Hot Tin Roof
It's a mélange of tastes and fragrances, combining traditional Florida foods with Latin, Caribbean and tropical influences. It's funky, fun, and fresh with a broad range of tastes and sensations. The restaurant features a relaxed elegance with dramatic water and sunset views.
ATTENTION: Please advise that outside seating is limited and typically in high demand. Any request for outside seating cannot be considered a guarantee. We will do our best to honor requests while taking into account when the reservation was made and what is available at the time.
We were celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. The indoor dining area, the tables were rather close to one another, but we didn’t mind. Our waiter was Peter, he was wonderful, very knowledgeable of the menu (especially with my food allergy, he went through everything with me what I could and could not eat).
Our main entree was the tuna, with coconut rice and tostones. It was absolutely delicious but keep in mind the entrees are big enough to share considering we ordered a bottle of wine, two small plates and a soup. All in all we had a wonderful dining experience. The chef was so gracious to treat us to a key lime pie to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you!!! Oh...and don’t forget to treat yourself to the s’mores dessert.
Lovely spot - we had a wonderful dinner at sunset.
I’m a vegetarian and several vegetarian options involved meat
You don't have the best view of the sunset. The restaurant is pretty loud and very dark and dated. Wouldn't rush to go here again. Food was good
I would have given this restaurant one star if it wasn't for the views. Oysters were good but the rest sadly was not. Salad was absolutely saturated in dressing - completely soggy. Mussels (and I always order mussels) were inedible in that strange sauce.
Plus they charge for bread! Who charges for bread?????
Not worth going - not even for the view
Beautiful place for dinner and sunset, wonderful food and great staff.
Great meal and service!
The best food I’ve had in Key West. Still dreaming about that crab cake!
The view was fantastic and service was good. The dinner menu was very limited and I had a very difficult time finding something to order. I ended up ordering the charcuterie as my meal and it was terrible. It had 4 small, hard banquette slices, 3 triangles of cheddar cheese, 2 small wedges of brie, a slice of dry rubbery prosciutto and pepperoni "jam". I have no idea what other than smashed up pepperoni was in it. My husband ordered a steak cooked medium and it was cooked all the way through. The flies came as soon as the food was sat down and we're unbearable. This is the only place in Key West where we've had a problem with flies. We ended up spending $102 for 1 drink each, a garlic bread appetizer, my appetizer meal and my husband's dinner. It was not not worth it.
Made reservations a few hours before and was still able to get outside seating. Great food, one of the best crab cakes I’ve had.
The food and service were remarkable! The view of the sunset over the water was breathtaking. The staff was able to accomodate a table on the balcony immediately. First class dining experience!
What an amazing spot for Sunday brunch! Everything is made to order (2 choices at a time) off of a special menu. Food is top notch and service is amazing! Great ambiance with the ocean view. Unlimited mimosas and bloody Mary’s are also included with the brunch. Highly recommend!
Dinner was delicious. We started with the grilled bread. The short rib was perfect. We also had the trout which was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
Great food, beautiful view, friendly staff made for a great dinner
After what was a fairly disastrous first night in town at One Duval, we almost canceled our plans to visit Hot Tin Roof. We had a discussion that maybe restaurants inside of established resorts isnt the best idea. However, we decided to follow our plans. We arrived at the restaurant about an hour prior to our reservation and were able to snatch a table just outside of the bar at the Sunset Pier (Which sits at the foot of the stairs to Hot Tin Roof. We had a drink and as our reservation time approached, made our way up the stairs. We were seated fairly quickly and our server, Chip, introduced himself and brought out some waters and the wine list. He came back and we placed our order. We then notcied that our table was in a very inconvenient location, it was the closest table to the entrance to the dining room. We noticed a booth had become available and asked to be moved. The hostess obliged and we were promplty moved, almost as our wine was delivered. The table move meant that Chip was no longer our server. I thought that kinda sucked, nut our new server Patrik was very good.
