Hot Tin Roof
It's a mélange of tastes and fragrances, combining traditional Florida foods with Latin, Caribbean and tropical influences. It's funky, fun, and fresh with a broad range of tastes and sensations. The restaurant features a relaxed elegance with dramatic water and sunset views.
ATTENTION: Please advise that outside seating is limited and typically in high demand. Any request for outside seating cannot be considered a guarantee. We will do our best to honor requests while taking into account when the reservation was made and what is available at the time.
Quiet time of the year. We had the patio to ourselves for our 15th wedding Anniversary. The hostess Ashley became our server as well. Her service and attention to detail was over the top. She was fantastic. The goat cheese and roast beef potstickers appetizers were perfect. We shared Grill Mahi with a Soba noodle. It unfortunately was over salted. Cooked again perfect but just not 5 stars. Great street views good sunset. It is a must in Key West.
The food was excellent the plates are small servings but being able to try as many as you like a la carte was spectacular. Loved the overall ambience and the blody Mary bar was the best.
Servers took new food orders and they arrived so fast we didn't have time to enjoy the previous serving or anywhere on the table to place the new dishes. Would have been a much better experience if the serving was paced better. But otherwise we had fun, unlimited Bloodies and Mimosas were great, and the food was very good and interesting, not the usual brunch stuff. We'll be back (again, this was our second time).
Amazing dinner date with my Hubby! Most romantic semi-private balcony seating overlooking Sunset Pier. Nice view of the band and people watching of the Pier. Couldn’t get enough of the sailboats breezing by- picture perfect!
Loved the charred octopus app and black grouper entree, oh and you don’t want to miss the key lime pie!
We liked that Hot Tin Roof was within close proximity of our hotel/resort, and that it was on the water with sunset views. The surprise was the live music down the stairs to the Sunset Pier, which was fantastic. We weren't THAT hungry so we ordered some small plates, cocktails and the restaurant's favorite Key Lime pie. All the food was prepared by a quality chef no doubt as the presentation and taste was excellent. The waiter(s) were very attentive and pleasant. We were sat in a booth inside because we wanted the air conditioning (hot outside), but we still had a view of the sunset. We would definitely come back again for more fine dining and cocktails!
Ordered the tuna tacos thinking I would be a normal size taco and they brought out a taco that was literally smaller then my pinky finger would not recomened eating here if you are looking for a nice restaurant in key west go to the A&B lobster house great experience and great food at a normal plate serving portion
It was my Dad’s birthday and everyone was so nice to him! We were seated on the deck watching the sunset. Perfect evening!!!
This is a must splurge for Sunday Brunch. There are about 20 small plates to choose from (unlimited), unlimited Bloody Mary bar, and unlimited mimosas with about 7 juice choices. Sitting outside is spectacular. The breezes are wonderful and you can watch activities near the pool and/or the Gulf. Our water glasses were never empty and our plates were cleared quickly. They knew I was celebrating an early birthday and gave us a piece of fantastic Key Lime pie on the house. With an awesome palm tree made out of cinnamon. Its worth the stop. We had a noon reservation and were not hungry again until after 8PM!
Unreal sunset, service and food. A must go!
This qaint restaurant was the perfect setting for my wedding anniversary.
The server- Peter, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable when it comes to the food.
My husband and I will always remember this visit due to the great ambiance and the overall feel of the Hot Tin Roof.
Mad props!! ❤️❤️
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Be back next Sunday for Father’s Day bring- my favorite!
Great location, great service and ambiance but small portions for good food at a very high price. The key west pink shrimp chilled appetizer for example was pretty pricey for a total of 3 average size shrimp. All in all a nice place for a romantic date night.
If you want a great night out with your special lady do not go here. I was so looking forward to this meal with the sunset in the background but it didn't live up to the hype. The atmosphere was great but the food and especially the service was missing. I had to wait forever since I was not on the outside balcony even to get service. I was treated like an outsider and really ruined my first night in the Keys. Lack of attention to us was easily noticed when someone stopped by and asked have you been helped. Food was not that great but the way I was treated took the whole experience to a low. I finally just ate the appetizer and got my bill after five request to get it. I went to a local restaurant up the street to finish off supper and so glad I did.
Food was tasty but portions were small for the price. Drinks are also pricey. Nice view and decent service so overall enjoyable but again pricey even for the area
Our server was rude, the food was awful, the wine was terrible and everything was severely overpriced. Especially considering how terrible it is.
Beautiful views and the paella is incredible!
Amazing anniversary dinner!
