the water is superb.
Great atmosphere and beautifull view paired with good food/drinks and friendly service. Probably the view to the famous sunset.
My wife and I live in Savannah, GA now and moved there from Chicago. We vacationed in Key West for a week. We have eaten in about every 5 star restaurant known to mankind along with the same caliber of Restaurants across the country.
The Hot Tin Roof is a hidden jewel! Sit on the Deck if you make a reservation early enough, if you can take the heat or if a breeze is blowing. The views are amazing! The inside dining area is beautiful also. Not saying you have too but we made our reservations about a month out, also this is a restaurant you can take your children to.
Our reservation was on time and we were seated promptly. This luxurious dinning experience was located inside The Ocean Key Resort & Spa Hotel; you would never believe this restaurant would be located in the hotel!
I opted for the Grouper my wife the Scallop and Shrimp both prepared to perfection! On a scale of 1-10 this dining experience gets a 10!
Very conveniently located. In most cases you can walk to get there!
It get’s our 5 thumbs up!!!
Beautiful location to view the Key West sunset without the mob at Mallory Square. The menu is excellent as is the service. Our group of 5 shared about 8 of the “small plates” and, with each of us having drink, the total cost was only $35 per person plus tip. REALLY reasonable! Plus the view of the sunset is amazing. I would certainly dine here again.
Overall a good dining experience. Menu has a lot of seafood but their steak and potatoes was really good. We sat outside and had a beautiful sunset view. We were on a balcony just above a bar with live music, which made it very loud. Fine with me, but not for everyone.
We were in Key West for vacation. We have thought about eating at Hot Tin Roof for years. The restaurant is beautiful and you can really see the sunset. The food was good. Our appetizer was not prepared correctly and it took a lot of convincing to correct. Otherwise it was delicious.
The best view, great food and excellent service
Great, enjoyable dinner with great view
Excellent food and ambience. Drinks and meal although not cheap, was less than we expected. Great view! We watched the sun go down from our table. Service was excellent.
This was our first time dining here, and we chose the brunch. We had outside seating - what a view! All three of us enjoyed our small plates that were chosen, and of course, one never goes wrong with unlimited mimosas. My friend really loved the Bloody Mary bar. Our waiter, Peter, was awesome. It may have been the first time, but it won't be the last. I will definitely be back to dine at Hot Tin Roof.
Octopus was amazing, grouper was good but the steak was very tough and the hearts of palm were disappointing. The service and view was great, just had a few misses on the food.
Great menu and the food was tremendous. Very attentive, friendly staff.
Romantic and intimate, this was a perfect place for a date. We were able to get a reservation the same day, and the service was impeccable, with an attentive waiter who understood how to ensure privacy while making us feel totally taken care of. I would very highly recommended this restaurant for a romantic date.
He swordfish was fabulous, the wine list is complementary with a few surprises riches in, and finally the creme brûlée and espresso ended a perfect evening.
It was a spectacular experience all the way around!
Excellent Restaurant Experience - my wife and I were seated promptly and our waiter, Oleg, was an amazing host for our wonderful evening on the balcony. We started with a Sunset Cooler and a Hemingway Daiquiri which were both deliciously refreshing. We followed drinks by sharing the Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad and the Grilled Ciabatta Bread, again both were beautifully prepared and very tasty. For main course, my wife had the Key West Pink Shrimp cocktail and I had the Key West Pink Shrimp and Scallops. The shrimp and scallops were delicious and the marscarpone tasso risotto could have been a meal in itself. We finished off the evening with the Island Pineapple Rum Cake along with a cordial and port while we watched a beautiful sunset. There was a rain shower prior to the sunset, but it just added to the ambiance as we sat on the porch watching the rain. My wife had been here many years ago with her sisters and wanted to come back while we were there and I am so glad we did as it was an excellent experience. Oleg was most knowledgeable regarding the menu and the surrounding area and he made us feel at home during our visit. We would definitely recommend the restaurant for any dining occasion.
Great food. Best view in key west. The live music coming from the bar below was playing the best music. Highly recommend this restaurant as a must.