The food at Hot Tin Roof was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Shrimp and Scallops which sat on a bed of Mascarpone Risotto and was topped with a pepper and onion escabeche. Everything on the plate was absolutely delicious. E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G!
Which after our dinner the night before was a huge relief.
Patrik had a key lime pie brought to us as we were celebrating our anniversary - a nice touch.
I honestly cant say enough about how much i enjoyed this expereience.
Beautiful western view; time it right and catch the sunset. Food is excellent although (like all of Key West) it’s not inexpensive, you will have an excellent meal.
When the drinks are good and the food is better, you know you’ve made a good choice. Very happy to have dined here and thoroughly enjoyed the lobster and grilled octopus. I recommend key lime martini and key lime pie here.
We enjoyed our dinner and service. Had too much noise from hostess area and entrance while dining. Overall still had s very nice visit
Amazing food and our waiter, Max, was so friendly and courteous! Great ambiance and the ocean view was breathtaking! We will be back !
Food was wonderful. Wait staff was great. Ambiance was lovely. The girl who was seating was trying to be accommodating to our requests to see the sunset but the manager(I assume) over ruled her and rudely moved our seats because a large party who had a later reservation was going to need our table!!! So rude! And that party DIDN’T show up.
Fabulous! Great ambiance and food.
Absolutely amazing! The view alone is absolutely beautiful, but the food is what made it spectacular. An anniversary I’ll never forget. This will be on my itinerary every time I return to Key West.
We had the grouper chowder with an order of grilled ciabatta bread that was delicious. The tuna tacos are very small, but delicious. Seafood paella was very good with a Florida lobster. I would definitely recommend it while you are in Key West.
Amazing and beautiful place with wonderful food and great service!
El lugar es muy bonito y muy agradable. El problema es el
Tamaño de los platos y su precio. Es completamente ridiculo. Platos tamaño nipón pequeño. Y precios exagerados para lo que dan.
Awesome for sunsets
Outstanding brunch as always, Peter is a great waiter.
The food was insanely good and our service was top notch as I would expect from a place of this price point. I dont mind at all to pay for service and food of that caliber. And the view....
Absolutely wonderful birthday celebration! Thanks for taking care of me!
Awesome night awesome waiter Andrea, awesome cuisine. We started at 7 finished t 10 saw a beautiful Sunset. This was wonderful dining.
Prices were for 5 star...food presentation, portions, and service were 3 star at best...
Restaraunt was 80 degrees at Dinnertime... HOT... many guests were in bathing suits and drunk.. at surrounding tables.. management had no control of the experience.. ruined our Anniversary
The restaurant never seemed to cool off. I asked if they could turn the AC down and they admitted that because of all the windows and the doors being opened to serve the outside dining that the AC units were working overtime trying to cool off the dining area. It made for a very uncomfortable experience.
The service was excellent. The food was fantastic. The perfect place to watch the sunset on Key West.
Wonderful food and great views
Paella and Grouper were excellent. great spot to view sunset
Everything was amazing and the view was awesome. A great place to watch the sunset!
The food was extremely delicious. The view and ambiance was exactly what we were looking for. We had a late reservation (8:45) on a Friday and it was low key and lovely. It is expensive but the quality of food and drinks was very good!
We ended up sitting in the bar as it was more quiet than the dining room. I must say we had outstanding service from the two bartenders on duty that evening and we were also tended to by the evening’s hostess who made sure we were enjoying our meal. All three were professional and made our dining experience a lovely evening. Cannot day enough good things about the chef and the kitchen staff. Our meal was delicious and beautifully presented. We will return!
Amazing to watch the sunset from the balcony overlooking the ocean. The sun set right behind a little island and there was an impressive hydro board rider just off of the pier. A fantastic experience!
Service was incredible. The food could have been better for the price. Awesome views eating outside. Overall not bad.
