Hopsmith Tavern is where game day, happy hour, and late nights collide. Located in Chicago’s Gold Coast, we’re pouring 30 rotating taps, serving scratch-made American fare, and keeping the party going long after the final whistle.

If it’s on TV, we’ve got it—college rivalries, pro sports, or local matchups. Our two-story space blends modern design with eclectic charm, featuring a fireplace, bold décor, and a retractable second-floor roof. With street-level open windows and TVs everywhere, you won’t miss a play.

But let’s talk food. From Chimichurri Steak Sliders to Nashville Hot Chicken Dip, dry-aged smash burgers, and signature flatbreads, our menu hits the spot whether it’s kickoff or last call.

The price of the drinks were outrageous. My husband and I each ordered one drink , one cosmopolitan and one kettle one on the rocks and including tax and tip the bill for the drinks was $60. We liked the place and the food was good, but we won't be going back.

Food was excellent, great beer selection, we were like the only people on the second floor and it seemed like our server kind of forgot about us a few times, it took forever to get drinks after we sat down.

It was my birthday and it was a great place to celebrate with friends! I'm from out of town and a friend suggested we go there-- glad we did! The waitress was very nice and acknowledged my birthday with a sparkler while bringing our drinks to the table.

Probably my favorite bar in the city to watch a game. The managers Sean and Damien have always taken care of us, and the servers are always quick to check in. We've made this a Sunday tradition for Lions' games, but they'll play any game you request. The food is much better than standard bar food so its a great place even if you're just looking for a solid lunch or dinner. Great spot overall.
