    Great food but terrible service. It wasn’t busy and we’ve been here many times before and always have had great service so hopefully just a bad night

    I have been coming here for more than 30 years and was disappointed when I arrived with a reservation, to be seated in the bar. There is a large dining room. Our server was attentive and I was given a free dessert for my birthday but my girlfriend did not like the Cajun pasta dish. The overall experience was lacking.

    We have been to Horatio's a number of times, and this visit was disappointing. It was a late lunch, around 2 pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was not busy and had a few groups that appeared to be celebrating a graduation. There seemed to be plenty of staff, but we had to ask several times for our waiter so we could order. We finally had someone come to our table, we ordered a couple of items from the bar, some appetizers and our entrees. It took forever to get our drinks, which we had to remind our waiter of them. Our entrees came out before our appetizers, and we had to cancel it. Likewise, one of the bar items never arrived, and again, we had to remind them. This is not to be directed only to the waiter, but someone should have at least come to our table to explain the reasons for this poor service. Very disappointed this time and honestly doubt we will ever return to the restaurant. It's also disappointing that in the last few visits over the course of this year the marina is completely empty. The views can be impeccable but not when empty.

    Walk into this place and you're stepping back into the 1970s. It's crying for a remodel. Beyond the horrendously dated interior, the food is almost inedible. My Cobb salad arrived undressed. I've had better salads at McDonalds. Limp lettuce, cold bacon bits, and no dressing. And this was a $25 salad. Huh? My lunch companion had to wait another 20 minutes for his sandwich, which arrived in a similar state. Bland, hospital food. Nothing was good. Not going back ever.

    Disappointing service at best and the restaurant was not that busy. The prime rib was terrible. I should have sent it back. I should not have had to ask the waiter for a steak knife nor should our water glasses ecer have been empty.

    Our server Autumn was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable. This is third time here in 4 months. Food is great. Ambiance is amazing!

    All three of us had the open faced crab sandwiches. Two had a small side salad with the Maple Balsamic dressing which is very good. The sandwiches and fries were yummy. We were seated at table 12 which is right next to the window with a good view of the water and planes flying in to OAK.