Like service - 5 stars . Food so-so 4 stars. Location-5
The paella was too small but the key lime pie was the best
It was our 25th anniversary and we asked for a table with a good view of the sunset. This was our 3rd visit. Our table was very disappointing. A booth next to a party of 12 without a view. The service was slow and non-attentive. The food was subpar. Overall a very disappointing. Will not be back
Food was good but pricey. Very noisy from downstairs music.
The restaurant was very noisy and music from a downstairs bar was also intrusive. The waiter told us that the chef would not divide a large salad onto two plates but required us to share it off one plate. Pretty low class if you ask me! All the dishes were brought at once (waiter did not ask the order in which we wanted the food (salad, small dishes, one regular entree) to be brought) and set on the table in a disorganized manner so that dishes (we ordered a number of small plates) were not easy to reach. Very tasty food, decent sized portions, but not worth the price.
Excellent food from appetizers and drinks to dessert! We enjoyed mussels, grouper chowder, lobster mac and cheese, grouper dinner, cheesecake, and coffee. Try the Hot Tin Tini if you like pineapple drinks. All around worth the trip and we would love to go back!
Great food and many small plate options available
The place esa beautiful and they staff was great. But the menu Isabel waaaaay overpriced for what you get. Shrimp cocktails are just 3 shrimps and cost over $20. Octopus plate is just one tentacle for $18.
Althou brekfast was good and big sized at a reasonable price. I would never go back for Dinner
Celebrated our wedding anniversary evening with a lovely dinner. The ambience for outdoor seating was relaxing. We enjoyed watching the various boaters and sunset cruises sail around. Beautiful view of the sun as it sets behind Sunset Key. The hostess set the tone for our evening with her kind words. Our server, Max from the Ukraine, and the wait staff were all very attentive! An experience worth repeating!
Our waiter Ellis was fantastic and our meal was exquisite! We ordered the paella and the grouper each bite was so flavorful. Great view of sunset!
Went here for our 25th Anniversary. Nice setting, great food, a/c was just there and they had a live bad plugged in thru speakers (which was rather loud for a more intimate setting- especially when you are sitting under said speakers!). All in all, it was a good time but would suggest paying attention to some of the finer details.
We had a most enjoyable meal here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I booked it from the UK prior to our visit, we were made to feel very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. Wish we lived nearer!
Went for dinner with my two adult children and had a great experience. I had the appetizer portion of the charred octopus was delicious and I had a side of asparagus with it. My son had the paella my daughter had grouper both excellent. Only negative is the martini cocktail with coconut we didn’t like that but the waiter gave me a glass of wine instead and didn’t charge me!
A most beautiful view over Sunset Island and wonderful food and service!
The food was wonderful. We had asked friends for brunch recommendations and all said the Hot Tin Roof. The pace and portion sizes were great for all of the tastes. The bloody Mary’s were wonderful as well as the mimosas. Will be going back.
A great find! We were looking for a nice, sit down restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Since it was the night we got to Key West, we picked it out online.
Food was fantastic! Waiter, Patrick, recommended the Albondigas Picadillos appetizer which was really good. I’d been told that the Hot Tin Roof Tini was a must...it was made with pineapple vodka. Very good!
I had the Seared Grouper which was a large portion, served with potatoes, a coconut curry, & asparagus. My husband had the bone in NY Strip steak. Both were beautifully served and tasted wonderful.
The best part of the night was the desert!! Since it was our anniversary, the waiter brought us a large piece of Key Lime Pie...my favorite...compliments of the restaurant! Out of this world!!
We are so glad we found this restaurant. I will consider going back next time we visit Key West. Also, it was close to Mallory Square, where all the action is for the sundown!
Stunning top end restaurant with reasonable prices. Zero Duval has to be the coolest address in Key West and the restaurant lives up to it. The wines are good and the food outstanding. Do not miss their crab cake - simply the best I have ever tasted, and their rack of lamb was cooked to perfection.
The only slight downer was the European waiter- his English wasn’t great, and there was no real connection as there so often is with USA staff.
Everything was amazing from the service to the food. We had a great time :)
Terrirific menu with extensive wine list. Hearts of Palm of salad is delicious! Ellie our server was knowledgeable and very attractive.