I would recommend this Restaurant and the sunset experience to everyone! Peter was our server and he was so wonderful. We loved him. The hostess as we came in were also so special. My husband took me on this day for my birthday and I will never forget it. We ordered the grouper chowder “O M G”, the lobster with avocado appetizer, the grouper with boniato mash on coconut curry sauce- this is insanely delicious. From the small plate menu the octopus and the pork belly. Everything left me speechless. Simply amazing! The dessert was key lime pie. They brought it with a candle to celebrate my birthday. This is definitely the best key lime pie in the island WOW! I hid it well but, it was so special that I got tears in my eyes. Simply amazing views with an impeccable dining experience. I will be back and back and back! Thank you Hot Tin Roof!!!!
The food was spectacular, somewhat pricey but not unheard of. The area we sat in outside was beautiful but the cooling mechanism needs to 100% be updated. It was much much much too got to dine out there. The fans we were told didn’t go faster. Time for new fans! 😀 service was outstanding and everyone was kind and wonderful.
As soon as I book my tickets to Key West the second thing I do is book Sunday brunch at Hot Tin Roof. This place is fantastic! They think about everything from noise level to temperature to pace of the food brought out. I don't have enough words to express how much I enjoy brunching here.
The scenery was great, with a beautiful sunset from our table outside. But the atmosphere was destroyed by the band on the pier with a loud screeming singer trying his best to destroy Barry White and other soul legends. The food and service was not bad at all - but I am afraid there would be other restuarants at Key West I would recommend instead. But again, if you like a restaurant to enjoy the sunset - this is a good option.
My daughter's 18th birthday was the occasion but unfortunately they seated us near the entrance to the bathroom. We spent dinner watching people go in an out which was unpleasant. The food itself was very good and we enjoyed our food. We ordered small plates which was really nice. The toasted bread with manchego butter was outstanding.
It was our honeymoon dinner and everything was incredible. Patrik was our server and he was impeccable!!! Thanks again for the great table!!!
Celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here on May 27th and it was exceptional! Food, staff, and ambiance was first class!
Amazing views, amazing food, amazing service, amazing decor, an amazing experience all around. The octopus, poke, and sofrito mussels were all delicious, thanks to our server for the recommendations. My fiancė ordered the swordfish which was prepared perfectly. I ordered the shrimp and scallops, those too were delicious. Our server was knowledgable and personable and made our experience comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely return and would recommend this restaurant highly.
Was in town for special birthday for a friend. Beautiful setting and food is as delicious
Sunset meal for last night of our trip
We just arrived at the Ocean Keys Resort and were looking for a place to eat dinner. Low and behold, Hot Tin Roof was right there. Dinner was great. Had the conch chowder and was blow away by it. Shrimp and pasta was equally as good with the pasta aldente and the shrimp only slightly over cooked. We would recommend a dinner at Hot Tin Roof.
Oleg was a very good server. The view of the water and sunset are why you would want to eat here. The food was not bad but just an uninspired OK at prices higher than the norm for here.
Best place hands down! 3rd time at the restaurant and never disappoints. Food on point and view is amazing!
Consistently good. My third time here and always different food and great service! Unlimited champagne and Bloody Mary bar is a bonus! Stay for as long as you want on a Sunday Brunch!
The food was great and we had a wonderful time with great company! Thanks:)
Our only complaint was the Island Spiced Tuna lacked flavor/seasoning. We wished it had been heavier on seasoning. Everything else was delicious including the grouper chowder, the black grouper entree, and the Key Lime pie. Service was top notch as well! Would def return and recommend to friends.
Wonderful birthday celebration with my husband. We were married in November, planned a trip to Key West for years and Hot Tin Roof was perfect.
50th bday celebrations for my husband and I. The service was impeccable and the food absolutely delicious and well presented.
Very disappointed in the quality of the food for the price. Lobster mac and cheese was dried out and had almost no lobster meat. Food was mediocre at best.
we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to hot tin roof. It is located at the end of Duval Street and right in the heart of the sunset Pier. My wife and I ate tapas-style, we had oysters on the half shell, mahi-mahi ceviche, mac and cheese with lobster, albondigas and wild mushroom bruschetta. They were all spectacular. I couldn't tell you about the entrees, as we never got that far. I thought the server was very attentive. The only drawback was a table that was a bit loud was seated next to us. For while they were trying to see who could talk the other across the table loudest. They eventually calm down and we had a lovely evening.
Service needs to be improved - waiter wasn’t attentive at all... did not know all the dishes very well and couldn’t even recommend one of the cocktails from the list. The sunset was nothing but picturesque, which made the experience so amazing.
We had a lovely dinner celebrating our 26th Anniversary. The food & service were exemplary. The sunset was out of this world. We will be back.
